Keeping horses off Neich Road, running a hobby farm beside Cattai Creek, or living near Maraylya Park and the public school on Boundary Road? Our limited-time Maraylya deals stretch to Janpieter Road and Pebbly Hill Road as well. Mention the offer when you phone to book and we will apply it.

Maraylya is small-acreage country. The 2021 Census recorded 96.6 per cent separate houses against 65.6 per cent across NSW, while 64.7 per cent of local homes offer at least four bedrooms. Plenty of blocks carry a main residence plus stables, a machinery shed and sometimes a second dwelling, so supply often travels a long way before it reaches the last outlet. We run new circuits and rewires out to barns and tack rooms, replace tired sub-boards in sheds, and fit weatherproof outlets beside yards and float bays.

Commercial work here revolves around the land rather than shopfronts. Equestrian venues such as the Horseworld Sportsworld stadium, boarding stables, and the trades who live locally (the Census lists plumbing and house construction well above the state share) need workshop power and arena lighting. We handle commercial and farm electrical jobs around feeding and training times.

Our same-day service covers Maraylya from the Cattai Ridge Road end down to the Gables boundary. Urgent calls we see on acreage: a pressure pump dead after a storm, an outbuilding feed cut by a burnt joint, and a safety switch that refuses to hold once water has found its way into stable lights.
Families on four-bedroom acreage make up most of our Maraylya bookings, and plenty of them keep horses. Households here average 3.3 people and 3.2 vehicles, so garages, workshops and float sheds usually matter as much as the kitchen. As your Maraylya electrician we add lighting to arenas and round yards, move old switchboards out of damp sheds, wire granny flats for extended family and hang ceiling fans in upstairs bedrooms.
The suburb straddles two councils, The Hills Shire and Hawkesbury, and its western paddocks drain toward Longneck Lagoon, so low ground near Scheyville National Park can sit wet for days after heavy rain. That changes where we mount outdoor boards and how we lay conduit. Storm damage, rodent-chewed cable in hay lofts and urgent electrical repairs at the end of long private driveways are routine for our crew across the Hills District.

Maraylya is mostly hobby farms and horse properties. We fit sealed lighting in stalls, protect cable from rodents and hooves, and add outlets for clippers, kettles and hot water in tack rooms.
Sheds, workshops and second dwellings often sit well back from the house. We calculate voltage drop, trench in proper conduit and install a sub-board so each building has its own isolation point.
Western Maraylya takes runoff from Scheyville National Park after heavy rain. We mount boards and outdoor fittings above likely water levels and test insulation on circuits that have been wet.
Nearly two thirds of dwellings have four or more bedrooms. Bigger floor plans mean more lighting circuits, more air conditioning load and older boards that run out of room for new safety switches.

Plenty of Maraylya blocks we see have one board feeding a house, stables and a shed spread far apart, so our licensed team sizes every cable for that distance.

A written fixed quote follows our inspection. Lighting a Neich Road arena and adding a power point in a Boundary Road kitchen are priced separately, since trenching and cable length differ greatly.

If a storm knocks out your pump or a stable circuit near Cattai Creek, we pull that job forward on our schedule so animals and household water are sorted quickly.

Our 250+ customers include Maraylya horse owners, hobby farmers and young families, many of whom heard about us from someone over the boundary fence.

Every circuit we install on a Maraylya property carries lifetime labour cover, including long underground feeds to sheds and the lighting we fix along arena rails and stable walkways.

Give us your road name and tell us about gates, dogs or horses loose in paddocks. We then offer a time that fits around feeding, school pick-up on Boundary Road and your work.

Once we have walked the property and traced each feed, you receive a plain-English written quote with one fixed figure, covering trenching, conduit and fittings.

Maraylya addresses can be hard to spot off Pebbly Hill Road or Janpieter Road, so we confirm directions the day before and arrive inside the agreed window, ringing ahead if delayed.

Trenches are backfilled, offcuts and packaging leave in our van, gates are shut behind us, and you receive the compliance certificate with a note of every circuit we touched.

