Office tenants near Victoria Cross station, residents above Berry Square and owners in the Walker Street heritage houses can all claim our North Sydney specials, along with anyone close to St Leonards Park or Greenwood Plaza. Quote the special when booking to lock it in.

North Sydney living is overwhelmingly vertical. At the 2021 Census, 84.4 per cent of dwellings were flats, 8.9 per cent semis or terraces and just 6.0 per cent separate houses, while 31.5 per cent had one bedroom. Surviving Victorian and Federation homes, including the listed row at 11 to 37 Walker Street, sit between towers, and some were converted into boarding rooms decades ago. We replace apartment boards, trace faults in older blocks and rewire period houses that have been chopped up and patched many times.

North Sydney holds the second largest cluster of office buildings in NSW, much of it rising from the 1957 MLC Building onward, with advertising and IT firms dominant. We handle office fit-outs, data cabling, tenancy boards, emergency and exit lighting, and staged works timed around Miller Street trading hours.

Businesses and residents across 2060 get same-day service from our electricians, whether the call comes from a Berry Street tower or a Lavender Street terrace. Common urgent jobs: an office floor losing power before a deadline, a unit board tripping repeatedly, dead fire stair lighting, and a burnt outlet in an ageing boarding house conversion.
Our North Sydney work splits between office managers and apartment residents. Six in ten homes are rented, so leasing agents call about alarms and tired unit boards, while facility managers on Miller, Walker and Mount Streets need extra power and data when teams reshuffle floors. As your North Sydney electrician we also look after owners of the few period houses left near Don Bank and Christ Church.
The suburb changed fast. Twenty-seven towers went up in 1971 and 1972, and the Warringah Expressway cleared almost 500 houses and shops in the late sixties, so wiring here ranges from original to brand new within one block. We plan loading dock access, lift bookings and after-close shutdowns with building managers, and our same-day fault crew steps in when a floor or unit goes dark. North Sydney is the busiest centre we service across the North Shore.

North Sydney has the state's second largest office cluster. We rewire tenancies for new layouts, add floor boxes and lighting controls, and coordinate with building managers on shutdowns and access.
With 84.4 per cent of homes in apartment buildings, most jobs involve a compact unit board. We upgrade old ones, add RCD protection and separate lot circuits from common property.
Some Victorian and Federation homes became boarding houses with enclosed verandahs. We untangle old sub-circuits, remove unsafe additions and rewire while protecting listed facades and original interiors.
Rentals make up 60.7 per cent of North Sydney dwellings. We replace ageing alarms, test safety switches and give agents dated records between each tenancy.

North Sydney office towers are familiar ground for our licensed team, as are older apartment blocks and surviving Victorian homes, and we know shared risers, tenancy boards and heritage fabric alike.

We quote after seeing the site, with one fixed written figure. An office floor off Miller Street and a studio unit near Blue Street get separate numbers because access and scope differ.

When a North Sydney office floor goes dark before a pitch, or a unit board starts buzzing, we move that call up and send whoever is closest from the lower North Shore.

North Sydney office managers sit among our 250+ customers, next to, landlords and apartment owners, many sent our way by a building manager or colleague a few floors down.

Whatever we wire in North Sydney has its labour guaranteed for as long as it stands, from new office data points to a rewired heritage terrace on Walker Street.

Let us know the tower name, level and any loading dock or lift booking rules. We then fix a time that fits your work schedule, your tenants or the building manager’s approved hours.

Our electrician surveys the board, ceiling void and cable paths, explains the scope, and sends a single fixed figure in writing well before any work begins.

Kerbside spots near Miller Street are rare, so we book a loading bay early and reach you inside the promised window. Harbour Bridge traffic sometimes bites, and when it does you hear from us first.

Floors and lifts get protected, offcuts and packaging leave with us, and the building manager gets the paperwork along with a plain list of each circuit we touched.

