Living near Beaumont Park, running a unit in the Kingsgrove Road strip or leasing a warehouse north of the railway? Our Kingsgrove specials also reach Stoney Creek Road, Dowsett Park and the Moorefields Road side. Quote the deal when booking and we apply it.

Kingsgrove is still house country. The 2021 Census recorded 82.0 per cent separate houses against 65.6 per cent across NSW, only 8.9 per cent flats, and 44.9 per cent of homes with three bedrooms. Kingsgrove station opened in 1931 and suburban building followed, so many brick homes around William Street and Morris Avenue carry decades of piecemeal electrical changes. With 40.9 per cent owned outright, owners call us for renovation wiring, board replacements and extra circuits when extensions go on the back.

Kingsgrove has a genuine industrial pocket on the northern side of the railway, west of Kingsgrove Road, plus two bus depots, a Bunnings Warehouse, a Woolworths and shops lining Kingsgrove Road and Stoney Creek Road. We handle commercial and light industrial electrical work: machinery circuits, three-phase outlets, warehouse lighting and shopfront repairs.

Our same-day service runs across Kingsgrove, from the M5 ramps to the Kingsway shops on Stoney Creek Road. Urgent faults we see here: half a house blacked out after a storm, a workshop compressor tripping the main breaker, a burnt power point in an older kitchen, or garden lights shorting after heavy rain.
Most of our Kingsgrove work comes from long-time owners in solid brick houses, and a good share of them have lived in the same street for decades. They want safety switches added, old fuse boards replaced, ceiling fans put in before summer and power run to rear granny flats or garages. As your Kingsgrove electrician we also look after the factories and workshops north of the railway line and the shops along Kingsgrove Road.
The suburb straddles three councils, Canterbury-Bankstown, Bayside and Georges River, and the building stock changes block by block. Near Kingsgrove Avenue Reserve it is mostly single-storey homes; around the station there are more units and shopfronts. An emergency electrical repair for a factory, a lighting upgrade in a family home, or a full rewire before a renovation are all regular jobs for us across St George and Canterbury-Bankstown.

Separate houses make up 82.0 per cent of Kingsgrove dwellings. Many have had wiring added over several decades, so we test existing circuits, replace worn cable and add power where modern appliances need it.
Commercial and industrial buildings sit north of the rail line, west of Kingsgrove Road. We install three-phase outlets, machine circuits and high-bay lighting, and fault-find tripping supply.
The main shopping strip runs south of the station on Kingsgrove Road. We handle lighting, signage, refrigeration circuits and repairs for cafes, salons and professional offices along the strip.
Older Kingsgrove homes often still have ceramic fuses with little or no residual current protection. We replace them with modern boards, fitting safety switches of Type A or better.

Our licensed team has opened up a lot of mid-century Kingsgrove brick homes and knows where decades of add-on wiring tends to hide in roof spaces and subfloors.

We look at the job, then commit to one written figure. A warehouse near the railway and a three-bedroom house off Moorefields Road are quoted separately, never guessed.

When a Kingsgrove workshop loses power mid-shift or a family home trips after a storm, we move you up the list and aim for a visit that same day.

Our 250+ customers include Kingsgrove homeowners, landlords and small manufacturers, many referred by a neighbour on the same street or a business across the industrial estate.

Labour on every circuit we run in a Kingsgrove house, unit or factory is guaranteed for life, including rewiring hidden in walls during a kitchen or bathroom renovation.

Tell us your street and whether we need gate codes, driveway access or a loading bay. We then choose a time that works around school runs, shifts or trading hours.

We check the board and cable routes first, explain what needs doing in plain language, then send you a written fixed figure before any work begins.

Kingsgrove sits right off the M5, so we can usually reach you quickly. If traffic on Kingsgrove Road or Stoney Creek Road holds us up, we call ahead.

We protect floors, remove all offcuts and packaging, and leave your compliance certificate with a short note explaining what was changed in your house or workshop.

Back in 2017 Spyro set out to run an electrical outfit that arrives when promised, prices honestly and cleans up properly. We have since grown to a crew of five-plus licensed electricians, and Kingsgrove has become one of our regular suburbs. Here we split our time between established family homes and the workshops north of the railway. The same electrician usually handles your job from first visit to final sign-off, so nothing gets lost along the way.

