Running a Macquarie Street cafe, leasing a unit near Bigge Park or managing a block by the hospital? Liverpool addresses from Westfield down to Woodward Park and Liverpool Plaza can use our current promotion. Tell us it is the Liverpool deal when you call to lock it in.

Liverpool is Sydney’s apartment city of the south-west. The 2021 Census counted 65.0 per cent of dwellings as flats, 10.1 per cent as townhouses or semis and just 24.3 per cent as separate houses, with 52.9 per cent of homes having two bedrooms. Older walk-ups, towers near the station and scattered houses west of the CBD all need different fixes. We do unit switchboard upgrades, lighting, split system circuits and fault finding in blocks where the meter room belongs to strata.

Liverpool is the administrative centre of its council area, and the CBD was rezoned for mixed use in 2018. Macquarie Street carries cafes and shops, Westfield anchors the north end, and Liverpool Hospital draws medical suites nearby. We handle office and medical fit-outs, shop wiring, exit lighting and planned maintenance.

Same-day service covers every Liverpool 2170 street, CBD towers included. Urgent calls here are often strata-related: a unit with no power while the meter room is locked, dead stairwell lights, a Macquarie Street kitchen losing refrigeration mid-trade, or a burnt outlet in an older walk-up.
Renters are the biggest group in Liverpool, at 61.4 per cent of households, so much of our work is for landlords, agents and strata managers who need faults fixed and alarms kept legal. Owners of older two-bedroom units want boards replaced; businesses around Macquarie Street want circuits that can take another oven. As a Liverpool electrician we know which blocks have shared meter rooms and which buildings need a key from the manager.
The city centre is also changing fast. Since the 2018 rezoning, new towers and offices have gone up beside heritage buildings dating back to Macquarie’s 1810 plan. We wire tenancies, sort lighting in car parks and common areas, and run urgent electrical repairs for shops that cannot afford a dark afternoon. Liverpool is also a regular stop on our wider rounds across South-West Sydney.

Flats make up 65 per cent of Liverpool dwellings. We trace faults between lot and common property wiring, repair stair and car park lighting, and report findings in writing to the strata manager.
At 61.4 per cent, Liverpool's rental share is nearly double the NSW figure. We replace faulty hard-wired smoke alarms, check safety switches and provide dated records agents can file.
The main retail strip carries cafes and small stores. We add dedicated circuits for coffee machines and ovens, replace tired lighting with LED and install exit and emergency lights to code.
Liverpool dates from 1810, and the Courthouse, Old Liverpool Hospital and St Luke's are heritage listed. Where a business sits near historic fabric, we route cabling carefully and avoid visible damage.

Liverpool blocks of every age, from brick walk-ups to glass towers, are familiar to our licensed crew, who understand how shared meter rooms and rising mains are set up.

We quote after we look. A two-bedroom unit near the station and a house west of Woodward Park get separate written fixed figures, because access and cabling are so different.

When a Macquarie Street kitchen trips during trade or a unit loses power, we send someone the same day and work with the building manager to get access.

Our 250+ customers include Liverpool landlords, strata committees and shop owners, many of whom call us back for every new tenancy or fit-out.

Every job we do in Liverpool, from a single outlet in a rental to a full shop fit-out, is backed by a lifetime guarantee on our labour.

Call and tell us your building, unit number and how access works. For towers with concierge or intercom, we arrange keys and lift bookings before we arrive.

We inspect the unit or shop, check the board and meter room, explain the work in plain words and send a written fixed figure before anything begins.

CBD parking is tight around Macquarie Street and the hospital, so we plan loading zones or visitor bays and turn up inside the window we promised.

Dust sheets protect floors and common areas, rubbish leaves with us, and you get the compliance certificate plus a note the strata manager can file.

Liverpool has been part of our weekly rhythm almost since Spyro opened for business in 2017, and the crew he has built, now five-plus licensed electricians, knows its towers and shopfronts well. It is a city of units, rentals and small businesses, which suits the careful, well-documented way we work. We keep landlords compliant, help strata committees trace shared faults, and wire tenancies for new cafes and clinics near the hospital. Many Liverpool clients stay with us for years.

