Own a Redmyre Road mansion, lease a unit off Churchill Avenue or run a kitchen facing Strathfield Square? Our seasonal Strathfield deals stretch from Strathfield Plaza to Hudson Park and the Albert Road end. Mention this promotion as you book and the saving goes on your quote.

Postcode 2135 splits almost evenly. The 2021 Census recorded 45.4 per cent separate houses and 49.3 per cent flats, against 21.7 per cent flats across NSW, and a third of homes have four or more bedrooms. Victorian, Federation, interwar and Californian bungalow houses line Victoria Street, Llandilo Avenue and Kingsland Road, while walk-ups from the 1960s and 1970s sit between them. We do full rewires of big period homes, lighting plans for rebuilt mansions on Barker Road and board swaps in older unit blocks.

The town centre south of the station is packed with Korean restaurants, grocers and cafes around Strathfield Square and Strathfield Plaza, and car yards trade along Parramatta Road and Liverpool Road. We add kitchen circuits for grill tables and exhaust hoods, light up showroom floors and carry out commercial electrical upkeep in shops beside the bus interchange.

Same-day service reaches every corner of Strathfield, from the Golden Mile down to Liverpool Road. Typical urgent jobs: a mansion on Albert Road losing a whole wing after storm water enters an old junction box, a charred outlet in a 1970s walk-up, or a barbecue restaurant dropping power at dinner.
Strathfield keeps us busy on two very different fronts. On the wide avenues near Homebush Road, families restoring or rebuilding large homes want new switchboards, garden lighting and cabling for home offices. Around the station, landlords with apartments in the towers and the older walk-ups need smoke alarm checks and quick repairs, since the 2021 Census showed 43.9 per cent of dwellings are rented. As a Strathfield electrician we also look after Korean eateries and grocers near the square.
No two call-outs look alike. One morning might mean tracing a failed lighting circuit in an 1880s villa off Redmyre Road; the afternoon could be fitting sub-boards in a converted Federation house now split into flats. When a fault cannot wait, our emergency electricians head over quickly, and we cover every neighbouring pocket of the Inner West as well.

Redmyre Road keeps most of its Victorian mansions and big Federation houses. We rewire behind ornate plaster, split overloaded circuits and upgrade lighting while leaving original ceilings, fireplaces and stained glass unharmed.
High-rise blocks have gone up round the station since the Plaza opened in 1981. We handle faults inside each lot, swap tired unit boards and work with strata managers on common-area lighting.
Strathfield is widely known as Little Korea. Table grills, extraction fans and cool rooms draw heavy loads, so we plan dedicated circuits and book disruptive work outside meal service.
Agnes Street, Newton Road and Barker Road see many new large homes. We plan lighting, data and power outlets from the frame stage, including circuits for pool pumps and future car chargers.

Our licensed crew has worked inside Strathfield villas designed by Harry Kent and George Sydney Jones, so tall ceilings, cellar runs and heavy original joinery hold no surprises.

Every quote starts with a look at the site. A Barker Road rebuild and a 1970s unit near the Plaza need different effort, so each gets its own written, locked number.

When a restaurant on the square trips out before the dinner rush or a Llandilo Avenue home goes dark, we shuffle the day so a van can reach you fast.

Among our 250+ customers are Strathfield landlords, big-house owners and Korean restaurateurs, and plenty of them came to us after a tip from a neighbour or school parent.

Our labour is covered for life on all Strathfield work, from garden lighting along an Albert Road driveway to a new board in a converted Federation flat.

Give us your address and mention gates, intercoms or school drop-off traffic near Santa Sabina or Meriden. We pick an arrival time that dodges the worst of it.

Our electrician inspects the board and the cable runs, explains the options in plain words, then emails a fixed figure. You approve it before any work begins.

Parking near Strathfield Square fills quickly, so we plan where the van goes and turn up inside the promised window, or phone well ahead if the Boulevarde is jammed.

Drop sheets protect polished floors in the grand homes, every scrap of cable leaves with us, and you get your CCEW with a written list of the circuits we changed.

