Own acreage off Powder Works Road, a block on Wilga Street or a place up in Ingleside Heights? Our seasonal Ingleside deals also reach Wattle Road, Wilson Avenue and homes near the Baha’i Temple. Mention this offer when you ring and it comes off your invoice.

Ingleside is semi-rural country at 198 metres above sea level, and the 2021 Census found 94.1 per cent of its 290 occupied dwellings were separate houses, with flats at just 1 per cent. Homes are big, averaging 3.9 bedrooms, with 61 per cent at four or more. On these lots we run new circuits out to studios and sheds, put in extra lighting along long driveways and rebalance boards that were never sized for pool pumps, workshops and ducted cooling on the same supply.

Business in Ingleside is scattered rather than clustered: the Baha’i Temple grounds on Mona Vale Road, Hamazkaine Galstaun College on the old Smoky Dawson ranch, the DoggieRescue shelter and working rural holdings. We handle commercial maintenance, kennel and classroom power, and lighting across wide grounds.

Our same-day service covers Ingleside from the Mona Vale Road ridge down to Ingleside Chase Reserve. Faults we see up here: a storm-felled branch taking out the circuit to a detached garage, a bore or tank pump failing in a heatwave, and an old board losing half the house after rain gets into an outbuilding feed.
Families make up most of our Ingleside work; 56.8 per cent of families here are couples raising children, and the average dwelling holds 3.3 vehicles. That mix drives the jobs: chargers in triple garages, power for home offices built into converted sheds, and outdoor lighting so kids can find the house at dusk along an unlit driveway. As your Ingleside electrician we also look after the college and small rural operators on Walter Road and Chiltern Road.
Planning here has changed several times. A 2016 state plan pictured 3,400 new dwellings before a 2018 bushfire study found extreme to catastrophic exposure, so most land keeps its rural character and older supply lines stay in service. For a burnt smell from a pump shed or a dead supply after a storm, book an urgent callout; we cover Ingleside and every pocket across the Northern Beaches.

Much of Ingleside is still zoned RU2 Rural Landscape, so lots carry sheds, stables and studios. We run sub-mains between buildings, fit separate boards in outbuildings and label everything clearly for the next owner.
A 2018 state study rated parts of the precinct at extreme to catastrophic bushfire risk. We fit outdoor lighting, pump circuits and generator changeover points that suit a property owner's fire plan.
Almost two in three Ingleside dwellings offer four bedrooms or more. Cooling in every wing, a second kitchen and a home office soon outgrow an older board, so we plan capacity before adding circuits.
Workshops on Ingleside blocks often run welders, compressors and saws off a thin extension from the house. We lay a proper feed, add extra outlets and protect each circuit with its own safety switch.

Our team understands Ingleside acreage, where one property may have a main house, granny wing, stables and workshop all hanging off a single switchboard installed decades apart.

Long cable runs between buildings on a two-hectare lot change the price a lot, so we walk the property first and then commit to one written figure you can plan around.

When a summer storm drops a tree across the feed to your Ingleside shed or pump, we treat it as urgent and get a licensed electrician out the same day where we can.

Plenty of the 250+ households on our books sit in Ingleside Heights or along Wattle Road, and several passed our number around after we untangled wiring left by earlier owners.

Trenching and cabling across an Ingleside paddock is hard to redo, which is why every hour of labour we put into it carries a guarantee for the life of the installation.

Mention gates, dogs, the driveway gradient and where the main board lives. We book a time that fits school runs along Mona Vale Road and your own week.

After walking every building on the block, we explain what each circuit needs and send a written price. That number holds unless you decide to add something new.

Mona Vale Road traffic can be slow, so we leave with a buffer and turn up in the window agreed. If anything delays us, you get a call before the window passes.

Trenches are backfilled, offcuts and packaging go back in the van, and gates are left as we found them, along with a compliance certificate and notes on every new circuit.

The business began with Spyro in 2017; today five-plus licensed electricians share the load, and the drive up Mona Vale Road to Ingleside is a regular fixture of our week. The semi-rural lots here ask for a different mindset than inner suburbs: long cable runs, outbuildings, pumps and bushland on every side. We rewire old sheds, add sub-boards for workshops, install EV chargers for multi-car households and keep the same crew on your job from the first site walk to the final test.

