This is a peninsula of big family houses. Usually. Our electricians work 7am to 5:30pm on weekdays and 7am to 2pm on Saturdays, and the peninsula is on routes we drive every day. Phone 02 8999 3691 early and we can normally be there the same day. A hot switchboard, burning smell or total loss of power is prioritised over planned jobs.
Only after we see it. Two jobs with the same name can differ a lot here: adding downlights to a single-storey home is simple, while wiring a waterfront pool area on a steep block means trenching and marine-grade fittings. We inspect, talk through the options, and email a fixed price that only moves if you ask for more.
Often it will not. Many Caringbah South homes still have the board installed when they were built, sized for far less than today’s ducted air, induction cooktops and home offices. Adding a storey or large rear extension usually means a new board with room for extra circuits and full RCD protection. We assess the load early so the builder can plan around it.
