Building on a numbered Avenue, running a shed off Fifteenth Avenue or living near Craik Park? Our Austral deals also stretch to the Edmondson Avenue shops, W V Scott Memorial Park and homes along Bringelly Road. Bring up the deal when you phone and it comes off your job.

Austral is a suburb of big, young households. The 2021 Census recorded 88.3 per cent separate houses, 68.7 per cent of dwellings with four or more bedrooms and a median age of 31, while 50.7 per cent of homes carry a mortgage. Blocks range from fresh estate lots to older acreage between Kemps Creek and Bonds Creek. We handle board upgrades for growing loads, extra circuits in new builds, pump and shed supply on larger lots, and ceiling fans for hot western summers.

Commerce here is small: a handful of shops near Fifteenth and Edmondson Avenues, a post office, retirement villages such as Tobruk Village and Scalabrini Village, and the John Edmondson VC Gardens care home. For shops, clubrooms, workshops and farm buildings we provide commercial electrical maintenance, lighting and new circuits.

Same-day service covers every grid street from the lots beside Bringelly Road up through the higher-numbered Avenues. Typical urgent calls in Austral: a bore or dam pump that stops after a storm, a new-build board tripping as soon as the ducted air starts, or a shed feed chewed through by rodents.
Our Austral clients are mostly young families settling into large new homes, plus long-standing acreage owners with sheds, pumps and workshops spread across their land. With 68.7 per cent of homes offering four or more bedrooms, people often ask a local Austral electrician to add air-conditioning circuits, outdoor power for entertaining areas and LED downlights the builder skipped. Acreage owners want trenched supply to distant sheds and fresh boards for workshops.
The street grid makes planning easy: Avenues run in number order from Bringelly Road northward, so we can group visits and cut drive time. Near Leppington station, on older holdings beside Kemps Creek, or around Craik Park, the work stays the same. When a pump fails or a board starts smoking, book an urgent callout and one of our crews heads out across South-West Sydney without delay.

Older Austral holdings between Kemps Creek and the Sydney Water channel rely on long underground runs to sheds, workshops and pumps. We size cable for the distance and fit weatherproof boards that cope with dust.
Close to seven in ten Austral homes have four or more bedrooms. Bigger floor plans mean heavier loads, so we add dedicated circuits for ducted air, ovens and home offices without overloading the board.
Bonds Creek meets Kemps Creek near Fifteenth Avenue. After storms we check outdoor outlets, garden lighting and buried cables near low ground, and add RCD protection where older circuits lack it.
Craik Park, the W V Scott Memorial Park pavilion and local retirement villages need lighting, exit signs and power kept compliant. We schedule inspections and repairs around games and residents' routines.

Our licensed crew understands both halves of Austral: tidy estate homes with modern boards, and older acreage properties where long cable runs feed sheds, pumps and workshops.

Every Austral quote comes after we have seen the block. A shed run across two hectares and a downlight job in a new four-bedroom home are priced separately, in writing.

Pumps, livestock water and fridges full of food cannot wait on acreage near Kemps Creek, so faults that cut essential supply get pushed to the front of our run sheet.

Families across Austral, Leppington and West Hoxton make up part of our 250+ customers, and many heard about us from someone at the school gate or the local sports club.

Every circuit, shed feed and charger we install on an Austral property carries our labour guarantee for life, so later faults in our work never become your cost.

Give us your Avenue number and note any gate, dog or long driveway. We then pick a slot that fits school pickups, shift work or your weekend on the block.

Once we have walked the property and opened the board, you receive a written fixed figure, with each shed run, circuit or fitting listed plainly before anything begins.

Austral’s numbered grid lets us plan runs in order, so our electrician arrives inside the promised window. If Bringelly Road traffic slows us, we phone before the time passes.

Trenches are backfilled, offcuts and packaging leave in the van, and you get your compliance paperwork plus a short list of what now runs on each circuit.

