Running a workshop on Kendall Street, a factory unit on Berry Street or a trade counter along Parramatta Road? Our limited Clyde specials also stretch to George Street, Sutherland Street and sites near the station. Bring up this offer while booking and it goes straight onto your quote.

Very few people live in Clyde. The 2021 Census recorded just 9 residents and 15 private dwellings, and the City of Parramatta describes the suburb as dominated by industry with very little residential population. It was not always so: an 1883 township known as Hudson or New Glasgow grew beside the engineering works, and a 1943 aerial photo still shows houses mixed with factories. For the handful of homes left, and for families over the border in Granville, we carry out home electrical repairs and board checks.

Clyde grew around rail and heavy engineering, from the Hudson Bros works and Clyde Engineering to the marshalling yards resumed in 1874. Today factories, workshops and warehouses line Kendall, Berry and George Streets. We handle machine circuits, lighting, board upgrades and industrial electrical maintenance for these businesses.

Clyde businesses can call on our same-day service from Parramatta Road through to the Duck River side. Typical urgent jobs: a compressor circuit tripping in a panel shop, a factory board with a burnt busbar, or roller doors and lights dead after a storm.
In Clyde we mostly work for tradespeople and manufacturers: panel beaters, fabricators, warehouse operators and the landlords who lease them their units. Jobs range from a new welder outlet to lighting a whole bay. As a Clyde electrician we understand that a stopped workshop means lost income, so we plan work around the tools and people on the floor.
The area is shifting again. Sydney Metro West is building a 38-hectare stabling and maintenance facility bounded by James Ruse Drive, the M4, Unwin Street and Shirley Street, and nearby units are being refreshed for new tenants. That brings calls to strip redundant wiring, add three-phase outlets and resolve any emergency electrical problem holding up a move. From Clyde our crew heads on to Granville, Rosehill and across Western Sydney.

Welders, compressors and spray booths draw heavy current. We install dedicated three-phase outlets, isolators and cable sized for the load so tools run without tripping or overheating circuits.
Clyde's industrial history reaches back to the 1880s, so some buildings carry decades of alterations. We trace old circuits, remove redundant wiring and bring what remains up to a safe, documented standard.
Trade counters and showrooms along Parramatta Road need bright displays and signage. We fit LED lighting, add outlets for counters and service the circuits behind illuminated signs and security systems.
Many warehouse units include a small office upstairs. We run network cabling, add power for desks and air conditioning, and fit a sub-board so office faults stay separate from the floor.

Our licensed electricians spend real time in Clyde’s factories and workshops, dealing with three-phase gear, welders and older industrial boards installed decades before modern protection rules.

You tell us what the business needs, we inspect, then send one fixed figure in writing. A small Sutherland Street unit and a large George Street warehouse are quoted separately.

When a panel shop loses power or a factory board overheats, we move it forward, since our vans travel the Parramatta and Granville area every working day.

Our 250+ customers include Clyde fabricators, warehouse managers and commercial landlords, with many new calls coming from neighbouring tenants in the same industrial complex.

Labour on each circuit we install at a Clyde workshop or factory carries a lifetime guarantee, whether it powers one lathe or a full row of high-bay lights.

Call with your street, roller door access and when machines are quietest. We then schedule the visit so your crew can keep working while we are there.

We check the board, the load and your equipment, then explain the job simply and give you a firm price in writing before we lift a single tool.

Our electrician turns up at the agreed hour, parks clear of your loading area on Berry or Kendall Street and follows any site safety rules you have.

Once finished, we tidy the work bay, test and label each circuit and hand over the compliance certificate with notes for your maintenance log.

Local pockets we cover in Clyde
Nearby suburbs we also serve

Our business began in 2017 with Spyro, and has grown to five-plus licensed electricians working across Sydney. Clyde is one of the busier industrial pockets on our route, and it suits us well: straight-talking tradespeople, practical jobs and a need to keep machines running. We wire new equipment, replace old factory boards, relight workshops and set up units for new tenants, with the same small crew seeing each job through.

