Woodcroft is a planned 1990s estate built on the old State Brickworks land, with houses going up from 1992. At the 2021 Census 78.6 per cent of dwellings were separate houses and 21.3 per cent townhouses or semis, with no flats recorded. Homes are large: 66.2 per cent had four or more bedrooms, averaging 3.3 people each. Thirty-year-old boards, crowded lighting circuits and growing appliance loads keep us busy with board replacements, ceiling fans for upstairs bedrooms and extra outdoor power.

Business here is small and local. The Richmond Road centre holds a supermarket, service station, doctor’s surgery and takeaway outlets, and the Woodcroft Neighbourhood Centre by the lake hosts community groups. We look after shop and centre electrical work: lighting upgrades, cool room and fryer circuits, fault finding and maintenance fitted around trading hours.

Woodcroft households can count on same-day service when they call during business hours. Common urgent jobs on this estate: half the house going dark after a storm, an old board buzzing or smelling hot, an oven circuit failing on a busy weeknight, or a garage outlet tripping every time the freezer starts.
Woodcroft families are our main clients here. The 2021 Census recorded 3.3 people per household, a median age of 38 and 49.4 per cent of homes paying off a mortgage, so most calls come from owners improving the place they plan to stay in: new kitchens, air conditioning for four or five bedrooms, alfresco lighting and chargers for the second car. As a Woodcroft electrician we also help townhouse owners and the shops on Richmond Road.
Before 1992 this land was government industry, first the State Timberworks and then the State Brickworks from 1969 to 1988. Woodcroft Lake now fills the former brick pit on Bricketwood Drive, and many streets carry the names of Australian lakes, like Burrinjuck Drive. Board upgrades, urgent repair visits and home electrical work across the estate are part of our weekly Western Sydney schedule.

Woodcroft houses date from 1992 onward, and many still run their first board. These often protect power circuits only, leaving lighting without RCD cover. We upgrade boards to current standards and label every circuit.
Two thirds of Woodcroft homes have four or more bedrooms. Multiple air conditioners, second fridges and busy kitchens stretch original circuits, so we add dedicated lines and LED downlights that draw far less power.
Townhouses and semis make up 21.3 per cent of local dwellings. We separate lot wiring from common property, repair shared driveway and garden lighting, and liaise with strata managers on access.
The Richmond Road centre combines a supermarket, service station, surgery and food outlets. We maintain lighting, add circuits for new equipment and trace faults quickly so trading is not interrupted.

Our licensed electricians have worked through plenty of 1990s project homes like Woodcroft’s, and know where builders of that era ran cables, fitted boards and left the roof space tight.

We inspect before quoting, then put one fixed figure in writing. A two-storey five-bedroom home near the lake and a compact townhouse off Richmond Road each get a quote to match.

When a Woodcroft home loses power or a board starts smelling hot, we aim to arrive the same day. Quakers Hill Parkway and the M7 make the estate quick to reach.

More than 250 customers have reviewed our work. Woodcroft owners can read those ratings before they book and expect the same standard in their own home.

Our labour on every Woodcroft job is guaranteed for life. If a board, circuit or light we installed ever fails because of our workmanship, we come back and put it right.

Ring us and pick a slot that suits school runs and shift work. Saturday morning visits are available for Woodcroft families who cannot take time off during the week.

The electrician checks the job, talks you through options and sends a single fixed price in writing, so you can decide on your Woodcroft upgrade without guesswork.

We show up in the promised window, park without blocking your driveway or a neighbour’s and let you know ahead if M7 traffic slows us down.

Once testing is done we clear dust from floors and benches, bag up old fittings and packaging, and label the board so everyone in the house can find each circuit.

Spyro started the business in 2017, and since then the team has grown to more than five licensed electricians with over 7,000 completed projects. In Woodcroft that work looks like board upgrades in 1990s homes, lighting and fans for big family houses, EV charger installs for multi-car households, repairs in townhouse complexes and maintenance for the Richmond Road shops. We explain each job plainly, and the person who prices it is the one who does it.

Woodcroft households averaged 2.1 vehicles each at the 2021 Census, and 78.6 per cent of homes are separate houses. With that many cars on detached blocks, home EV charging is a natural next step for families across the estate.

Every Woodcroft job is certified with a CCEW, the Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work required in NSW. Replacing or altering one of the estate’s original boards means AS/NZS 3000 RCD protection on all final subcircuits, which we cover with safety switches rated Type A or better. Type AC devices have been banned from new work since 1 May 2023, so older units come out when the board is upgraded.
We give every Woodcroft customer a fixed price in writing before starting. A single-storey three-bedroom house has open roof space and short cable runs, while a two-storey five-bedroom home near the lake can mean upstairs access, longer routes and a busier board. Because the effort differs so much, we look first and quote once.
Ready to upgrade your board, add lights or install an EV charger in Woodcroft? Call 02 8999 3691 and speak with a licensed electrician who knows the estate, from Bricketwood Drive and the lake to Woodcroft Reserve and the Richmond Road shops. Clear pricing, careful work and a lifetime labour guarantee come standard.
Here are the questions Woodcroft homeowners, townhouse residents and local shop owners ask us most. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
In most cases, yes. We run from 7am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 2pm Saturday, and we do not work Sundays. The earlier you call, the better the chance of a same-day visit. Dangerous faults, such as a hot board or no power at all, are handled before routine installs.
We price every job individually after seeing it, because a single-storey house and a two-storey five-bedroom home need very different effort. Our electrician looks at the work, talks through options and sends one fixed figure in writing. You approve it before anything starts, and it stays the same unless you add work.
Quite possibly. Houses here went up from 1992, and boards of that age often have RCD cover on power circuits but not lighting, plus little spare room. If you are adding air conditioning, an EV charger or a new kitchen, an upgrade usually makes sense. We check the board and tell you honestly whether it can cope.
Wiring inside your lot is normally your responsibility, while shared driveway lights, garden lighting and meter panels on common property fall to the owners corporation. Arrangements vary between schemes, so we confirm the boundary with your strata manager before starting and invoice the right party.
Woodcroft homes averaged 3.3 people at the 2021 Census, and many run several air conditioners, a second fridge and a busy kitchen at once. Original circuits were not sized for that load. We measure the demand, split overloaded circuits and add dedicated lines for big appliances so breakers stop dropping out.
Yes, it is one of our most common requests here. Households averaged 2.1 vehicles at the last Census, so charging at home is a practical fit for many families. We check board capacity, run a dedicated circuit, fit the charger where it suits your parking and provide the compliance certificate when finished.
Yes. Big Woodcroft households tend to spend a lot of time outdoors, and a well-lit yard makes that easier. We install weatherproof outlets, garden and path lighting, and power for outdoor kitchens or heaters, all on protected circuits with fittings rated for rain, sun and garden sprinklers.
They can. Summer storms across western Sydney bring heavy rain that finds its way into outdoor fittings and roof spaces, causing safety switches to trip. If the power drops after a storm, switch off at the main if safe and call us. We find the wet circuit, dry or replace the damaged parts and restore power.
Yes. The Richmond Road centre includes a supermarket, service station, doctor’s surgery and food outlets. We handle lighting upgrades, new circuits for fridges and cooking equipment, fault finding and routine maintenance, and we schedule the work to keep disruption to trading as low as possible.
Each of our electricians holds a current NSW licence and is fully insured. Spyro founded the business in 2017, and after more than 7,000 projects our labour is still backed by a lifetime guarantee. Every job also comes with the compliance certificate that NSW requires.
