Living near Remembrance Drive, on a bush block toward Wirrimbirra Sanctuary, or close to Bargo Sportsground and the railway station? Our Bargo offers only last a short while and stretch out along Avon Dam Road as well. Say you spotted the offer when you ring to book.

Bargo is a semi-rural town about 100 kilometres south-west of the CBD. The 2021 Census recorded 89.2 per cent separate houses, plus 3.0 per cent other dwellings such as caravans and cabins, against 0.7 per cent statewide. Owners hold 34.1 per cent of homes outright, and 52.4 per cent have four or more bedrooms. Much of our work here involves tired boards, outdoor circuits exposed to weather, and rewiring for older homes and the extensions added onto them.

Remembrance Drive is the town’s high street, and the former Bargo Police Station now serves as a doctors’ surgery with its old lock-ups still behind. The Hume Highway corridor and rural holdings add workshops and farm sheds to the mix. We provide commercial electrical repairs, lighting and new circuits for shops, clinics and small operators, arranged around trading.

Our same-day service reaches Bargo homes from the station precinct out to bush blocks near the Bargo River. Frequent urgent calls here include wind-damaged outdoor fittings, pump or shed circuits tripping after heavy rain, fire-affected cabling that needs testing, and old boards that give up when an air conditioner starts.
Bargo sits between Tahmoor and Yanderra, where early travellers fought their way through the thick scrub known as the Bargo Brush. Our clients here are mostly settled owners, with 34.1 per cent holding their homes outright, plus younger families paying off bigger houses. As a Bargo electrician, we bring safe power to sheds and outbuildings, replace ageing boards and install appliance circuits for new ovens and cooktops.
Fire is part of life on this edge of the catchment. The Bargo Rural Fire Brigade has served the town since 1939, and in December 2019 at least 20 structures, including at least 12 homes, were lost around Bargo, Balmoral and Buxton. After storms or fire, owners call us to check damaged wiring, and our emergency electricians come in from jobs across Macarthur, including Tahmoor, Picton and Thirlmere.

Plenty of Bargo homes sit on bigger blocks with sheds, pumps and workshops. We run submains, add outdoor lighting and fit weatherproof outlets, each protected by its own safety switch.
The December 2019 fires destroyed homes around Bargo, Balmoral and Buxton. After an event we test circuits, replace heat-damaged outdoor fittings and meter box parts, and write up findings for your insurer.
Over half of Bargo dwellings have four or more bedrooms. Where a home has been extended, we trace mixed old and new cabling, fix unsafe joins and bring extension circuits onto a protected board.
Bargo is a declared Mine Subsidence District, and in 2021 the ABC reported 143 properties could be affected by the Tahmoor Colliery expansion. If cracking appears, we test circuits and document any wiring damage.

Our licensed electricians know Bargo’s blend of older homes, rural outbuildings and newer family houses, and they test thoroughly before recommending any work on your property.

We look before pricing, then write one fixed figure. Running power to a shed on a big Bargo block and swapping lights in a Remembrance Drive shop are quoted on their own merits.

Bargo is about 15 kilometres south of Picton. With vans in Wollondilly most days, we can often get to a storm-damaged or tripping Bargo home before the day is out.

Bargo homeowners, local shops and rural landholders are among our 250+ customers, and many rang us after hearing about the crew from someone at the sportsground or along Remembrance Drive.

Every circuit we put in at Bargo carries a lifetime labour guarantee, whether it is a new board in a house near the station or a submain run out to a rural workshop.

Call with your address and whether the work is in the house, a shed or an outbuilding. On bigger Bargo blocks, mention gates, dogs or a long driveway before we arrive.

Our electrician inspects the board, the cable routes and any outdoor runs, then hands you a written fixed price for the Bargo job before a single wire is touched.

We come when we said we would. If a hold-up on the Hume Highway delays us, we ring ahead with a new arrival time so you are not left wondering.

We clean up inside and out, cart away offcuts and old fittings, and leave the compliance certificate with a short summary of what we altered at your Bargo property.

Spyro set up the business in 2017, and our five-plus licensed electricians now spend regular days out in Wollondilly. Bargo work is varied: residential electrical upgrades in older homes, new circuits for extensions, and power for sheds on larger lots. The town has lived through serious bushfire, so we take extra care with outdoor fittings and RCD protection. You deal with one electrician from the first quote to the final test.

