Living on Windmill Parade, raising kids near the lake or dropping them at the Tramway Drive school each morning? Our Currans Hill deals also cover Kenny Hill Road, Caulfield Reserve and the Boyd Reserve streets. Tell us you spotted the offer while booking and we will honour it.

Currans Hill was farmland until the 1990s, when it was subdivided into medium-sized lots for a mix of public and private housing. The 2021 Census counted 94.3 per cent separate houses, averaging 3.6 bedrooms, and 54.4 per cent of homes carried a mortgage, far above the 32.5 per cent state figure. Boards from that building wave are now about thirty years old, so we do plenty of switchboard upgrades, kitchen and extension wiring and circuits for split systems.

Currans Hill is mostly residential, with a primary school, a Christian high school and church, a community hall and a corner store. Smeaton Grange, with its employment lands, borders the suburb to the west. For the school, hall and small premises we provide lighting upgrades, emergency and exit lighting and general commercial electrical maintenance.

Currans Hill gets our same-day service, from Narellan Road up to the Catherine Field boundary. The urgent jobs we see most are a thirty-year-old board tripping repeatedly, outdoor outlets flooded after a storm, a hot power point behind a busy family fridge or the air conditioner circuit failing on a scorching afternoon.
Young families drive most of our Currans Hill work. A quarter of residents are aged 14 or under, households average three people, and with more than half of homes mortgaged, owners are steadily improving what they have: a renovated kitchen, a bigger living area, split systems in the bedrooms, extra power for a home office. As your local Currans Hill electrician, we plan those upgrades so the original 1990s board keeps up.
The suburb’s history shows in its street names. Tramway Drive recalls the Camden tram known as Pansy, which ran through here from 1882 until 1963. Today the lake, the reserves and their cycleways are what families love. When something goes wrong without warning, our urgent electrical service can usually get to you on the day, just as it does across Macarthur.

Currans Hill was subdivided from farmland in the 1990s, and 94.3 per cent of dwellings are separate houses. Their original boards and cabling are ageing, so we test, repair and upgrade to current standards.
Camden Council's Narellan Creek flood study covers Currans Hill, including overland flow. After heavy rain we check outdoor outlets, garden lighting and pool equipment, and relocate fittings in low spots.
With 54.4 per cent of homes mortgaged, owners are improving rather than moving. We rewire renovated kitchens for induction cooking, add LED downlights and extend circuits into new living spaces.
The primary school on Tramway Drive, the community hall and the corner store need safe, dependable supply. We maintain lighting, test exit signs and emergency lights, and schedule work outside busy times.

Our licensed electricians have worked through many of the 1990s homes around the lake and Kenny Hill Road, so we know how their boards and roof cabling were typically laid out.

We quote after an inspection and fix the figure in writing. A single-storey home near Caulfield Reserve and a renovation on Windmill Parade each get a price built for that job.

No power in a house full of kids is urgent. Currans Hill callouts for outages, burning smells or sparks go to the licensed electrician closest to you on the day.

More than 250 customers have rated our work, including Currans Hill parents who found us through the school community and neighbours who saw our van parked down the street.

Every circuit we install in Currans Hill comes with a lifetime labour guarantee, including new wiring behind freshly renovated kitchens where a callback would mean damage to finished surfaces.

Call and give us your street and a rough idea of the job. We book around school runs to Tramway Drive, sport on weekends and whatever else your family has on.

After inspecting, we send a written fixed price. Renovators get it broken into stages so they can line it up with the builder, cabinetmaker or plasterer on site.

We arrive in the agreed window, parking on the driveway or kerb without blocking neighbours. If an earlier job runs late, we call rather than leave you guessing.

Before we go, dust sheets come up, offcuts are collected, every circuit is labelled and you get the compliance certificate, ready to file with your home paperwork.

The business began with Spyro in 2017 and now runs with five-plus licensed electricians. Currans Hill fits naturally into our Macarthur week: family homes from the 1990s needing new boards, renovations that add kitchens and living space, and air conditioning circuits before summer. We give the same electrician to a job from quote to finish, answer questions in plain terms and leave homes safe for the kids who live in them.

