Living on Loftus Street, running a workshop by Turrella station or renting near the Henderson Street footbridge? Our current Turrella deals also stretch to Thompson Street and the edge of the Wolli Creek Valley. Bring up the offer when you ring to book and we apply it.

Turrella is a split suburb. The 2021 Census found 46.9 per cent separate houses and 44.8 per cent flats, well above the 21.7 per cent state figure for units, with 43.0 per cent of homes rented. Orchards and farms were carved into housing lots after the railway arrived, and the station opened in 1931, so many cottages near Loftus Street carry decades of piecemeal wiring. We do full and partial rewires, board swaps, extra kitchen circuits and fault tracing in both the older houses and the newer apartment blocks.

Small light industrial buildings cluster around Turrella station and run north beside the rail corridor, on ground where the Streets Ice Cream factory once operated. For these units, workshops and warehouses we handle three-phase circuits, machine isolators, high-bay lighting and commercial electrical maintenance booked around your shifts.

Turrella gets same-day service from our crews on nearly every call. Typical urgent jobs here include a cottage board that keeps tripping after a storm, a dead lighting circuit in an apartment lobby, burnt-out outlets in a rented flat and a workshop losing one phase mid-shift.
Our Turrella clients are a real mix. Long-time owners in the older houses off Loftus Street want tired circuits sorted, landlords need alarms and boards checked between leases, and the newer unit blocks bring strata committees with common-area lighting to maintain. Then there are the small factories and storage units near the station that rely on three-phase power every working day. As a Turrella electrician we see all of these in a single week.
The suburb is compact, walled in by the Wolli Creek bushland on one side and the railway on the other, so getting between jobs is quick. A cracked light switch in a Henderson Street home, a failed safety switch in a rental, or an urgent power fault in a warehouse by the tracks all get the same careful approach we bring to homes and businesses across St George and Canterbury-Bankstown.

Farms and orchards here were subdivided after the line came through, and the station opened in 1931. We replace aged cable, add earthing and new circuits, and keep disruption to living areas as small as we can.
Flats make up 44.8 per cent of Turrella dwellings. We work out whether a fault sits in your lot or on common property, then repair lobby lighting, intercom power and unit boards with clear reports for strata.
With 43 per cent of homes rented, agents call us between tenancies to replace expired smoke alarms, test RCDs and hand over dated paperwork that keeps the landlord file in order.
Light industrial units line the railway around Turrella station. We install three-phase outlets, machine isolators and LED high-bay lighting, and time noisy work so production is not held up.

Our licensed electricians regularly open up Turrella cottages built after the orchard subdivisions, where older cable, ceramic fuses and patched extensions sit behind plaster in almost every room.

You see the job first as a written figure. A two-bedroom flat near the station and a three-bedroom house on Loftus Street each get their own fixed quote after we inspect.

A tripped main in a Turrella rental or a workshop without power near the rail line gets pushed forward in our day, and we tell you honestly when a van can reach you.

Turrella landlords, unit owners and small factory operators sit among the 250+ customers who have reviewed our work, alongside households just across Wolli Creek and in Bardwell Park.

Every circuit, board and fitting we install in a Turrella home or workshop carries our lifetime labour guarantee, so a fault in our workmanship never costs you a second visit.

Ring us with your street and whether you are in a house, a unit block or a factory near the station. We then suggest a slot that suits your tenants, your shifts or your family.

Once we have opened the board and traced the circuits, you get a plain explanation and a written fixed amount, and it only changes if you ask for more work.

Turrella streets are narrow near the station, so we plan where the van will park and arrive inside the window we promised, calling ahead if the M5 traffic slows us.

Offcuts and old fittings leave with us, floors are swept, and you receive the compliance certificate plus a short list of anything else we spotted in your Turrella home.

Spyro started the business in 2017 and the crew has since grown to more than five licensed electricians. Turrella became familiar ground because it sits between our jobs in Arncliffe, Bardwell Park and Earlwood. We know the old houses that went up after the railway, the newer unit blocks, and the light industrial units by the tracks. Whether it is a rental alarm upgrade or three-phase work for a workshop, one crew handles your job from first call to sign-off.