From one man and a van in 2017, Spyro has built a crew of five-plus licensed electricians. Maraylya gives us some of our most varied days: a switchboard swap in a family home in the morning, then lighting for a riding arena or a new feed to a machinery shed by the afternoon. The suburb sits out on the north-western rim of Sydney, yet the same small team handles each job here from first visit to final test.

With 96.6 per cent of Maraylya dwellings being separate houses, one board often protects a home, sheds and animal areas at once. Where outdoor and wet-area circuits have little or no RCD cover, we recommend modern safety switches as the first priority.

Each Maraylya owner we work for is handed a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work, as NSW law demands. On a rural block that paperwork matters: insurers and future buyers want proof that the shed feed, the granny flat and the arena lights were installed by a licensed contractor. We also label each sub-board so anyone standing in a dark stable knows which switch isolates what.
We never guess a number over the phone. Adding a double outlet in a Boundary Road family kitchen is a short job, whereas feeding power to a stable block at the back of a paddock means trenching, conduit and a new sub-board. After one site visit you get a single written figure, and it stays fixed unless you add work.
Horses in the stable, kids home from Maraylya Public School and a board that keeps tripping? Book on 02 8999 3691 and a licensed electrician will inspect the lot, explain the fault plainly and put one fixed price on paper, backed by lifetime labour cover.
Maraylya horse owners, hobby farmers and families on acreage ask us these questions most often. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often, yes. Vans are out from 7am until 5:30pm on weekdays and from 7am until 2pm Saturdays; Sundays we rest. Maraylya is a longer drive than suburbs near Castle Hill, so a morning call to 02 8999 3691 improves the odds of a same-day visit. Mention up front if animals are without water or you can smell burning, and that job moves ahead of routine bookings.
We see the property first. Distance is the big variable in Maraylya: a light fitting in the house is quick, but a feed to a shed on the far side of a paddock needs trenching and heavier cable. After the visit we send a written fixed price listing materials and labour, and the figure only changes if you ask for extra work.
Long cable runs, undersized cable and damaged underground joints are the usual culprits on Maraylya properties. Supply that looks fine at the house can sag badly by the time it reaches a workshop, so welders, compressors and hot water units struggle. We measure voltage at the far end, check the cable size against the load, and replace or upgrade the run if it cannot carry what you use.
Western Maraylya catches runoff from Scheyville National Park that heads toward Longneck Lagoon, so low paddocks and sheds can sit in water. Keep away from any outlet or board that has been wet and do not reset a tripping safety switch over and over. We isolate affected circuits, test insulation once things dry, and can relocate boards and outlets higher to reduce future damage.
Yes. Horse properties are common across Maraylya, and many owners want to ride after work in winter. We install LED floodlights on poles or shed walls, run the supply in protected conduit, and put switching somewhere you can reach without walking through the arena. We also fit LED lighting inside stables and tack rooms so you can see clearly at feeding time.
Sometimes. Maraylya households average 3.3 people, and extra living space for parents or older children is a common project. We work out the combined load, check whether the main board has capacity, and usually install a separate sub-board in the new building with its own safety switches, smoke alarms and isolating switch.
Yes. With 3.2 vehicles per Maraylya dwelling on Census figures, garages and carports are often large and set away from the house. We check spare capacity, run a dedicated circuit to where you park, and fit a wall charger with the right RCD protection. If the main board is full, we explain the upgrade needed before quoting.
NSW requires a working alarm on every storey, but in a large Maraylya home one alarm per level is rarely enough to wake everyone. With 64.7 per cent of houses holding four or more bedrooms, we often recommend interconnected hard-wired smoke alarms near each sleeping area, so a fire at one end sounds everywhere. Landlords must also replace alarms within ten years of manufacture.
Not for the electrical work itself. Maraylya sits across The Hills Shire and the City of Hawkesbury, and a small southern section became the suburb of Gables in 2020, so addresses can be confusing. Every job we do meets the same wiring rules and receives a compliance certificate. Council only matters if the work is part of a build that needs approval, such as a new dwelling.
Regularly. The Census shows plumbing and house construction employ well above the state share of Maraylya workers, so many properties include a workshop or materials yard. We add heavier circuits for machinery, install bright shed lighting and fit outlets at each bench, aiming to finish in one visit where the job allows.