Most Currans Hill houses were built during the 1990s subdivision, and a quarter of residents are children. Boards of that age often protect only some circuits with RCDs, which is why safety switch upgrades are a job we recommend here more than in newer suburbs.

Each Currans Hill job is covered by a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work, which NSW requires for all electrical installation work. In homes from the 1990s we test the circuits we touch and point out any that lack protection. If we alter or replace a board, AS/NZS 3000 requires RCDs on the final subcircuits, and since 1 May 2023 Type AC units have been ruled out of new work.
We give a fixed written figure before starting. A flat rate would mislead, because swapping a few fittings in a single-storey home near Boyd Reserve takes little time, while wiring a full kitchen renovation in a two-storey house off Kenny Hill Road involves new circuits, board work and coordination with other trades. We inspect first and then name one price.
Tripping board in a 1990s home, a kitchen renovation that needs rewiring, or air conditioning to install before summer? Ring 02 8999 3691. A licensed electrician will come to your Currans Hill home, explain the job and put one fixed price in writing, with labour guaranteed for life.
Currans Hill families, renovators and homeowners around the lake and reserves ask us these most. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
In most cases, yes. We work weekdays from 7am to 5:30pm and Saturdays from 7am to 2pm, with no Sunday work. Currans Hill sits between our Camden and Campbelltown jobs, so ringing 02 8999 3691 before lunch often gets an electrician to you that afternoon. Faults involving no power, sparks or heat are moved ahead of planned jobs.
We only set a price after seeing the job. Replacing fittings in a single-storey house is quick, but rewiring a renovated kitchen or upgrading a thirty-year-old board takes more time and materials. Once we have inspected, you receive a fixed written quote, and that figure holds unless you decide to change or add to the work.
Not always, but it is worth checking. Boards from the 1990s subdivision often protect only some circuits with safety switches and use older breakers that were never meant for today’s air conditioners, induction cooktops and chargers. We test the board, check each circuit and tell you whether a repair, an added RCD or a full upgrade makes most sense.
Currans Hill is inside the Narellan Creek catchment, which Camden Council studied for both creek flooding and overland flow. If water has reached outdoor outlets, garden lights, pool equipment or the meter box, switch off at the main if safe and call us. We test the affected circuits, dry or replace fittings and can move equipment above likely water levels.
Yes. Many Currans Hill owners renovate rather than move, and the kitchen is usually first. We plan circuits for induction cooking, ovens, dishwashers and benchtop appliances, fit under-cabinet and ceiling lighting, and coordinate our rough-in with your builder and cabinetmaker so walls are closed only once wiring is complete and tested.
We can. Summer days in Camden can be very hot, and families here often add split systems to bedrooms and living areas. We check board capacity, run dedicated circuits with isolators and coordinate with your air conditioning installer. Booking in spring avoids the rush when the first heatwave arrives.
Yes. Households average 2.1 vehicles and almost all homes have a garage or driveway, so charging at home is usually practical. We confirm your board has spare capacity, run a dedicated circuit to the garage and mount the charger where it suits your car. If the board needs work first, we include that in the same fixed quote.
We handle small commercial and community work, including lighting upgrades, emergency and exit lighting, and power for new equipment. For buildings like the school on Tramway Drive or the community hall, we schedule work outside busy times and provide documentation for maintenance records.
Keep everyone away from it, especially small children, and do not unplug anything that feels hot. If you can safely reach the board with dry hands, switch off the main. Then ring 02 8999 3691 and tell us it is sparking so we prioritise the visit. We isolate the circuit, find the cause and give you a written price for the repair.
If the whole street is out, it is a network fault for Endeavour Energy, which you can report on 131 003. If only your house or some of your circuits are off, the fault is likely inside your installation, and we can help. For fallen power lines after a storm or any fire, stay clear and call 000.
