Peakhurst housing is more mixed than it looks from Forest Road. The 2021 Census counted 56.7 per cent separate houses, 24.1 per cent semis, villas or townhouses (about double the 11.7 per cent state share) and 18.5 per cent flats. Timber-cutting and orchards gave way to suburban blocks, and many were later split for duplexes and villa groups. We do rewiring of older brick homes, new circuits for knock-down rebuilds and meter panel sorting in shared complexes.

A sizeable industrial precinct sits on and around Boundary Road, with retail and cafes along Forest Road near the Peakhurst Inn. For workshops, warehouses and shops we install three-phase outlets, machine isolators, high-bay lighting, factory electrical work and data points, and provide scheduled testing so production is not interrupted.

Our same-day service reaches every Peakhurst street between Salt Pan Creek and the Hurstville side. Typical urgent calls: a workshop losing a phase on Boundary Road, a villa unit dead after a shared board fault, and storm damage from the big trees in older gardens.
Our Peakhurst customers split three ways. Families in post-war brick houses want old boards replaced and kitchens rewired; owners of duplexes and villa groups need each dwelling separated cleanly at the meter; and tradespeople on the Boundary Road estate call about machinery circuits and lighting. Being the Peakhurst electrician they keep on speed dial means knowing all three kinds of work well.
Leafy streets are part of the suburb’s character, and a portion of its trees was recorded in the 1990 National Trust Lugarno Tree Study. Those same trees drop limbs on service lines in storms, and older overhead-fed homes suffer. For a burning smell, flickering circuits or a board that will not reset, call our emergency electrician team, working all through St George and Canterbury-Bankstown from Salt Pan Creek to the bay suburbs.

Nearly a quarter of Peakhurst dwellings are semis, villas or townhouses. We separate circuits per dwelling, tidy shared meter panels and confirm which faults sit with the owners corporation.
Many single houses still run original wiring and fuse boards. We replace them with modern breakers, add safety switches and extra outlets for kitchens and home offices.
About 27.6 per cent of Peakhurst homes are rented. We install and replace hard-wired smoke alarms on every level and leave dated records for agents between tenancies.
Mature trees are part of the local streetscape. After storms we check homes for damaged consumer mains on the property side, water in fittings and circuits knocked out by fallen branches.

Our licensed electricians know Peakhurst stock well, from 1950s brick homes near Peakhurst Park to newer duplex pairs built where a single house once stood on Bonds Road.

A written fixed figure comes after we have seen the job. Wiring a villa unit in a shared complex and wiring a Boundary Road workshop get quoted separately and honestly.

A Peakhurst workshop stuck without power or a home with a hot power point gets priority from our crew, who work across St George and nearby Riverwood daily.

Many of our 250+ customers live or trade in Peakhurst, including villa owners, local builders and small manufacturers on the Boundary Road estate who ring us back year after year.

Labour on every circuit we fit in a Peakhurst home, townhouse or factory unit is guaranteed for life, so a knock-down rebuild wired by us stays covered.

Mention whether you live in a villa group with a shared driveway or run a factory unit with set loading times, and we will book around it.

We check the board and meter arrangement, talk you through what is needed, and email a fixed written figure before any work starts at your Peakhurst property.

Forest Road and Henry Lawson Drive get busy at school times, so we plan our route and turn up inside the window we gave you, or ring early if delayed.

Dust sheets down, offcuts collected and shared driveways left clear for neighbours. You also get the compliance certificate and a note on what changed on your board.

Spyro launched the business in 2017, and the crew now numbers five-plus licensed electricians. Peakhurst gives us a good mix of work in a small area: family homes, villa complexes and a busy industrial pocket off Boundary Road. We like it because every job needs a different eye, whether that is sorting out a shared meter panel for three townhouses or adding three-phase power for a new machine. The same team stays with your job from quote to certificate.

Peakhurst has a sizeable industrial area centred on Boundary Road, which puts machine shops, trade suppliers and small warehouses beside family streets. Those sites need heavier supply and stricter testing than the homes around them.

NSW requires a CCEW for each job, and every Peakhurst visit gets one. Post-war homes and older factory units here often still run boards with ceramic fuses and patchy earthing. When we touch those boards, AS/NZS 3000 brings RCD protection onto all final subcircuits, and because Type AC units have been barred from new work since 1 May 2023, we fit Type A or better.
We look at the job and then put a fixed price in writing, which you approve before we begin. A lighting upgrade in a villa unit off Isaac Street is a short visit, while the same scope in a Boundary Road workshop means three-phase checks, high ceilings and lifting gear. One number, agreed upfront, avoids surprises either way.
Whether it is a tripping board in a Bonds Road home, meter panel trouble in your villa complex or new machinery power on the industrial estate, call 02 8999 3691. We inspect, give you a written fixed price and guarantee the labour for life.
Peakhurst families, villa owners, landlords and industrial tenants ask us these most often. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often on the same day. We work Monday to Friday 7am to 5:30pm and Saturday 7am to 2pm, and we travel through Peakhurst between St George and Canterbury-Bankstown jobs. Ring 02 8999 3691 early to improve your chances. Anything dangerous, like scorch marks on a socket or a switchboard buzzing, jumps the queue.
We quote a fixed price after seeing the work. The spread is wide here: adding a circuit in a single-storey brick home is simple, whereas separating supply for three villa units or running three-phase into a factory takes much longer. We inspect, explain the options and put the price in writing. It only changes if you add to the scope.
Usually the wiring from your own unit board into your rooms belongs to you, while the main switchboard, shared lighting and driveway lights are common property. With 24.1 per cent of Peakhurst dwellings being semis, villas or townhouses, this question comes up often. We trace the fault, then give you and the strata manager a written finding.
In most cases, yes. Many Peakhurst houses were built after the war and still have rewireable fuses and little or no safety switch coverage. Modern appliances and air conditioning push those boards hard. A new board with RCD protection on every circuit reduces shock risk and nuisance problems, and gives you room for future loads like an EV charger.
Yes. Duplex and townhouse builds are common in Peakhurst as older blocks are redeveloped. We work with builders from the rough-in stage, separate each dwelling’s supply and metering on the property side, install lighting and power to plan, handle renovation wiring on retained sections, and issue compliance certificates at completion. Getting us involved early helps avoid costly changes later.
Every storey of a rental home needs a working alarm. When a tenant reports a fault, it must be fixed within two business days, and alarms must be replaced within ten years of manufacture. Hard-wired alarms must be fitted by a licensed electrician. With 27.6 per cent of Peakhurst homes rented, we handle plenty of these jobs for agents.
Stay well clear and keep others away. If lines are down on the ground or sparking, call 000. For damage to the network lines, contact Ausgrid on 13 13 88. Once the network side is safe, we can repair any damaged wiring, fittings or switchboard components on your property, and check whether water got into outdoor circuits.
Usually. We assess the existing supply and switchboard, calculate the load of the new machine, and install three-phase outlets and isolators to suit. If the site needs more capacity from the network, we explain what that involves. We schedule the work to minimise downtime and leave the installation tested and certified.
We do. Most detached homes and many villas have a garage or carport, and households average 1.7 vehicles. We check whether your board has room, run a dedicated protected circuit and fit the charger where it suits your parking. In villa complexes, charging from common property needs owners corporation approval, which we can help you prepare for.
