Riverview is close to all family houses. The 2021 Census counted 97.5 per cent separate houses, well above the 65.6 per cent NSW figure, with 71.7 per cent of homes at four or more bedrooms and 89.2 per cent owned outright or mortgaged. Streets run down from Tambourine Bay Road and River Road West towards Tambourine Bay and Burns Bay, so many houses sit on sloping bush-edged blocks. We handle renovation wiring, board replacements, pool circuits and lighting for homes enlarged over several decades.

Riverview’s commercial life is small and local. York’s Corner on Tambourine Bay Road holds a deli, butcher, pharmacy, medical practice and salons beside Marjorie York Park. For these tenancies we provide lighting upgrades, extra circuits for refrigeration and equipment, commercial electrical maintenance and fault repairs outside busy hours.

We offer same-day service right across Riverview. Urgent calls here often involve a board overloaded by air conditioning during a heatwave, garden and pool circuits tripping after heavy rain, storm branches damaging outdoor fittings near the reserves, or half a split-level house suddenly without power.
Riverview families are big and they stay. The Census found an average of 3.2 people per household and 2.1 vehicles per dwelling, and just 8.3 per cent of homes were rented. That shapes our work: kitchen and bathroom renovations, second living areas, pool upgrades, garage chargers and air conditioning circuits for houses that were built with far smaller loads in mind. As your Riverview electrician we also look after the traders at York’s Corner.
Heat is a real factor. The Riverview Observatory recorded 45.4 degrees in January, and upstairs bedrooms facing the river bake on summer afternoons, so ceiling fans and dedicated cooling circuits are common requests. When something fails without warning, our emergency electrician team comes across from nearby Lane Cove and Longueville jobs and elsewhere in the North Shore.

Nearly 72 per cent of Riverview homes have four or more bedrooms. Extensions, second living rooms and home offices add load, so we plan circuits and board capacity to keep everything running without nuisance trips.
Many streets fall towards Tambourine Bay and Burns Bay. Pool gear, garden lighting and outdoor outlets on these damp slopes need weatherproof fittings and dependable safety switch protection.
The shops beside Marjorie York Park include a butcher, deli, pharmacy and medical rooms. We keep refrigeration circuits, shop lighting and emergency lights working, with repairs arranged around opening hours.
Tall trees around Tambourine Bay Reserve and Burns Bay Reserve sit close to houses. After storms we repair damaged outdoor lighting, check roof-space wiring and restore power once the area is safe.

We have opened up plenty of Riverview family homes, from older houses off Tambourine Bay Road to large rebuilds overlooking Burns Bay, and our licences cover all of it.

A lighting job in a single-level house near York’s Corner and the same scope in a three-level home above the bay are priced separately, in writing, after we inspect.

A dead circuit during a Riverview heatwave or a board that smells hot gets moved up our list, so families are not left waiting days for help.

250+ customers rate our work, including households in the leafy streets between River Road West and Tambourine Bay Park and the shopkeepers at York’s Corner.

Each circuit we put into your Riverview home, from pool power to a garage charger, stays covered by our lifetime guarantee on labour for as long as you live there.

Give us your address and a quick outline of the job. Riverview streets are quiet, but on steep blocks we ask about stairs and parking before confirming a slot.

We check the existing board, the load and the path cable must follow, then write one fixed price and explain it in plain terms before any work starts.

Our electrician drives in via Tambourine Bay Road and turns up within the arranged window, calling ahead if school traffic near St Ignatius’ pushes the time back.

We cover carpets and timber floors, carry away every offcut, test each circuit we worked on and hand over the compliance certificate for your files.

Back in 2017 Spyro took his first calls; today five-plus licensed electricians carry the name around the Lower North Shore. Riverview jobs suit our approach: large houses, owners planning long-term improvements and blocks where access takes some thought. From ceiling fans in a Kallaroo Road bedroom to a full board change near Marjorie York Park, one electrician quotes the job and sees it through.