Spyro started the business in 2017, and the team has since grown to five-plus licensed electricians working across the south-west growth corridor. Austral keeps us busy with two very different kinds of property: brand-new family homes wanting more power, and established acreage where outbuildings rely on long cable runs. We like the variety. One morning is spent adding EV and air-con circuits on a new estate street; the next is spent replacing an old shed board near Bonds Creek.

Austral averages two motor vehicles per dwelling and 3.8 bedrooms per home, and half of all households are paying off a mortgage on a relatively new house. That combination of large garages, long commutes along Bringelly Road and modern switchboards makes home EV charging a natural next step here.

A Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work is issued for each job we finish in Austral, as NSW law demands. On new estate homes that usually confirms added circuits meet the standard; on older acreage it often means sheds and pump feeds get proper earthing and protection. If we alter or replace a board, AS/NZS 3000 obliges RCD cover for every final subcircuit, and since 1 May 2023 Type AC devices cannot be used in new work.
We always see the work before naming a figure, then commit to that fixed price in writing. Austral shows why: adding three power points in a recent four-bedroom home on a flat estate lot is quick, while trenching a supply out to a workshop at the back of a hectare block near Kemps Creek takes far longer. Two different jobs, two honest quotes.
New home short on circuits, an EV arriving next month, or a shed on your Austral acreage that keeps losing power? Ring 02 8999 3691 and a licensed electrician will come out, look properly and give you a written fixed figure, with the labour guaranteed for life.
New homeowners, acreage landholders and landlords around Austral ask us these questions most. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often, yes. We run weekdays from 7am until 5:30pm and Saturdays from 7am until 2pm, and Austral sits on routes we cover most days via Bringelly Road. Phone 02 8999 3691 in the morning for the best chance of a visit that afternoon. A burning smell, a dead pump supplying stock water, or a board that trips straight back off will be treated as urgent.
We look at it in person first. In Austral the gap between jobs that sound alike can be wide, because a new estate home with open wall cavities and a short run from the board is much quicker than an older acreage house with a distant shed. After inspecting, we write down one fixed figure, and it changes only if you ask for extra work.
Yes. Many Austral acreage properties have workshops, stables or machinery sheds well away from the house. We trench an underground submain sized for the distance and load, fit a small board in the shed with its own RCD protection, and add lighting and outlets suited to dusty or damp conditions. We do not work on overhead network lines or poles.
Certainly. Builders often supply the minimum, and families in four-bedroom Austral homes soon find the kitchen, study and garage short of outlets. We add power points, USB outlets, outdoor weatherproof sockets and extra lighting, running cable through the roof space where we can so walls are disturbed as little as possible.
Often it is, but it depends on what is already connected. Newer Austral homes usually have modern boards with spare space, while older houses on acreage may have smaller boards with limited capacity. We check existing load, the supply and available room, then tell you plainly whether a charger fits as is or needs a board upgrade first.
Stay away from outdoor fittings, pumps and garden lights that sat in water until someone has tested them. Blocks near Bonds Creek and Kemps Creek can hold water on low ground after heavy rain. If a safety switch keeps tripping, leave it off and call us. We test insulation, dry out or replace damaged gear and confirm circuits are safe to use again.
About 27.5 per cent of Austral homes are rented, so landlords here face the NSW rules: a working alarm on every storey, repairs within two business days of being told, and replacement within ten years of the date of manufacture. Hard-wired alarms must be fitted by a licensed electrician. We install and replace them between tenancies and leave dated records.
Yes, for work inside your own unit, subject to village rules. Tobruk Village and Scalabrini Village are both in Austral, and management usually needs to approve anything that touches shared wiring or common areas. We are happy to speak with the village office first, confirm what is private and what is shared, then quote the resident’s part.
Every member of our team holds a current NSW electrical licence and is insured. We have operated since 2017 under founder Spyro and now have five-plus electricians. Labour on anything we install in your Austral home, shed or shop is guaranteed for life, and each job comes with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work.
