Hobby farm off Cattai Ridge Road, a family place near Hillside Public School, or a shop in Glenorie Village by the RSL? Our Glenorie deals last a limited time and reach out to the Old Northern Road properties too. Quote it when booking and we take it off the bill.

Almost every Glenorie home is a detached house: the 2021 Census put separate dwellings at 98.3 per cent, well above the 65.6 per cent NSW figure. Homes average 4.1 bedrooms and 3.2 residents, and allotments here tend toward two hectares. That scale means long runs from the meter to the house, pool, shed and granny flat. We handle board replacements, extra circuits for large kitchens and home offices, and outdoor lighting across wide driveways and paddock gates.

Glenorie Village is the local centre, with retail shops, a bakery and cafe, a gym and the Glenorie RSL. Around it sit hobby farms and small rural businesses. We look after shop lighting, cool room and oven circuits, commercial electrical maintenance, and power to farm sheds and workshops.

Our same-day service covers Glenorie from the village strip along Old Northern Road out to the ridge-line properties. Frequent urgent faults here include a water pump losing supply, a shed sub-board tripping after heavy rain, lightning damage to gate motors, and whole-house outages on long private feeds.
Glenorie is a place of big households and bigger blocks. At the 2021 Census the average home had 3.2 people and three vehicles, and 43.1 per cent were paying off a mortgage. Families here call a Glenorie electrician for kitchen and laundry extensions, outdoor entertaining areas, pool equipment and ceiling fans for bedrooms that catch the summer heat, as well as reliable supply to machinery sheds.
The district grew on orchards from the 1860s, with mandarins shipped to New Zealand until the 1920s, and later came a quarry and a sawmill that ran into the 1960s. Older farm buildings from that working past still turn up with tired wiring. We rewire them properly, split loads onto new circuits, and respond to an electrical emergency on a rural property as quickly as anywhere across the Hills District.

With 69.3 per cent of homes carrying four or more bedrooms, Glenorie houses draw heavy loads. We upgrade boards, add circuits for kitchens, laundries and air conditioning, and label everything so faults are easy to trace.
Glenorie Village has a bakery cafe, retail shops, a gym and the RSL club. We handle lighting, refrigeration circuits, exit signs and fault repairs, and plan work around opening hours.
Glenorie has had a volunteer bushfire brigade since 1947, and many properties border bush. We fit weatherproof outdoor fittings, keep cabling clear of trees and add surge protection for exposed equipment.
Almost 15 per cent of Glenorie homes are rented. Landlords call us for hard-wired smoke alarm replacements, one per storey, repairs inside two business days and records showing manufacture dates.

Semi-rural wiring is everyday work for our licensed team: long underground sub-mains, pump circuits, and sheds that were powered decades ago by whoever was handy at the time.

Prices are set after a proper look. A lighting job near the village shops and a new supply to a paddock workshop off Cattai Ridge Road are quoted as the separate jobs they are.

When a Glenorie pump, freezer or whole house loses power, we treat it as urgent and route the nearest van your way, often reaching you within hours.

Hills acreage families make up a good slice of our 250+ customers, and Glenorie jobs frequently come by word of mouth from neighbours along Old Northern Road.

Labour on work we do in Glenorie is guaranteed for life, whether it is a single outlet in a farm shed or a complete rewire of a four-bedroom home.

Mention any gates, livestock or dogs, and which driveway suits a van. We then pick a time that suits farm routines, school runs or the hours your village shop trades.

Our electrician checks the board, the route to any outbuildings and the ground conditions, then send a written fixed figure before any trench is dug or wire is pulled.

Glenorie is a longer drive than most of our suburbs, so we plan the route and keep to the agreed window. If a delay comes up, we call you straight away.

Paddocks and gardens are left as we found them, trenches are filled and compacted, and the compliance paperwork arrives with a clear sketch of any underground runs.

