Landcom sold the first lots here in 2007, so every house in The Ponds is a modern build. Census 2021 found 83.7 per cent detached houses, 15.7 per cent townhouses or semis and no apartment blocks at all. Four or more bedrooms feature in 82.6 per cent of homes, and 3.5 people share the average one. Along Riverbank Drive and Ridgeline Drive we add new outlets, upgrade LED downlights, wire outdoor rooms and rebalance boards stretched by ducted cooling and home offices.

Local commerce centres on The Ponds Shopping Centre, opened in 2015 with Woolworths, cafes and around twenty speciality shops, plus the waterfront community centre and schools. We handle lighting repairs, tenancy changes, commercial electrical maintenance and extra circuits for food and retail operators.

Same-day service covers all of The Ponds, from Schofields Road down to Stanhope Parkway. Frequent urgent faults here: an inverter or battery isolator tripping the board, a pool pump circuit shorting after a downpour, and upstairs lights dying in a crowded four-bedder.
Big households define The Ponds. Couples with children make up 72.7 per cent of families, and 62.3 per cent of homes carry a mortgage, so owners want upgrades that stretch the budget: LED retrofits, smarter switching, garage circuits for a second fridge and better outdoor lighting. Many houses were built under Landcom rules that asked for solar panels and recycled water, which means our electrician in The Ponds work often involves boards already linked to inverters.
The estate was planned around the Second Ponds Creek corridor, with wetlands, ponds and seventeen public artworks threaded through the parks. Homes back onto that open space in many streets, so outdoor circuits, garden lights and weatherproof outlets see plenty of rain. We handle those repairs, plus the odd emergency repair when a storm trips a whole house, across this estate and the rest of the Hills District.

An average of four bedrooms per dwelling means long cable runs and loaded boards. We add circuits for studies and rumpus rooms, fit fans upstairs and separate heavy appliances onto their own protection.
Landcom's energy rules led many owners here to install solar panels. We do not sell panels, but we upgrade and rearrange switchboards for existing systems and add battery-ready space when needed.
Townhouses and semis make up 15.7 per cent of dwellings, often facing parks. We sort faults within each lot, check common lighting, and liaise with community associations or strata managers about access.
About 40 hectares along Second Ponds Creek form the estate's green spine. Homes backing onto it rely on outdoor circuits, so we test weatherproof outlets and garden lighting after heavy rain.

Homes shaped by Landcom’s design rules are everyday ground for our licensed electricians, who understand how rooftop solar, recycled water pumps and ducted systems share one switchboard.

You see one written figure before any work begins. Adding lighting to a townhouse beside Lakes Edge Park is priced differently to rewiring a two-storey Ridgeline Drive kitchen.

If a storm knocks out a circuit near the Second Ponds Creek parklands, we rework the run sheet so a licensed electrician reaches your home promptly.

Families in The Ponds make up a solid share of our 250+ customers, many referred by parents they met at John Palmer or Riverbank public schools.

Our workmanship on every circuit we fit in The Ponds is guaranteed for life, including outdoor lighting wired along garden beds facing the creek reserve.

Book around school drop-offs at Riverbank Public School or The Ponds High School. Tell us about side access, pets and where the van can park without blocking the footpath.

We read the switchboard, solar inverter and roof space first, explain the options clearly and email a fixed figure you approve before any drilling begins.

Our electrician arrives in the agreed window. If traffic on Schofields Road or The Ponds Boulevard holds the van up, you hear from us before the window closes.

Every offcut and box goes back in the van and floors get a wipe. You then receive the compliance paperwork and a short list naming each circuit we altered.

Our company began with Spyro in 2017 and now counts five-plus licensed electricians on the tools. The Ponds suits the way we work, because the homes are recent, well planned and full of families who value clear answers. We sort solar-connected boards, add outdoor power for alfresco areas and install ceiling fans before summer. One crew handles the job from quote to certificate, so you always know who is in your home.

Landcom’s design standards pushed The Ponds toward solar panels and recycled water, and 82.6 per cent of homes have four or more bedrooms. Many boards were sized for the original fit-out, not today’s inverters, batteries, EVs and ducted cooling.

NSW law makes a CCEW, the Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work, compulsory, and every job in The Ponds gets one on completion. Houses here generally started with some RCDs, but boards altered for batteries or new circuits must give every final subcircuit residual current protection under AS/NZS 3000. We fit Type A devices or better, since the AC variety lost approval for fresh work on 1 May 2023.
Before tools come out, we put one fixed price in writing. The Ponds may look uniform, but jobs differ: a light fitting swap in a single-level home near Jonas Bradley Oval is quick, while adding circuits to a two-storey house with solar on Ridgeline Drive means working around the inverter and a hot roof space. We look first, then commit.
Battery on the way, outdoor lights that fade after rain, or a board that cannot cope with a full house on a hot evening? Phone 02 8999 3691. We inspect at your place in The Ponds, write down one fixed figure, and the workmanship is backed for as long as you live there.
Owners of large family homes, townhouse residents and school families in The Ponds regularly ask us these questions. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Usually. Weekday shifts run from 7am until 5:30pm, Saturdays from 7am until 2pm, and The Ponds sits right on our north-west Sydney routes. Call early and we can often fit you in the same day. Signs like scorched outlets, buzzing at the board or a main switch that will not hold should be mentioned first so we treat them as urgent.
We give no phone guesses. Once an electrician has seen your switchboard, solar setup and access, you receive a single fixed price in writing. A job in a single-storey house is often simpler than the same work in a two-storey home with limited roof access, so inspecting first keeps the price realistic. It only moves if you choose to add work.
Yes. We do not install solar panels, but we regularly rework boards for existing systems in The Ponds. That can mean new isolators, extra breaker space for a battery, correct labelling and RCD protection throughout. We coordinate with your solar or battery installer so the board side is ready when their equipment arrives.
Water getting into outdoor fittings or cable joints is the usual cause, especially in yards backing onto the Second Ponds Creek parks where gardens stay damp. We trace the circuit, replace failed fittings with properly rated ones, seal connections and make sure the circuit has RCD protection, so the lights stay on and remain safe.
It depends where the fault is. Wiring inside your own lot from your board is usually your responsibility, while shared lighting, gates and main supply equipment belong to the owners corporation or community association. We find the fault first and give both you and the manager a written note on where it sits.
Yes. With 1.9 vehicles per home on average and most houses having a garage, chargers are a common job in The Ponds. We check your board capacity, especially if solar or a battery is connected, then lay a separate feed through to the garage and fix the unit at a height that suits your car’s charging port, with proper RCD protection.
About 22 per cent of homes here are rented. NSW landlords must keep an alarm working on every level, arrange repair within two business days of a tenant’s report and replace any alarm older than ten years. Hard-wired alarms must be installed by a licensed electrician. We provide smoke alarm testing and dated records for agents.
Yes, where your block and approvals allow it. Many homes in The Ponds have alfresco areas we wire for lights, fans and heater outlets. For a granny flat we run a submain from the main board, install a separate board and fit all internal circuits. Approvals go through your certifier and Blacktown City Council.
We take on commercial jobs around The Ponds, including shops, cafes, medical suites and community facilities. Typical work includes lighting upgrades, extra circuits for kitchen or clinic equipment, emergency lighting checks and repairs. We schedule noisy or disruptive tasks outside trading hours where possible.