Clyde is almost entirely industrial, and its factory stock has been altered many times since the Hudson works opened in 1883. A thorough inspection of boards, protection and earthing is the service we recommend most to Clyde landlords and business owners.

NSW requires a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work after every job, and we issue a CCEW on each Clyde site. In factories reworked over many decades, that means we test the circuits we touch and put anything unsafe in writing. Board replacements or alterations bring the AS/NZS 3000 rule that final subcircuits get RCD protection, and new work has excluded Type AC devices since 1 May 2023.
We set the price only after seeing the site. Adding an outlet beside a bench in a compact Sutherland Street unit is quick, whereas replacing the lighting in a tall George Street warehouse involves lifting equipment and staging around the working day. After the inspection, you get a fixed written quote, and it stays put unless you request extra work.
Workshop board tripping, a new machine to connect or a unit to prepare for tenants in Clyde? Phone 02 8999 3691 and a licensed electrician will visit, check the site and give you a fixed written quote, with our labour guaranteed for life.
Clyde manufacturers, panel beaters, warehouse managers and commercial landlords often put these questions to us. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
In most cases. We work Monday to Friday 7am to 5:30pm and Saturday 7am to 2pm, closed Sunday. Granville and Parramatta are on our daily route, so an early call to 02 8999 3691 often gets an electrician to your site that afternoon. A burning smell, sparks or exposed live parts mean we reshuffle the day to reach you sooner.
We inspect first, because factory jobs vary so much. Wiring one machine in a small unit is simple, while relighting a large warehouse means lifting gear and careful staging. After the visit you receive a fixed written quote for the agreed scope, and the figure only changes if you ask us to add work.
Usually the circuit feeding it is too small, the protection is wrong for the equipment, or other loads share the same line. In Clyde’s older buildings we also find worn outlets and loose connections. We measure the load, check the protective device and cable, then fit a dedicated outlet and circuit that suit the welder’s rating.
Yes, where the site already has three-phase supply. We check spare capacity on the board, run a dedicated circuit, fit a lockable isolator near the machine and set protection to suit the motor. If the building needs a bigger supply from the network, that requires Endeavour Energy and an Accredited Service Provider, and we will tell you early.
We do. When a Clyde unit changes hands, we remove redundant wiring, test and label the board, repair damaged outlets and lighting, and check exit and emergency lights. Landlords get a record of the work, and incoming tenants can ask us to add circuits for their own equipment at the same visit.
Often, yes. Older metal halide and fluorescent fittings use more power, take time to warm up and fail regularly. We replace them with LED high-bays in work areas and LED downlights in offices, add sensors in storage zones and can stage the changeover so production carries on.
Yes. Staff kitchens, lunchrooms and trade counters in Clyde need reliable power for ovens, dishwashers, fridges and boiling water units. We install and connect electrical appliances, fit dedicated circuits where the load calls for one and repair faulty outlets and isolators, keeping downtime short for your staff.
The Sydney Metro West stabling and maintenance facility is being built on a large site bounded by James Ruse Drive, the M4, Unwin Street and Shirley Street. We do not work on the Metro project itself, but nearby businesses may face changed access or parking. We plan our visits around that and confirm the best entry point with you first.
Yes. Extension leads across a factory floor are a trip and fire risk, so we add power points at benches, packing areas and charging stations. We make sure each new outlet has the right protection and is mounted where forklifts and trolleys will not strike it.
The whole of Clyde 2142, including Parramatta Road, James Ruse Drive, Kendall Street, Berry Street, George Street, Sutherland Street, the Unwin Street and Shirley Street area, sites around Clyde station and along Duck Creek and Duck River. We also work daily in Granville, Rosehill, Harris Park, Camellia, South Granville, Parramatta and Merrylands.