The Riverview Observatory has logged January highs of 45.4 degrees, and 97.5 per cent of homes here are detached houses with plenty of rooms to cool. Many were wired before ducted air and multiple split systems became normal, so cooling circuits are a job we quote often.

NSW rules tie a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work to every job, and each Riverview visit ends with one. In family homes extended more than once, that certificate also shows later owners what changed and when. Replacing or altering a board triggers the AS/NZS 3000 requirement for RCDs on the final subcircuits, and because Type AC units cannot go into new work from 1 May 2023 onwards, we install Type A or better.
Every Riverview price we give is fixed and written after a visit. Replacing lights in a single-storey brick house near York’s Corner can be straightforward. The same job in a three-level home stepping down towards Tambourine Bay may need cable threaded between floors, work under decks and new circuits for pool equipment. Seeing it first lets us quote once and hold the figure.
Need cooling circuits before summer, lighting for a sloping garden or a bigger board for a renovated family home? Dial 02 8999 3691 to have a licensed electrician walk through your Riverview property, explain what is involved and confirm a fixed written price, with lifetime labour cover.
Riverview families, renovators and York’s Corner shop owners ask us these questions regularly. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often yes. Vans head out at 7am and finish at 5:30pm Monday to Friday, with Saturday running 7am to 2pm and Sunday a rest day. Riverview sits between our regular Lane Cove and Longueville work, so ringing 02 8999 3691 before mid-morning gives the best odds of a visit that day. Tell us early if there is a burning smell or a board that feels hot.
We set the price after a visit. A new power point in a single-level house near Tambourine Bay Road is simple, while the same request in a split-level home above Burns Bay can mean long cable runs and tricky access. Once we have seen it, you receive a fixed quote in writing that covers labour, materials and certification, and it only changes if you add work.
Usually because too much load now shares too few circuits. Riverview houses often gained ducted air, split systems and pool gear long after the board was installed. On a 40 degree afternoon everything runs together. We check the load and each circuit, look for faulty appliances or damaged cable, and then recommend new circuits or a switchboard upgrade if the board is undersized.
Yes. Many Riverview gardens fall towards the bay, with pools on terraced levels. We install dedicated circuits for pumps, heaters and lighting, add weatherproof isolators and outlets, confirm equipotential bonding, and protect every circuit with an RCD. Cable is buried or enclosed where it crosses retaining walls and garden beds.
Storms can bring branches down across outdoor lights, fences and service lines, and possums can damage roof-space cabling. If the line to your house is down, stay well away, call Ausgrid on 13 13 88 and ring 000 if there is fire. Once the network side is safe, we inspect and repair wiring, outdoor fittings and damaged circuits on your property.
Yes. In large Riverview family homes, a new kitchen usually needs far more power than the original one. We run dedicated circuits for induction cooktops, ovens and dishwashers, add bench power where you need it, and design layered downlights and pendant lighting. We coordinate with your builder so the rough-in happens before walls are closed.
Usually. With 2.1 vehicles per dwelling and most homes having a garage or driveway, charging at home suits Riverview well. We check the board for spare capacity, lay a dedicated circuit to the parking spot and mount a charger with its own RCD. Where the board is tight, load management lets the charger share power safely.
We do. The strip on Tambourine Bay Road next to Marjorie York Park includes food, health and beauty businesses with fridges, freezers and treatment equipment. We maintain shop lighting, add circuits for new equipment, test emergency lights and fix faults, fitting disruptive work before opening or after close.
Yes. Bigger houses with several levels need alarms in the right places, and interconnected units mean an alarm downstairs sounds in upstairs bedrooms too. We install hard-wired smoke alarms, replace units older than ten years and test existing ones. For the small share of rented homes, we also meet landlord requirements.
All of Riverview 2066, including Tambourine Bay Road, River Road West, York’s Corner, Marjorie York Park, Kallaroo Road, Flaumont Avenue, Kooyong Road, Tambourine Bay Reserve and Burns Bay Reserve.
