Clemton Park is a small, almost wholly residential pocket between Cup and Saucer Creek, Bexley Road, William Street and Kingsgrove Road. The name dates from 1925, when locals lobbied for a tram extension, and it only became a separate suburb in 2000. The 2021 Census counted 76.9 per cent separate houses, 18.0 per cent semi-detached or townhouse dwellings and 3.8 per cent flats, with three-bedroom homes the most common. We handle renovation wiring, new builds and upgrades for ageing household circuits.

There is little commercial land inside the suburb itself. The shops named after Clemton Park mostly sit over the line in Campsie and Earlwood, and the Campsie South Bowling and Recreation Club sits beside Yatama Park. We look after small businesses, clubs and home offices with lighting, power and commercial electrical maintenance.

Same-day service covers every Clemton Park street, from the creek flats to the William Street edge. Urgent calls we often see: a family house losing power during a storm, an RCD that refuses to reset, or scorched wiring behind an old switch plate.
Most Clemton Park clients are long-term owners, and the census backs that up, with 36.6 per cent owning outright and 34.1 per cent paying off a loan. Some older homes are being extended or replaced with new double-storey houses, so builders and owners call us for rough-in, fit-off and temporary power. Households that stay put ask for extra circuits, better lighting and new switchboards. As the local electrician in Clemton Park, we also help residents in the newer Alfred Street apartment block.
Streets falling toward Cup and Saucer Creek mean heavy rain tests outdoor power and garden lighting, and moisture can get into poorly sealed fittings. We fix waterlogged outlets, replace failed external lights and answer an electrical emergency promptly, with the same team working through Earlwood, Kingsgrove and the rest of St George and Canterbury-Bankstown.

Many Clemton Park houses predate the suburb becoming official in 2000. Original boards, few circuits and ageing cable are common, and we upgrade them in stages to suit your budget.
Older houses are giving way to new ones on some blocks, such as a double-storey dwelling approved on Turton Avenue in 2025. We wire from temporary power through rough-in and final fit-off.
Homes near Cup and Saucer Creek cop plenty of water in storms. Outdoor sockets, pumps and garden lights need sealed fittings and proper protection to stop moisture tripping circuits.
Eighteen per cent of homes are semi-detached or townhouse types, plus a 32-lot strata building on Alfred Street. We work with strata managers on shared meter panels and common areas.

Our licensed crew regularly works in both older Clemton Park cottages and brand-new double-storey homes, so we understand the wiring you are likely to find in either.

We inspect each job and then send a written fixed price, whether it is a single light on Reid Avenue or full wiring for a Turton Avenue rebuild.

When a Clemton Park home loses power or a circuit starts smelling hot, we move the job forward and aim to have someone there the same day.

Families and builders around Yatama Park and the creek have added to our 250+ customer reviews, often noting punctual arrivals and tidy workmanship.

Every job in Clemton Park carries our lifetime labour guarantee, from a single ceiling fan to wiring a whole new two-storey home near Cup and Saucer Creek.

Call with your street and the job, whether it is a renovation on Biara Avenue or a unit repair on Alfred Street, and choose a convenient time.

We inspect the board and wiring, discuss the options with you, then provide a written fixed quote before starting any work at your home.

Our van arrives in the agreed window, parks carefully on the quieter residential streets and keeps driveways clear for your neighbours.

We clear away offcuts and packaging, patch small access holes, label the board and walk you through the finished work before leaving.

Spyro set up our business in 2017, and today five-plus licensed electricians cover the Canterbury and St George districts. Clemton Park is a quiet corner of that area, but it keeps us busy with families extending older homes, builders putting up new double-storey houses and long-term owners upgrading tired wiring. The same electricians handle local jobs, so they know the streets and the typical homes here.

Clemton Park is almost entirely residential, and 76.9 per cent of its homes are separate houses on suburban blocks. Some are being extended or replaced, such as the new double-storey dwelling approved on Turton Avenue in 2025, so renovation and new-build wiring is a large part of our work here.

NSW regulations require a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work for our jobs, and every Clemton Park client receives one. When we replace or alter a switchboard in an older cottage, AS/NZS 3000 requires residual current protection on the final subcircuits. We never install Type AC safety switches, which have been banned from new work since 1 May 2023, and we check existing wiring before connecting new circuits.
Our quotes are fixed and written, and we only give them after inspecting the job. In Clemton Park the difference between jobs can be significant: fitting lights in a newly built double-storey house with clear ceiling access is fairly quick, while adding circuits to an older cottage with limited roof space and original wiring takes much more time. Seeing it first keeps pricing accurate.
Rebuilding on Turton Avenue, extending an older cottage near Yatama Park, or fed up with an outdated fuse board? Phone 02 8999 3691 and a licensed electrician will visit, give you a firm written price, and back the labour with our lifetime guarantee.
Clemton Park home owners, renovators, builders and apartment residents ask us these questions most often. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
In most cases, yes. We work Monday to Friday 7am to 5:30pm and Saturdays 7am to 2pm, closed Sundays. Clemton Park lies between our regular routes through Campsie, Earlwood and Kingsgrove, so an early call to 02 8999 3691 often gets a same-day visit. Let us know straight away if you smell burning or a circuit will not reset.
We quote after we see the job, and the price is fixed in writing. It will only change if you ask for extra work. In Clemton Park, the effort involved varies a lot between a modern double-storey home and an older cottage with original wiring, so an inspection is the only reliable way to price fairly.
Yes. Several Clemton Park blocks now carry new double-storey houses where older homes once stood. We work with your builder from the plans stage, set up temporary power, carry out rough-in before plasterboard, and complete fit-off and testing at the end. You receive a certificate and a clearly labelled switchboard.
Frequent tripping usually means an overloaded circuit, a faulty appliance or deteriorating wiring. Older homes here often have only a few circuits feeding kitchens, bathrooms and air conditioners. We test each circuit to find the cause, then suggest repairs, extra circuits or a switchboard upgrade if the old board cannot cope.
It can. Yards closer to the creek often stay wet after storms, and water can enter outdoor sockets, garden lights and pump circuits that are not properly sealed. We replace damaged fittings with weatherproof types, reroute cables away from wet areas and make sure outdoor circuits have RCD protection.
Yes. The 32-lot apartment building on Alfred Street was registered as a strata scheme in 2023. For work inside your unit we deal with you directly, and for shared areas or meter panels we coordinate with the strata manager. We keep clear records so committees know exactly what was done.
Yes. Most houses here have a garage or driveway suited to a wall-mounted charger. We check your switchboard and supply capacity, run a dedicated circuit and install the charger with appropriate protection. For new builds, planning the charger into the wiring from the start is simpler and cheaper.
We do. We test existing alarms, replace units more than ten years old and install hard-wired interconnected smoke alarms. For landlords, we provide dated records, and NSW rules require a working alarm on each storey of a rental home, with repairs made within two business days of notice.
Certainly. Renovations are a good time to add power points where you need them, move switches and upgrade lighting. We coordinate with your builder or kitchen installer to run cables before walls are closed, which avoids later damage to new finishes.
