Cromer households and workshop tenants can claim this season’s specials, from the Truman Avenue shops to Cromer Park, the Inman Road business park and homes above Narrabeen Lagoon. Say you saw the Cromer offer when you ring, and we note it against your booking.

Cromer is family house country. At the 2021 Census, 78.1 per cent of dwellings were separate houses (NSW sits at 65.6), 12.3 per cent were townhouses or semis and only 9.0 per cent were flats. Nearly half have four or more bedrooms. Much of the stock came from subdivisions of the 1960s to the 1980s, including Cromer Heights, so original boards and early PVC wiring are common. We do switchboard replacements, extra circuits for extensions and lighting redesigns for these roomy brick homes.

Cromer holds one of the larger industrial pockets on the peninsula, with warehouse and office units along Middleton Road, Inman Road and South Creek Road, and the Northern Beaches Business Park finished in late 2023. For workshops, showrooms and small factories we handle three-phase circuits, machine isolators, lighting and commercial electrical maintenance.

We run same-day service into Cromer from the golf course end near the lagoon up to Cromer Heights. Urgent jobs we see here include a sixty-year-old board scorching at the fuse holders, a compressor tripping a warehouse circuit, and half a house going dark after heavy rain.
Our Cromer work splits between family homes and the industrial streets. Owners make up the bulk of the suburb, with 41.8 per cent of dwellings on a mortgage and 36.1 per cent held outright, so we spend a lot of time upgrading houses people plan to stay in: bigger kitchens, rumpus rooms turned into studies, outdoor power for patios. As your Cromer electrician we also help townhouse owners and body corporates sort shared wiring.
On weekdays the vans often stop in the Middleton Road and Inman Road units, where tenants need new machine outlets or brighter high-bay lights before a fit-out opens. When a home or a workshop loses power without warning, our emergency electricians come out from the same crew that covers Dee Why, Narraweena and the rest of the Northern Beaches.

Blocks here were sold to returned servicemen from the mid-1960s under War Service Loans. Many of those houses now need extra circuits, earthing checks and LED lighting as owners extend upward or outward.
About one Cromer dwelling in eight is a townhouse, villa or semi. We trace faults to either the lot or common property and give owners and the body corporate one clear written report.
Middleton Road and the South Creek Road corner hold warehouse units with roller doors and three-phase supply. We fit machine circuits, isolators, high-bay lighting and extra outlets for new tenants.
Cromer averages two vehicles per dwelling, and most homes have a garage or carport. That makes it simple to add a dedicated charging circuit once we confirm the board has spare capacity.

Our licensed team understands the layout of Cromer Heights homes from the 1960s subdivision years, including where the original meter boxes sit and how the ceiling spaces run.

Before any work begins we write down one agreed figure. A Wambiri Place townhouse and a four-bedroom brick home near Cromer Park are costed separately, because each job is different.

When a Middleton Road workshop loses its main supply or a family home near Truman Reserve starts sparking, that call moves ahead of routine bookings on the day.

Many of our 250+ customers found us through Cromer neighbours, local sporting clubs and business owners in the Inman Road precinct who were happy to pass our number along.

Labour on every Cromer circuit we install is covered for life, whether it feeds a new warehouse machine or the extra bathroom in a split-level family home.

Call or book online and tell us whether you are in a house, a townhouse complex or a warehouse unit. We will suggest a slot that fits school runs or shift times.

Our electrician walks through the property, checks the board and explains the options. You then receive a written fixed figure to approve before we start any work.

Parking is easy in most Cromer streets, so we arrive in the agreed window. If traffic on Pittwater Road or the Wakehurst Parkway slows us, we phone you first.

Drop sheets protect carpets and timber, and all offcuts and packaging go back in the van. You receive your compliance paperwork and a plain explanation of what we changed in your home.

Spyro founded the business in 2017, and a crew of five-plus licensed electricians now shares the load. Cromer is a steady part of our week because it mixes two kinds of work we enjoy: renovating solid family homes on quiet streets and keeping warehouse units running on the industrial side. We send the same small crew back to each job, so the electrician who quoted your extension is usually the one who finishes it.

