Living near St Anne’s Square, running a shop by the Homebush Road corner or managing a warehouse past the Cooks River? Our Strathfield South specials also reach Ford Park, Dean Reserve and Coronation Parade. Name the deal on your first call so it shows on the quote.

Strathfield South is low-rise and settled. In the 2021 Census, 55.3 per cent of its homes were separate houses, 14.5 per cent semis or townhouses and 29.2 per cent flats, and roughly six in ten had three or more bedrooms. Streets such as Dean Street and Water Street date from the 1867 Redmire Estate subdivision, with a few Victorian and Federation homes left among later brick houses. We rewire those survivors, add circuits for extensions and handle switchboard replacements in older villas and semis.

Everything west and south of the Cooks River is industrial, anchored by the large Enfield Intermodal Logistics Centre, while a cluster of shops sits where Liverpool Road meets Homebush Road. We service warehouse lighting, three-phase machinery and loading dock gear, and handle tenancy changes for the small retailers.

We offer same-day service right through 2136, from the Liverpool Road shops to the riverside streets. Frequent urgent calls here include a Federation home whose old fuses keep blowing, a dead circuit in a 1960s brick semi after a storm, and warehouse lighting failing mid-shift.
Families who have owned their homes for years make up much of our Strathfield South work, and the Census backs that up, with 63.2 per cent of homes owned outright or under a mortgage. They ask for kitchen upgrades, more outlets for home offices, air conditioning circuits and brighter garden lighting. As a Strathfield South electrician we also look after the minority of rented flats and the industrial tenants across the river.
The jobs vary with the street. Near St Anne’s Square we tend to meet older wiring in homes on the church’s historic village subdivision, while newer apartments on the Hume Highway need unit board repairs. When a fault turns serious, our emergency electrical team can be sent straight over, and we look after homes and businesses right across the Inner West.

Separate houses make up 55.3 per cent of homes in 2136. Many have had rooms added over decades, so we untangle circuits spliced during past renovations and upgrade old boards to modern standards.
Dean Street, Water Street and the saint-named streets near St Anne's Square come from nineteenth century subdivisions. We rewire the surviving Victorian and Federation homes with care for their original fabric.
West and south of the Cooks River the suburb turns fully industrial around the Enfield Intermodal Logistics Centre. We handle high-bay lighting, three-phase outlets and fault finding on dock equipment.
Semis, terraces and townhouses make up 14.5 per cent of dwellings. Where walls are shared we confirm what belongs to each owner and fit RCD protection without disturbing the neighbour's supply.

Our licensed electricians know the brick houses, semis and scattered Victorian cottages of old Druitt Town, and read their patched wiring histories quickly.

We look at the job, then commit to a figure on paper. A small Dean Street cottage and a warehouse across the Cooks River get their own quotes, as the work differs completely.

When a home near Ford Park loses power or a warehouse forklift charger stops, we rearrange our Strathfield South run so someone gets to you promptly.

Many of our 250+ customers live between Liverpool Road and the river, and a good share found us through a neighbour’s recommendation or the St Anne’s parish grapevine.

Every piece of labour we do in a Strathfield South home or warehouse carries a lifetime guarantee, including the cabling you will never see inside walls and roofs.

Tell us where you are, whether the house has a side gate or dog, and any school pick-up times near St Anne’s. We then offer a time that suits the household.

An electrician checks your board and wiring, walks you through the options without jargon, then sends a fixed written figure for your approval before work starts.

Street parking is usually easy in Strathfield South, so we arrive in the agreed window. If Liverpool Road traffic holds us up, you get a call with a revised time.

Drop cloths cover the floors, offcuts ride home with us, and your compliance paperwork arrives with a short rundown of each circuit altered in the house.

Roads such as Dean Street and Water Street were set out in the 1867 Redmire Estate subdivision, and St Anne’s village lots were sold from 1854, so parts of 2136 hold wiring layered over many decades. With 55.3 per cent of homes being separate houses mostly held by long-term owners, full or partial rewires are a job we quote often here.