It’s Spyro. If your Liverpool unit has an old board, your block’s common lights keep failing, or your shop needs more power, my line is 02 8999 3691 and we can usually find a slot this week.

Liverpool’s CBD was rezoned for mixed use in 2018, and Liverpool Hospital, the second-largest hospital in NSW with up to 960 beds, sits at its edge. New offices, clinics and consulting rooms keep opening, and each tenancy needs power, data and lighting laid out for how it will be used.

A Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work is lodged after each Liverpool visit, as state law demands. In older unit blocks, changing a board means adding RCD protection to all final subcircuits under AS/NZS 3000. Type AC safety switches are no longer allowed in new installations from 1 May 2023, so we fit Type A or better, whether it is a flat near Bigge Park or a Macquarie Street shop.
We quote a fixed price once we have seen the job. In Liverpool the same request can mean very different work: a light in a newer tower unit is quick if the ceiling is accessible, while an older walk-up may need meter room access, building manager approval and new cabling through concrete. We explain the work and put the price in writing.
Old board in a Liverpool unit, common-area lights failing, or a new clinic near the hospital that needs wiring? Phone 02 8999 3691. We check the site in person, talk the job through and commit to one written number, then back the workmanship for as long as you own it.
What Liverpool tenants, owners, strata managers and shopkeepers most often want to know. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Usually. Our electricians are out from 7am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday plus a 7am to 2pm Saturday shift, and Liverpool’s CBD is central to our south-west runs. Call 02 8999 3691 early and we can often get there that day. If you have a burning smell, sparking or a shop without power, tell us so we can prioritise it.
We quote once we have seen the site. A power point in an accessible new unit and the same job in an older walk-up with concrete ceilings and a locked meter room involve very different labour. Once we have inspected, you receive a written fixed amount that stays put unless you add to the scope.
Common causes in Liverpool units are a faulty appliance, moisture in a balcony light or outlet, or too many heavy loads on one circuit. We test each circuit to find the one leaking to earth or overloading, then repair it. If the fault is in common property wiring, we let you and the strata manager know.
Usually, wiring from your own unit’s board into your rooms belongs to the lot owner, while main boards, meter rooms, lift and car park wiring, and common lighting are owners corporation property. Your strata plan and by-laws decide the details. With 65 per cent of Liverpool homes being flats, we check before starting and report to whoever pays.
Often, but strata approval comes first. We assess spare capacity at the main board, the cable path to your car space, and whether load management will be needed if other owners add chargers later. We can prepare information for the committee, then install once it is approved. Houses are simpler and usually need only a board check.
It can. Liverpool Courthouse on Bigge Street, the Old Liverpool Hospital on College Street and St Luke’s Anglican Church are all heritage listed. If your business is in or attached to a listed building, council approval may be needed for work that affects the fabric. We plan hidden cable routes and use existing penetrations where possible.
Not always. Liverpool recorded 45.8 degrees on 1 February 1977, and summer afternoons here run warmer than the city. Many older units have small boards with little spare capacity. We check the supply and board, then run a dedicated circuit for a split system. A ceiling fan is a cheaper option for bedrooms.
Three duties apply: an alarm that works on each storey, a two business day deadline once a tenant reports a fault, and a new unit once the old one turns ten. Hard-wired alarms must be installed by a licensed electrician. With 61.4 per cent of Liverpool homes rented, we do this for many agents and provide records.
Yes. We assess the existing supply, add dedicated circuits for ovens, fridges and coffee machines, install LED lighting and signage, and fit exit and emergency lights. We schedule noisy work and shutdowns around your trading hours, and coordinate with the landlord or centre management where required.
Yes on both counts. Whoever turns up at your Liverpool unit or shop holds a current NSW licence and insurance, and has been trained the way Spyro has run things since 2017. Workmanship on each job carries a lifetime labour guarantee, so if something we fitted near Bigge Park or on Macquarie Street misbehaves, we return and fix it.
