Living in Cape Cabarita, on Edgewood Crescent or up Cabarita Road above the old tram route? Our current Cabarita deals stretch to Regatta Way, Bayside Terrace, Kendall Inlet and homes near Prince Edward Park. Bring the deal up when you ring and we will show the saving on your quote.

Cabarita was swamp and heavy industry before housing took over, and the mix is now evenly split. The 2021 Census counted separate houses at 42.4 per cent, flats at 41.0 per cent and townhouses or semis at 15.7 per cent. Homes are roomy, averaging 3.3 bedrooms. Owners in the riverside estates ask for lighting redesigns and ceiling fans, while houses held by the same family for decades often need board replacements and extra circuits for bigger kitchens.

Business activity here is light: the kiosk in Cabarita Park, the recreation facilities inside the waterfront estates such as gyms and restaurants, and residents running practices from home. We maintain lighting and power in shared estate facilities and set up home offices, and travel to nearby centres for shop work.

Our same-day service covers all of Cabarita, from the ferry wharf down Cabarita Road to the Concord border. Typical urgent calls include a riverside unit losing power after a storm, a tripping safety switch on outdoor lighting, or a dead circuit in an older brick house.
Established owners account for most of our work on this peninsula. The 2021 Census showed 54.6 per cent of homes owned outright, well above the 31.5 per cent state figure, and a median age of 50. These are people who plan to stay, so they invest in quality: new kitchens, better lighting and outdoor power for decks that look across the Parramatta River. When they need a Cabarita electrician, they want someone careful inside a well-kept home.
The waterfront estates add strata work. Cape Cabarita and Edgewood blocks have shared car parks, gyms and landscaped grounds, and committees call us to repair common lighting and check shared boards. From a failed garden circuit on Collingwood Avenue to an urgent electrical fault in a Regatta Way apartment, we handle it all across the Inner West.

Cape Cabarita, Edgewood and similar developments replaced old industry along the river. We upgrade unit boards, repair lot wiring and work with building managers on common lighting and shared facilities.
Separate houses make up 42.4 per cent of homes, many owned for decades. We replace ageing switchboards, add circuits for larger kitchens and fit modern safety switches throughout.
About one home in six is a townhouse or semi. We add circuits for garages, courtyards and air conditioning, and sort out shared supply questions between neighbouring owners.
Decks and gardens facing the Parramatta River need weatherproof outlets and lighting. We install outdoor-rated fittings with RCD protection so wet weather does not keep tripping your power.

Years on the tools have taught our licensed team Cabarita’s mix of older brick homes and the newer waterfront estates, and how each was wired when it was built.

We look at the job first, then give you a written price that holds. A board upgrade in an older brick house and new lighting in a Cape Cabarita unit are priced separately.

If a storm off the river cuts power to your Kendall Inlet home or outdoor circuits keep tripping, we rearrange our day so a van can reach you quickly.

Our 250+ customers include Cabarita homeowners and strata committees, many introduced by neighbours in Breakfast Point, Mortlake and Concord.

Labour on every circuit we install in Cabarita is guaranteed for life, from deck lighting on Bayside Terrace to a full rewire in an older brick house.

Share the address and let us know if the building has a concierge, visitor parking or gated access. We then offer a time that suits you or your strata manager.

We open the board, study the task, talk you through the options and follow up with a set price in writing. Nothing starts until you have approved it.

Parking near Cabarita Park fills up on weekends, so we plan ahead and turn up inside the agreed window, phoning ahead if congestion along Cabarita Road holds us up.

We protect floors and lift walls, remove every scrap of waste and leave your compliance certificate with a short summary of the work in your home.

Spyro launched the company in 2017. These days five-plus licensed electricians carry the name, and Canada Bay streets appear on our job sheet weekly. Cabarita suits us: long-term owners who value careful work, strata committees who want clear records, and homes where good lighting makes the most of river views. Whether you need one outdoor light on Edgewood Crescent or a new switchboard in an older house, whoever writes your quote is the person who completes the work.

More than half of Cabarita homes (54.6 per cent) were owned outright in 2021, so many houses still carry the boards they had when their owners moved in. Older boards often protect only some circuits, or none, with RCDs.

A CCEW, the state’s formal sign-off for licensed electrical work, is lodged for each Cabarita job we complete. In older brick houses we test existing wiring as we go and either fix problems or list them for you in writing. AS/NZS 3000 requires RCD protection on final subcircuits whenever a switchboard is replaced or altered, and we fit Type A switches because Type AC is no longer allowed in new installations.
Each Cabarita quote is a fixed figure, agreed in writing before work begins. Similar-sounding jobs vary a lot here: replacing lights in a modern Regatta Way apartment might be quick, while doing the same in an older two-storey house away from the water could mean working through a tight roof space and around original ceilings. So we look first and then commit to one price.
Old board in a Cabarita house, lighting to redesign in a Cape Cabarita unit, or outdoor power for a deck facing the river? Call 02 8999 3691. We come and see it, write down one price that stays put, and our labour is backed for as long as you own the place.
Cabarita homeowners, strata committees in the waterfront estates and families near Cabarita Park ask us these questions most often. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
In most cases. Vans roll from 7am to 5:30pm across the working week and 7am to 2pm on Saturdays; Sundays we rest. The peninsula sits on routes we drive constantly, so ringing before mid-morning usually lands a visit that afternoon. A burning smell or a breaker that refuses to reset pushes you to the front of the day.
No figure is given sight unseen. A lighting change in a recent waterfront apartment can be quick, while the same job in an older house with a tight roof space takes longer. Following the inspection a written fixed price is issued; additions you request are quoted on their own and only go ahead once you agree.
It is worth a check. Many Cabarita homes have been owned for a long time, and older boards often protect only some circuits with RCDs, or none at all. We test each circuit, tell you which are sound, and recommend an upgrade only if it is needed. If you are renovating or adding a big appliance, an upgrade is often the sensible time.
It depends on where the fault is. Wiring from your unit board into your rooms generally belongs to your lot, while mains, lobby lighting, car park circuits and shared facilities are common property. Our tracing shows which party owns the problem, and we brief your building manager if the owners corporation needs to approve the repair.
Yes. Many Cabarita homes face the Parramatta River, and owners want to use their decks and gardens more. We install weatherproof outlets, garden and step lighting, and circuits for outdoor heaters or fans, all with RCD protection. We choose fittings rated for outdoor use so they last in the damp river air.
Storms can bring down power across the area, and wet weather often shows up weak spots in outdoor wiring. If only your home is affected, or a safety switch trips every time it rains, we can find and fix the cause. If the whole street is out, report it to Ausgrid on 13 13 88, and call 000 if you see fallen lines or fire.
Yes. The 2021 Census recorded 1.9 vehicles per household on the peninsula, and plenty of houses have off-street parking. We check switchboard capacity, choose the best location and install and test the charger, often in one visit. In apartment blocks, the owners corporation signs off first, and we supply the metering plan they need.
Yes. We design lighting so it does not reflect off large windows at night, add dimmers and scene controls, and replace old halogen fittings with efficient LED downlights. Many Cabarita owners combine this with a kitchen or living room renovation, so the new layout gets lighting planned from the start.
Yes. The waterfront developments include gymnasiums, playing fields and some restaurants. We repair and upgrade common-area lighting, power for gym equipment and outdoor lighting on paths, and work with your strata or building manager to plan access and any shutdowns.