It was 2017 when Spyro opened the doors. Five-plus licensed electricians now take the same careful habits up Miller Street lifts and into 2060 apartments. The suburb asks a lot: tower floors with strict access rules, compact units with little board space, and a few heritage houses that need a gentle touch. We handle data and fit-outs for tenants, keep landlords compliant and give residents straight answers, with one electrician responsible for each job from start to finish.

North Sydney has the second largest concentration of office buildings in NSW, and 27 towers were built there in 1971 and 1972 alone. Tenancies are constantly being reshaped for new tenants, so fit-out wiring is the job we quote most in 2060.

NSW makes a CCEW compulsory, so a signed compliance certificate closes out each North Sydney visit, from a single tenancy to a studio flat. Building managers keep these on file, so every tenancy change is documented. AS/NZS 3000 says a replaced or altered board must provide RCD protection on its final subcircuits, and since 1 May 2023 fresh installations may not use Type AC switches, so our boards here carry Type A devices in homes and offices.
We provide a written fixed price once the site has been inspected. Guessing from a phone call fails here: new power in a modern Berry Street tower might mean a short ceiling run, while the same work in a subdivided Victorian house near Walker Street can mean tracing decades of additions. After we look, you get one committed number.
Office floor being reshaped, apartment board tripping, or a rental needing alarm compliance? Ring 02 8999 3691. We send a licensed tradesman to look over your North Sydney site, talk through choices and email one firm figure, with labour covered for life.
North Sydney office managers, apartment owners, renters and landlords put these questions to us regularly. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often the same day. We run Monday to Friday between 7am and 5:30pm, plus Saturday mornings from 7am to 2pm, and do not work Sundays. North Sydney sits on routes we travel constantly, so a call to 02 8999 3691 early in the day usually secures a visit before close. Sparking, burning smells or a dead floor jump to the front.
After an inspection. Office towers bring access rules, lift bookings and ceiling voids, while older houses bring years of add-on wiring. Our electrician looks at the site, explains the scope and sends a fixed written quote. That figure holds unless you ask for extra work.
Yes. Most North Sydney towers require inductions, insurance certificates, method statements and booked access. We supply the paperwork, attend inductions, book lifts and loading docks, and schedule shutdowns outside business hours. That keeps building managers happy and neighbouring tenants unaffected by our work.
Normally the lot owner covers wiring from their unit board onward, while the main board, risers, car park and corridor lighting are common property. Bylaws can change that split. We locate the fault and email a short report to you and the strata manager and the correct party can book the fix.
Yes. Houses at 11 to 37 and 20 to 30 Walker Street are heritage listed, alongside places such as Don Bank and Kailoa. Internal rewiring is usually acceptable, but we route cable through roof and floor spaces, keep new boxes off the facade and protect original plaster. Check approvals with North Sydney Council before visible changes.
Usually. Many older North Sydney blocks were built for far fewer appliances than people use now. We check board capacity, then add extra power points on new or existing circuits, running cable through cupboards and ceilings where possible. In strata buildings we confirm any common property work with the committee first.
Your rental needs a functioning alarm on each level. A tenant’s fault report starts a two business day repair clock, and any alarm a decade past its manufacture date has to come out. Hard-wired alarms must be installed by a licensed electrician. With 60.7 per cent of dwellings leased, we do this work for agents every week.
It is possible with owners corporation approval and enough capacity at the building’s main board. Only 0.9 vehicles per dwelling are recorded here, so many buildings have limited parking. We assess supply, suggest load management where needed, and install the charger on a dedicated circuit to your bay once approved.
Yes. Commercial tenancies need compliant exit signs and emergency luminaires that are tested regularly. We install, replace and test these fittings, keep log book records for the building manager and upgrade older fittings to LED models with longer battery life.
Every electrician on staff holds a NSW licence and carries insurance. Spyro has led the business since 2017, and our lifetime labour guarantee means any workmanship issue with our installation is fixed at no charge, whether it is an office floor or a studio apartment.