With 82.0 per cent of Kingsgrove dwellings being separate houses and 40.9 per cent owned outright, many homes have had the same owners and the same switchboard for decades. Adding or upgrading safety switches is one of the most common requests we get here.

Every job we finish in Kingsgrove comes with a CCEW, the compliance certificate NSW requires for electrical work. In brick houses that have been added to over the years, we note any old wiring we uncover and tell you plainly whether it can stay. Any change to a switchboard triggers the AS/NZS 3000 rule that final subcircuits need RCD protection, and we never fit Type AC units in fresh work, in line with the rule in force from 1 May 2023.
We quote after seeing the job, never from a phone description. Running a new circuit in a single-storey Kingsgrove home with good roof access is usually quick, while doing the same in a factory unit near the railway can mean long conduit runs and high ceilings. Once we have looked, you receive a written fixed quote that stays put unless the scope changes.
Old fuse board in a house near Beaumont Park, a workshop near the station that keeps tripping, or a renovation that needs rewiring first? Call 02 8999 3691. A licensed tradesman comes out, sizes up the work and emails a fixed figure; the labour carries a lifetime guarantee.
Kingsgrove homeowners, landlords and business owners north of the railway ask us these questions most often. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Usually. We work 7am to 5:30pm on weekdays and 7am to 2pm on Saturdays, and Kingsgrove is close to the M5 and routes we use daily. Calling early on 02 8999 3691 gives the best chance of a same-day visit. If you can smell burning, see scorch marks or the main switch will not stay on, tell us and we will treat it as a priority.
We inspect first and then give you a written fixed quote. In Kingsgrove, access makes a big difference: a single-storey brick home with an open roof space is quick to work in, while a two-storey house or a factory with high ceilings takes longer. The quote is fixed unless you ask us to add extra work.
In most cases, yes. Older ceramic fuse boards often lack residual current protection and may have oversized fuse wire fitted over the years. A lot of Kingsgrove homes have had the same owners for decades, with wiring added in stages. We test what is there, explain which circuits are sound and quote a switchboard upgrade that meets current standards.
Kingsgrove sits across three councils: City of Canterbury-Bankstown, Bayside and Georges River. Most electrical work inside a home does not need council approval, but major renovations, granny flats and changes to heritage items might. Check with your council first. Our electrical work is certified through the NSW compliance certificate system regardless of which council area you are in.
We can install three-phase outlets and circuits within a building that already has three-phase supply, including machine connections, compressors and welding outlets. We do not do new network connections or work on the supply from the street. For factories and workshops north of the railway, we also handle lighting upgrades, fault finding and emergency exit lights.
Yes. With so many Kingsgrove homes on standard suburban blocks, rear granny flats and extensions are common. We check whether your existing board and supply can handle the extra load, install a sub-board if needed, and run the new circuits for lighting, power, cooking and air conditioning. We coordinate with your builder so the rough-in happens at the right stage.
We do. Many single-storey homes here have easy roof access, which makes ceiling fan installation straightforward. We check the ceiling structure, fit a proper mounting, run a dedicated switch or remote-control circuit and make sure the fan is balanced. Fans are a cheap way to cut cooling costs in summer.
Most likely. The 2021 Census averaged 1.7 vehicles per Kingsgrove dwelling, and plenty of houses here have a driveway or lock-up garage, which makes home charging practical. We measure headroom on your board, lay a separate cable out to the carport or garage and fix the charger to the wall. An elderly fuse board may need replacing first, and we will tell you if so.
Usually water has got into an outdoor fitting, a garden light or an old junction box, and the safety switch is doing its job by cutting the power. Resetting it again and again will not fix the fault. We test each outdoor circuit, find the wet or damaged part and replace it with weatherproof fittings rated for outdoor use.
We cover all of Kingsgrove 2208, including Kingsgrove Road, Stoney Creek Road, Moorefields Road, William Street, Morris Avenue, the Kingsway shops, the station precinct, Beaumont Park, Kingsgrove Avenue Reserve, Smith Reserve, Dowsett Park and Butler Reserve. We also work regularly in Beverly Hills, Bexley North, Clemton Park, Roselands, Belmore, Earlwood, Hurstville, Bexley and Bardwell Park.
