Sefton is house country. The 2021 Census recorded 70.0 per cent separate houses, above the state’s 65.6, with 14.0 per cent semis or townhouses and 15.7 per cent units. Households average 3.3 people against 2.6 statewide, and a third of homes have four or more bedrooms. The land was market gardens, orchards and poultry farms before subdivision, and Stockland began here in 1952 with 19 houses. We upgrade boards, add circuits and handle rewiring for these busy family homes.

Business life centres on the small cluster beside Sefton station, including the Growers Market, a newsagency and a bistro. Schools such as Sefton High School and Immaculate Heart of Mary also rely on steady power. We carry out lighting upgrades, fridge circuits and commercial maintenance for these local premises.

Large households lean hard on their wiring, and our same-day service reaches every part of Sefton from the station to Jensen Oval. Urgent calls here often involve an overloaded kitchen circuit, an air conditioner tripping the board in a heatwave, or a scorched outlet behind a fridge.
Families are the core of our Sefton work. With 3.3 people in the average household and a median age of 35, homes here run washing machines, split systems and kitchen appliances almost constantly, and many older boards struggle to keep up. As the Sefton electrician that plenty of these families now call, we add circuits, replace worn fittings and install appliance circuits for new ovens and cooktops.
Landlords make up another share, since 33.6 per cent of dwellings were rented in 2021, along with the shops by the station and townhouse owners corporations. When a board trips and will not reset, or a power point starts to smell hot, our emergency repair team comes out the same day where possible. We cover the suburbs next door across St George and Canterbury-Bankstown and nearby Cumberland areas too.

Sefton was market gardens, orchards and poultry farms before housing arrived, and Stockland built its first 19 homes here in 1952. Those older houses often need fresh cable, new earthing and more circuits.
Semis and townhouses make up 14.0 per cent of Sefton dwellings. We handle lot boards, driveway and common lighting, and work out whether a fault is the owner's or the strata's responsibility.
The Growers Market, newsagency and bistro beside Sefton station need reliable refrigeration and lighting. We add circuits, upgrade to LED and fit exit signs, working outside the busiest trading hours.
About a third of Sefton homes are rented. Between tenancies we replace expired smoke alarms, test safety switches and fix worn outlets, then give landlords dated records for their files.

Our licensed electricians know Sefton’s former farmland subdivisions and the family homes built across them, so we can find faults quickly in wiring that has been extended many times over.

Every Sefton job is priced after an inspection, with one fixed figure in writing. A townhouse near the station and a large home by the golf course get separate quotes.

When a crowded Sefton household loses power in a heatwave or a shop fridge near the station trips, we push the call forward so food, cooling and routines are not left waiting.

Our 250+ customers include Sefton families, landlords and station-side shopkeepers, and many came to us after friends from Jensen Oval or school pick-up passed on our number.

Labour on every circuit we run in a Sefton home, townhouse or shop is guaranteed for life, covering board upgrades and extra kitchen and laundry circuits alike.

Tell us your street and whether there is side access, a locked gate or a dog in the yard. We then choose a time that suits school runs and work shifts.

Once we have checked the board and the load your household uses, we explain the options plainly and send one fixed figure in writing, with no surprises on the invoice.

Streets near Sefton station and Sefton High School get busy around school times, so we plan parking in advance and arrive within the window, ringing ahead if delayed.

We lay drop sheets, take every offcut away and leave the compliance certificate together with a short note explaining exactly what changed on your board and circuits.

Sefton households average 3.3 people, well above the NSW 2.6, and 70.0 per cent of homes are separate houses. Bigger families mean heavier daily loads, so replacing outdated boards is the upgrade we recommend most here.

NSW law requires a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work for all electrical jobs, and every Sefton job we finish comes with one. In busy family homes, that record shows the work was tested properly before the family relies on it. Replacing or altering a board means AS/NZS 3000 RCD protection must cover each final subcircuit, and since 1 May 2023 Type AC safety switches cannot go into new work.
We put a fixed figure in writing for every Sefton job once we have inspected it. Jobs that sound alike can vary: a new light in a recent townhouse near the station may be quick, while the same request in an older family home built on former farmland can mean replacing brittle cable and working through a low roof space. Inspecting first keeps the number reliable.
Board tripping in a busy Sefton household, an air conditioner that cuts out, or a rental that needs new alarms? Ring 02 8999 3691 and a licensed electrician will visit, test the problem and give you a written fixed price, with every hour of labour guaranteed for life.
Sefton families, landlords, townhouse owners and station-side shopkeepers ask us these questions. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often, yes. We are on the road from 7am to 5:30pm on weekdays and 7am to 2pm on Saturdays, and we close on Sundays. Sefton is part of our regular run, so ringing 02 8999 3691 in the morning usually secures a same-day visit. Tell us about sparks, hot switches or a board that trips repeatedly so we can move you up.
We inspect first and then give one fixed figure in writing. In Sefton, a newer townhouse and an older family home can need very different effort for what sounds like the same job, especially if old cable or a crowded board is involved. The price only changes if you ask us to add work.
Usually too many heavy appliances share one circuit. With 3.3 people per household on average, Sefton homes often run the oven, dryer, kettle and air conditioning together. Older boards with few circuits cannot spread that load. We test the circuits, find the overloaded one and recommend either new circuits or a switchboard upgrade.
Many benefit from it. Houses built as the old market gardens and poultry farms were subdivided often still have original cable, missing earths and fittings that have been extended over the years. We test the existing wiring, tell you which circuits are sound and quote replacements only where needed.
NSW rentals need a working alarm on every storey, repairs within two business days of a tenant’s notice and replacement within ten years of the manufacture date. Hard-wired alarms must be installed by a licensed electrician. With about a third of Sefton homes rented, we handle plenty of landlord checks and provide dated records after each visit.
Yes. Sefton averaged 1.9 vehicles per dwelling in 2021, and most houses have a driveway or garage. We check spare board capacity, run a dedicated circuit to where you park and mount the charger, adding a board upgrade first if the existing one is too old or too full.
It depends on where the fault is. Wiring inside your lot is usually the owner’s job, while common lighting, main boards and shared services are the owners corporation’s. We trace the fault first and send a written finding to both you and the strata manager.
Of course. Busy Sefton households often rely on power boards and extension leads because rooms lack outlets. We add power points where you need them, including USB outlets, fit LED lighting and install ceiling fans that make hot western Sydney afternoons easier to live with.
Yes. The Growers Market, newsagency and bistro beside the station depend on reliable refrigeration and lighting. We add circuits for new fridges and equipment, switch lighting to LED, fit exit and emergency lights and schedule noisy work outside peak trading.