Turrella is almost evenly split between separate houses at 46.9 per cent and flats at 44.8 per cent, and much of the housing followed the railway after 1931. That means plenty of ageing boards in older homes alongside crowded unit meter rooms, and board upgrades are the job we quote most here.

For each Turrella job we lodge a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work, which NSW law requires. In a cottage that has been extended several times since the railway era, any old wiring we disturb is either brought up to standard or noted in writing for you. Replacing or changing a board means residual current protection for all final subcircuits under AS/NZS 3000, and Type AC units have been off the table for new work since 1 May 2023.
Our quotes are one written figure, settled before any tools come out. Guessing a price by phone rarely helps in Turrella, because adding lights in a newer two-bedroom unit near the station is quick, while the same lights in an older house off Loftus Street can mean crawling under floors and working around old cable. We inspect, explain the options and put a single number on paper.
Tired fuse board in a Loftus Street cottage, an agent asking about alarms, or a workshop by the station needing more power? Call 02 8999 3691. A licensed electrician will look at it in person, give you one written figure and back the labour for life.
Turrella home owners, landlords, unit residents and small business operators near the station ask us these most. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
In most cases, yes. Our vans are out from 7am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and from 7am to 2pm on Saturday, and Turrella sits right beside suburbs we work in daily. Ring 02 8999 3691 in the morning and we can usually fit you in the same day. Let us know about any burning smell or a main switch that will not reset, because those calls come first.
We only name a figure once we have seen the work. Two jobs that sound alike can be very different here: a new power point in a recent unit block is simple, while the same outlet in an older house with timber floors and extended wiring takes longer. After the inspection you get one written price, and it stays put unless you add to the job.
Many homes here were built after the orchards were subdivided for the railway, then extended and rewired in stages. We often find old rubber or cloth cable joined to newer PVC, circuits overloaded by air conditioning, and boards with limited RCD protection. Moisture from nearby bushland and storms can also find weak joints. We test each circuit, show you what is safe and quote a fix that suits the house.
It comes down to location. The wiring from your own unit board to your rooms is normally the lot owner’s responsibility, while main boards, lobby lights, car park lighting and risers usually belong to common property. With 44.8 per cent of Turrella dwellings being flats, we sort this often. We trace the fault, then give you and the strata manager a written finding.
It can. Homes backing onto the bushland see more leaf litter, possums and damp, which can get into roof spaces, outdoor fittings and garden lighting. We check weatherproof ratings on outside power points, look for rodent or possum damage to cable in the ceiling, and make sure garden circuits sit behind a working safety switch. It is also worth a look after heavy storms.
Only near a few sites. Cairnsfoot on Loftus Street and the Wolli Creek Aqueduct off Thompson Street are listed heritage items, so work on or around them may need council input. For ordinary homes nearby, internal rewiring and board upgrades are normal jobs. If you are unsure whether your property is affected, check with Bayside Council before we start and we will plan the work around any conditions.
Every storey needs a working alarm, a fault the tenant reports must be fixed within two business days, and alarms have to be replaced within ten years of the date printed on them. Hard-wired alarms must be installed by a licensed electrician. With 43 per cent of Turrella homes rented, we do many of these for agents, and we can add alarm testing between tenancies with dated records.
Usually, if you have off-street parking. The Census shows about 1.5 vehicles per dwelling here, and houses with a driveway or garage are good candidates. We check spare capacity at the board, run a dedicated circuit to the parking spot and mount the charger. In unit blocks we first confirm strata approval and whether the car park supply can handle it.
Yes. Light industrial units line the railway around the station, and they need three-phase outlets, machine isolators, LED high-bay lighting and regular testing. We plan the work around production, isolate only the circuits involved and leave clear labelling at the board. Fit-outs for new tenants moving into a unit are also part of our regular work here.
Yes. Every electrician on the team is licensed and insured, and the business has been running since 2017 under founder Spyro. We lodge the compliance certificate for every job, and the labour on all work we do in your Turrella home or workshop is guaranteed for life, so if our workmanship fails we come back and fix it.
