Maianbar is a village of freestanding houses on the southern side of Port Hacking. The 2021 Census recorded 97.0 per cent separate houses, no terraces and a median age of 50. Nearly one dwelling in five, 18.8 per cent, stood empty on census night, around double the state rate. Before 1951 the area was known as the Fishermans Bay and Sand Spit estates, and homes of many different ages now line the streets. We handle rewiring, board upgrades and weatherproof outdoor power.