Strathfield South customers receive a CCEW after each visit, which is the state’s formal proof the work meets the wiring rules. In homes that have been extended several times since the Redmire Estate days, any old wiring we touch is either brought into line or noted in writing for you. Changing or replacing a board also means AS/NZS 3000 RCD protection on all final subcircuits, while Type AC units have had no place in fresh installations since 1 May 2023.
We never guess a figure over the phone. Rewiring a single-storey brick house off Homebush Road is a very different task from repairing high-bay lighting in a riverside warehouse, where access equipment and shift times matter. So we inspect first, explain what we found, then send a fixed price in writing that stays put unless you ask for more.
Old fuses in a Water Street cottage, a flickering warehouse near the river or an extension that needs new circuits? Phone 02 8999 3691 to have the job inspected in person, priced in writing as one firm figure and covered by our lifetime labour promise.
Home owners near St Anne’s Square, landlords with flats on the highway and industrial tenants across the Cooks River ask us these questions. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Quite often, yes. Our vans are out 7am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 2pm Saturday, and 2136 sits beside our regular Strathfield and Enfield runs. A morning call improves the odds of a visit that afternoon. Let us know straight away about smoke from a fitting or a main switch that keeps dropping out.
Access, age and scope. A new circuit in a recently built highway apartment is short work; the same in a Federation home near St Anne’s Square may involve tight subfloors and old cable that must be replaced first. We visit, assess, then send one fixed written price. It only moves if you decide to add more to the job.
It may not be. Many Strathfield South homes have had kitchens, bathrooms and rear rooms added across the decades, often with new cable joined onto old in the roof. We test each circuit, look for overloaded joins and missing earths, and give you a clear list of what is fine and what should be fixed, in order of urgency.
St Anne’s Roman Catholic Church on St Anne’s Square is on the NSW State Heritage Register, and the streets around it came from Father Therry’s 1854 subdivision. Work inside private homes nearby is usually unaffected, but we keep new meter boxes and conduit discreet on street-facing walls. Strathfield Council can confirm whether a particular property carries any local listing.
Yes. The industrial land west and south of the river includes the Enfield Intermodal Logistics Centre and surrounding sheds. We carry out commercial electrical work such as LED high-bay upgrades, three-phase outlets for machinery, emergency and exit light testing, and fault finding on roller doors and dock levellers, planned around your shift pattern.
Usually the owner looks after wiring from their own board inward, while strata covers common switchrooms, driveways and shared lighting. Semis and townhouses made up 14.5 per cent of homes in 2021 and flats 29.2 per cent, so this comes up regularly. Once the fault is traced, both parties get the same written finding, so the bill lands with the right person.
In most houses, yes. The suburb averaged 1.7 vehicles per dwelling in the 2021 Census and many homes have driveways or garages. We check whether the existing board has room, run a separate circuit to the parking spot and mount the charger at a height that suits your car. Older boards sometimes need an upgrade first, and we will tell you if so.
Rentals need an alarm working on each storey, repairs within two business days of the tenant telling you, and replacement once alarms hit ten years from manufacture. Hard-wired alarms must be fitted by a licensed electrician. About a third of Strathfield South homes are rented, and we offer smoke alarm testing with a dated record for your property manager.
Yes. Homes backing toward St Anne’s Reserve, Dean Reserve and the Cooks River path often want better security and garden lighting. We run weatherproof circuits, fit sensor lights and low-glare LED fittings, and keep all outdoor work on its own RCD so rain or garden hoses do not trip the whole house.
The whole of Strathfield South 2136, including St Anne’s Square, the Liverpool Road shops, Homebush Road, Coronation Parade, Dean Street, Water Street, Ford Park, Dean Reserve, Cooke Park, Maria Reserve and the industrial land by the Cooks River. We also cover Strathfield, Enfield, Belfield, Burwood Heights, Croydon Park, Burwood and Homebush West.