Since 2017, when Spyro set things going, the business has grown to five-plus licensed electricians. Rural Hills suburbs like Glenorie ask more of us than tight city lots: longer cable runs, outbuildings, water pumps and the odd piece of wiring nobody can explain. We enjoy that. The same electrician who scopes your job sees it through, and you get straight answers about what your property actually needs.

Glenorie allotments average around two hectares, and hobby farms sit alongside family homes, so power has to reach well beyond the house. With many springs in the area and a long orchard history, sheds, workshops and pumps are a big part of the electrical picture here.

Every Glenorie job we sign off earns its own CCEW, the compliance certificate NSW demands once regulated electrical work is complete. On rural blocks that covers buried sub-mains, pump circuits and shed boards, not only the house. When a switchboard is changed, AS/NZS 3000 brings residual current protection onto all final subcircuits, and because Type AC units have been barred from new installs since 1 May 2023, we fit Type A or higher.
A phone estimate rarely holds up in Glenorie, so we come and look first, then confirm a fixed figure in writing. Adding a light circuit to a house near the village is quick work. Running supply across a paddock to a workshop on a two-hectare block means trenching, conduit and a sub-board. Once you have the written price, it stays put unless you change the job.
Shed without dependable power, a pump that keeps tripping, or a big family home with a board past its best? Book on 02 8999 3691 for a site visit to your Glenorie property; we give you a set price on paper and back the labour for good.
What Glenorie hobby farmers, rural families and village shop owners most often ask us. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Most days we can. Weekday call-outs run between 7 in the morning and 5:30 in the afternoon, and Saturdays close at 2pm. Glenorie is further out than most of our area, so calling 02 8999 3691 early helps us route a van your way. A burning smell, sparking, or no water because the pump has lost power jumps ahead of routine work.
We give no figures until we have seen the property. Distances on Glenorie blocks vary so much that the same request, such as powering a shed, can take a few hours or a couple of days depending on the trench length and ground. After inspecting, we give a written fixed figure that does not change unless you add to the scope.
Yes. With allotments here averaging about two hectares, long underground runs are routine for us. We size the cable for the distance and load, trench to the required depth with warning tape, and fit a separate sub-board with RCD protection in the shed. We also mark the route so it is not dug up later.
Common culprits are moisture in the pump housing or junction box, a failing motor, damaged underground cable, or an RCD reacting to a real fault. Glenorie is known for its springs, and pump faults are a regular call for us on rural blocks. We test insulation resistance on the circuit, find the actual fault and repair it, rather than simply resetting the switch.
It is worth considering. Glenorie has had a volunteer bushfire brigade since 1947, and many properties sit against bush. We use outdoor-rated fittings, keep cables and fittings clear of vegetation, and can install isolation switches for pumps and outbuildings. For building rules on bushfire-prone land, check with The Hills or Hornsby council.
Yes. Glenorie households average three vehicles, and with long distances to shops and schools, a home charger is useful. We check the board has capacity, lay a separate feed out to wherever the cars sleep, and position the unit to match how you park. If the board is full, we will explain the upgrade needed first.
We do. The village includes a bakery and cafe, retail shops, a gym and the RSL club. We install and repair lighting, add circuits for refrigeration and ovens, maintain exit and emergency lighting, and schedule noisy or disruptive work before opening or after close so trading continues.
A leased NSW home must have an alarm working on every level; once a tenant flags a dead one, the landlord has two business days to fix it, and units pass their use-by ten years after the date stamped on them. Hard-wired alarms must be fitted by a licensed electrician. With nearly 15 per cent of Glenorie homes rented, we can also do alarm testing between tenancies and leave records.
Yes. When we are on a Glenorie property for a booked job, we look over the board, test the RCDs and check visible wiring at no extra cost, then tell you what we found. If you want a full inspection that includes outbuildings and pumps, we explain what it covers and give you a fixed price first.
Every sparkie we send carries a current NSW licence and insurance. The firm dates to 2017 under Spyro, and 7,000-plus projects later we field five-plus electricians. Labour is guaranteed for life on every job, and you get the compliance certificate once the work is done.
