Illawong homes are big and mostly owner-held. The 2021 Census counted 92.6 per cent separate houses and found 74.2 per cent of dwellings with four or more bedrooms, averaging four bedrooms each. After every Illawong job we issue a CCEW, the certificate NSW requires for electrical work. Houses from the 1970s build-out often carry rewireable fuses, patchy earthing and later additions of unknown quality, so we test the whole installation when we open a board. Altering or replacing it means AS/NZS 3000 RCD protection on each final subcircuit, while Type AC devices stay out of our kit, as the rules have excluded them from fresh installations since 1 May 2023.
We look first and then provide a fixed price in writing.