Flickering lights whenever the pool pump or a workshop saw starts on your Ingleside block usually mean the supply is stretched. Give Spyro a ring on 02 8999 3691 and a licensed tradesman can come and trace where the load is going.

The 2021 Census recorded an average of 3.3 motor vehicles per Ingleside dwelling, one of the highest figures in the region. With long garages, carports and big switchboards already on site, a home charger is often the most useful upgrade an Ingleside owner can make.

After every Ingleside job we issue a CCEW, the NSW certificate that records exactly what was installed and tested. On acreage that matters more than usual, because a shed feed laid decades ago by a previous owner may have no earth or protection at all. Once your board is altered, the wiring rules require residual current protection on every outgoing circuit, and the Type AC variety has been off the table for fresh installations since 1 May 2023, so we choose Type A units.
You get a firm price in writing once we have seen the job. Ingleside properties vary too much for guesswork: adding a light in a newer brick home near Wilson Avenue is quick, while trenching power to a stable three hundred metres from the house on Powder Works Road means digging, conduit and a separate board. We quote each on its own site walk.
Pump shed tripping, a workshop needing its own supply, or a new EV waiting on a charger in your Ingleside garage? Phone 02 8999 3691 to have one of our licensed team inspect the block, talk through the options and hand over a firm written price. Every hour of labour carries our lifetime guarantee.
Acreage owners, young families and small rural operators around Ingleside keep putting these questions to our team. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often we can. The vans work Monday to Friday between 7am and 5:30pm and on Saturdays from 7am until 2pm, and Sundays are off. Ingleside sits on our Mona Vale Road route, so a morning call gives the best chance of a visit before knock-off. If a pump shed smells like burning plastic or the main switch refuses to stay up, say so and we move you forward.
We avoid guessing. The same request, a new outdoor light for example, can take twenty minutes near the house or most of a day if the cable must cross a paddock to a stable. We walk the site, check the board and cable routes, then send a written fixed price that stays put unless you decide to add more.
It is a common setup on older Ingleside lots and it is not a safe long-term arrangement. Leads buried in grass get chewed, crushed and waterlogged, and they are rarely protected by the right safety switch. We can lay a proper underground sub-main in conduit, fit a small board in the shed and add weatherproof outlets, lights and a dedicated circuit for heavy tools.
It shapes what we recommend. The state government’s 2018 study rated parts of the Ingleside precinct at extreme to catastrophic bushfire risk, and residents depend on Powder Works Road and Mona Vale Road to leave. We can fit a generator inlet so pumps keep running during an outage, add external lighting that helps you see ember attack, and keep outdoor cabling in metal or buried conduit where heat could reach it.
Yes. Many Ingleside garages stand well apart from the house, so we run a sub-main to the garage, check how much spare capacity the supply really has and add load management if pumps and air conditioning already push it hard. With the Census showing more than three vehicles per dwelling here, we can also plan for a second charger from the start.
Not directly. The Wilga Wilson precinct proposal and the wider Ingleside planning work concern land use, dwelling numbers and zoning. Supply to your property stays with the network, and any work on the street mains is Ausgrid’s job, not ours. What we can do is make sure your own switchboard and circuits are ready if you plan to subdivide, extend or build a second dwelling later.
Sometimes, but often the answer is a sub-board in each building. Ingleside homes average 3.9 bedrooms and many have added wings over the years, so we find boards feeding four structures through undersized cable. We map every circuit, check voltage drop over the longer runs and recommend the simplest layout that gives each building its own isolation and protection.
We handle commercial maintenance for larger sites such as schools, places of worship and community groups. That includes lighting across car parks and paths, classroom power, emergency and exit lighting tests and fault finding in older outbuildings. We schedule noisy or disruptive work around class times, services or visiting hours so the grounds keep operating.
About a quarter of Ingleside dwellings were rented at the 2021 Census, often a cottage or granny flat on a larger lot. Each storey of a rented home needs a working alarm, a reported fault must be fixed within two business days, and alarms older than ten years from manufacture must be replaced. Hard-wired units have to go in via a licensed electrician, and we can fit interconnected smoke alarms across both buildings.
Yes. Tall gums and exposed ridges mean storms can leave Ingleside homes without power for hours. We install an approved inlet and changeover switch so a portable generator can safely run selected circuits, usually the fridge, lighting, internet and water pumps, without any risk of feeding back into the street network.