Spyro here. If the board in your Cromer home still has old ceramic fuses, or your Inman Road unit needs more power for new equipment, phone me on 02 8999 3691 and I will line up one of our sparkies to come round.

Cromer grew mostly through the 1960s to 1980s, with Cromer Heights opening to returned servicemen in the mid-1960s, so many boards are now forty to sixty years old. With 47.9 per cent of homes holding four or more bedrooms, those tired boards are carrying far more appliances than they were designed for.

NSW rules call for a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work after every job, and each Cromer visit gets one lodged. In a house subdivided in the 1960s or 1970s we often uncover joins and extensions added by past owners, and anything we disturb is either fixed or written up. Changing a board brings in AS/NZS 3000 residual current protection for final subcircuits, and Type AC devices are not allowed in new installations from 1 May 2023.
You see a fixed price in writing before the tools come out. A phone estimate is unreliable in Cromer, because the same lighting job varies: a single-level townhouse off Wambiri Place might take an afternoon, while a split-level brick home in Cromer Heights with a low roof space needs far more crawling and cable work. So we visit first, then commit to one figure.
Planning an extension near Cromer Park, dealing with an old fuse board, or fitting out a unit on Middleton Road? Phone 02 8999 3691 to book an on-site look; the quote arrives as one written figure and our labour carries a lifetime guarantee.
Cromer home owners, townhouse committees and warehouse tenants raise these points with us again and again. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often on the same day. Our weekday hours are 7am until 5:30pm, Saturdays 7am until 2pm, and Cromer is on routes we drive across the Northern Beaches most days. Calling early in the morning gives us the best chance of reaching you before the day closes. If you smell burning or the main switch keeps dropping out, tell us, because those calls are handled first.
We do not guess a price over the phone. The effort behind a job depends on the building: adding a circuit to a newer townhouse is quick, while the same task in a 1960s split-level home with a tight roof space takes longer. After we inspect, the written fixed figure holds unless you decide to add to the scope.
In most cases, yes. Many Cromer homes were built during the 1960s and 1970s subdivisions, and their boards were never designed for today’s appliances. We commonly find rewireable fuses, no RCD protection and earthing that has been altered over the years. We test each circuit, tell you what is still sound, and quote a new board with safety switches that suits your home and budget.
That depends on where the fault is. Wiring from your own board into your rooms is normally the owner’s responsibility, while shared lighting, driveway lights and the main supply are usually common property. Once we locate the fault, both you and the strata manager receive a short written note saying whose side of the line it falls on, which settles who books the repair.
Yes. With two cars per dwelling on average and most homes having a garage or carport, Cromer suits home charging well. Our electrician measures how much headroom the board has, lays a separate circuit out to the garage or carport, then mounts the unit where the cable reaches the car comfortably. If the board is too full, we explain the upgrade options before quoting.
We do. Warehouse and office units along Middleton Road, Inman Road and South Creek Road often need three-phase outlets, machine isolators and brighter high-bay lighting when a new tenant moves in. We can also run data cabling to the office area and schedule noisy work outside your operating hours so production is not disrupted.
Call us before the builder closes the walls. In Cromer many families extend upward rather than move, and planning the wiring early lets us position switches, power and lighting where you actually need them. We coordinate with your builder, run new circuits during the frame stage and check that the existing board can handle the extra load. Our renovation wiring service covers the whole process.
Yes. Many Cromer homes still have single central ceiling lights and no fans in bedrooms. We fit ceiling fans with wall controls, replace old fittings with energy-efficient LEDs and add dimmers where needed. Before starting, we check the roof space for old cabling and insulation clearances so the new fittings are installed safely.
Yes. Cromer has many active playing fields and clubrooms around Cromer Park, Truman Reserve and James Morgan Reserve. We maintain lighting in change rooms, add power to canteens and kitchens and fault-find circuits that trip during events. Tell us your committee’s schedule and we will work around training nights and game days.
Our vans reach every street in Cromer 2099, including Cromer Heights, the Truman Avenue shops, Fisher Road North, Middleton Road, Inman Road and the streets around Cromer Park, St Matthews Farm Reserve and the golf club. We also work regularly in Narraweena, Dee Why, Collaroy, Beacon Hill, Narrabeen, Brookvale, Frenchs Forest and Belrose.