Nearby suburbs we also serve

Strathfield became part of our weekly route not long after Spyro opened the doors in 2017, and our team of five-plus licensed electricians now knows its avenues well. The suburb asks a lot of range: sensitive work in century-old mansions, compliance jobs for investors with station-side apartments and fast fixes for busy Korean kitchens. We like that mix. Whoever quotes your Strathfield job also does it, so the details you mention at the first visit are not lost along the way.

Strathfield houses date from the 1870s onward, and its smaller unit blocks were mostly built in the 1960s and 1970s, so many boards here are older than the people living with them. With a third of 2135 homes holding four or more bedrooms, loads have grown far beyond what those boards were built for.

Each Strathfield job ends with a CCEW lodged in your name, which is the formal NSW record that the work complies. In villas built in the 1880s and 1890s we often meet rubber-insulated cable joined to later wiring, and anything we disturb is either corrected or written up for you. Once we alter a board, AS/NZS 3000 calls for RCD protection across the final subcircuits, and the May 2023 ruling means Type AC devices never go into new work.
You see the full figure, in writing, before we start. Guessing a price by phone makes little sense in Strathfield: new downlights in a modern tower apartment by the station might take a morning, while the same job in a two-storey Federation house on Kingsland Road involves roof access, old lath ceilings and far longer cable runs. We visit, measure, then commit to one number.
Planning a rebuild on Newton Road, chasing a smoke alarm notice for a unit near the station, or needing another circuit for a grill kitchen on the square? Dial 02 8999 3691; we inspect in person, put a locked figure in writing and stand behind the labour for life.
Owners of big period homes, apartment investors and restaurant operators in Strathfield raise these points with us most often. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often it is. Our electricians start at 7am and finish at 5:30pm on weekdays, with Saturday hours from 7am until 2pm, and Strathfield sits on our regular inner west runs. An early phone call usually lands a slot that day. Sparks from an outlet, a scorched smell or a main switch that snaps straight back off should be mentioned at once so we can bump you up the queue.
We come out, look at the job and then send a fixed price in writing. Similar requests can differ a lot here: adding a circuit to a newer apartment by the Plaza is quick, while the same task in an 1890s villa means lifting boards, crawling under suspended floors and working around ornate ceilings. The written figure only changes if you add extra work.
Large Victorian and Federation homes here have often been extended three or four times, so we find old rubber cable, later PVC and newer circuits all feeding one ageing board. We test insulation, check earthing and map every circuit, then tell you which runs are sound and which need replacing. You can stage the work room by room so heritage finishes stay intact.
Wiring downstream of your own unit board usually belongs to the lot owner. Main switchrooms, rising mains, car park lighting and stairwells are generally common property. With 49.3 per cent of Strathfield homes counted as flats in 2021, we sort this out regularly. We find the fault first, then give the owner and the strata manager a short written report showing where it sits.
They can. Houses such as Quisiana, built around 1893, carry heritage listings, and places such as Trinity Uniting Church and the Mount St Mary campus appear on heritage registers. Inside, rewiring is usually straightforward, but we route new cable through roof spaces and subfloors instead of chasing decorative plaster, and keep meter boxes and conduit off street facades. Check with Strathfield Council if approvals are unclear.
Put simply: at least one working alarm per level, a two business day turnaround once your tenant flags a dud, and a fresh unit whenever the date stamped on the back passes ten years. Mains-powered alarms are licensed electrician territory. About 43.9 per cent of Strathfield dwellings are leased, so investors often book us in the gap between tenancies for smoke alarm installation and a dated report for the agent.
Usually. Strathfield averaged 1.5 vehicles per dwelling in 2021, and most big houses have a driveway or garage, which makes home charging simple. We measure what headroom the board has, lay a separate feed to the garage and position the unit so the lead reaches the car without stretching. Tower apartments need strata sign-off and a plan for the shared car park supply first.
Yes. Kitchens around Strathfield Square, Albert Road and Churchill Avenue often run table grills, big exhaust fans and several fridges from supply that was sized for a quieter shop. We add circuits, balance loads across phases, fit exit and emergency lights and schedule noisy work outside trading so service carries on.
We can. Streets like Agnes Street, Newton Road and Barker Road are common spots for new homes, and owners want lighting, data cabling and outlets settled before the plaster goes up. We walk the frame with you, mark every point, allow for pool equipment, security and future car chargers, and hand over a circuit schedule at the end.