Bargo has 89.2 per cent separate houses, many on blocks with sheds and outdoor circuits exposed to the weather. Owner-occupiers hold 34.1 per cent of homes outright, and boards in long-held homes are often missing full RCD coverage.

Every Bargo job comes with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work, as NSW law requires. On semi-rural blocks that covers submains to sheds and outdoor circuits, not just the house itself. When we change or replace a board, AS/NZS 3000 calls for RCD protection on the final subcircuits, and from 1 May 2023 Type AC units cannot go into new work, so ours are Type A or better.
Bargo customers get a written fixed price before anything begins. The difference between jobs can be large: adding a light in a single-storey house near the station might be simple, while laying buried cable across a wide block to a detached workshop involves trenching, cable sizing and many more hours. We check the site first, then settle on one figure.
Storm-damaged fittings, a shed that needs safe power, or an old board that keeps tripping at your Bargo place? Dial 02 8999 3691. A licensed electrician will inspect the job, put a fixed price in writing and guarantee the labour for life.
Bargo homeowners, rural landholders and Remembrance Drive businesses ask us these questions more than any others. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often, yes. We work 7am to 5:30pm on weekdays and 7am to 2pm on Saturdays, and our electricians are out in Wollondilly and Macarthur most days. Bargo is roughly 15 kilometres south of Picton, so calling 02 8999 3691 early helps us slot you in. Urgent faults like a burning smell, sparking or a board that will not reset get seen first.
We inspect first rather than quoting blind. A simple light swap in a Remembrance Drive shop is very different from running power across a large block to a shed or workshop. After seeing the work, we give you a fixed price in writing, and it only moves if you decide to add extra items.
Even if the house survived, heat and embers can damage outdoor fittings, meter boxes and cables on sheds and fences. Do not switch power back on to damaged areas. We test circuits, check the board and outdoor fittings, replace damaged parts and give you a written report for insurance. The December 2019 fires destroyed homes around Bargo, so this request comes up after every bad season.
If your neighbours are also without power, the outage is likely on the network, which here is looked after by Endeavour Energy on 131 003. If lines are down or there is fire, call 000 and stay well clear. If only your home is affected, turn off the main switch if it is safe, keep away from wet fittings, and do not keep resetting a safety switch that trips again. Then call us.
Yes. We run a submain from your house board to the shed, install a small board with RCD protection, and add lighting and weatherproof outlets. The cable size depends on distance and the equipment you plan to use. Underground runs need trenching to the correct depth, which we plan and price before starting.
Bargo is a declared Mine Subsidence District, and in 2021 the ABC reported that 143 properties could be affected by subsidence if the Tahmoor Colliery expansion went ahead. Ground movement mostly affects structures, but it can stress cables and fittings. If cracks and electrical faults show up together, we can test your circuits and document any damage.
Yes. The 2021 Census counted 3.0 per cent of Bargo dwellings as other types, such as caravans or cabins, well above the 0.7 per cent NSW figure. We install submains, boards, lighting and power for secondary dwellings and outbuildings, check that your main board can take the extra load, and upgrade it if needed. Council approval for the building itself sits with you.
Yes. Bargo households average 2.4 vehicles per dwelling, and most homes have a garage, carport or driveway. We confirm the spare capacity at your board, lay a dedicated circuit out to the car and fit the charger. If your board is old or full, the upgrade is itemised in the same written price.
Yes. We handle lighting, power, fault finding and emergency lighting for shops, clinics and small businesses along Remembrance Drive, plus workshops and farm buildings around town. Where you trade during the day, we plan noisy or shutdown work around your hours to keep disruption low.
That usually points to an old board or an overloaded circuit. Many older homes were wired with fewer circuits than a modern kitchen needs. We test the circuits, look for faults, and can add dedicated feeds for ovens, cooktops and dryers so the load is shared properly and the trips stop.
All of Bargo 2574, including Remembrance Drive, the railway station and viaduct, Bargo Sportsground, the old police station, Avon Dam Road and properties near Wirrimbirra Sanctuary and the Bargo River. We also work regularly in Tahmoor, Thirlmere, Picton, Wilton, Douglas Park, The Oaks and Appin.
