Raby deals are open now for the aircraft streets off Mustang Drive, Spitfire Drive and Sopwith Avenue, plus homes near Lake Burrendah Reserve and traders at the Raby Shopping Complex on Hurricane Drive. Mention the Raby offer on the phone and we mark it against your quote.

Raby is almost entirely freestanding homes: 92.3 per cent separate houses at the 2021 Census, against 65.6 per cent across NSW, and just 0.9 per cent flats. Private subdivisions began in the late 1970s and most streets were finished by the early 1990s, so many brick homes here now run boards and wiring 35 to 45 years old. We do switchboard upgrades, add circuits for kitchen refits and alfresco areas, swap tired halogens for LED downlights and trace faults in original cabling.

Commercial work in Raby centres on the Raby Shopping Complex near Hurricane Drive, with sports facilities at the Raby Sports Complex and two Robert Townson schools nearby. We handle shop and centre electrical work, lighting upgrades, extra power for fridges and equipment, and exit signage, booked around opening hours.

Raby gets same-day service from vans already working across Campbelltown. Typical urgent jobs here: an ageing ceramic fuse board that has started to smell hot, a whole-house outage caused by one faulty appliance tripping everything, and storm water finding its way into an outdoor light fitting.
Our Raby customers are mostly long-term owners: 31.2 per cent own outright and another 46.8 per cent are paying off a mortgage, so only one home in five is rented. Many bought during the first land releases around Mustang Drive, Sopwith Avenue and Spitfire Drive and are now renovating. As your Raby electrician we rewire kitchens, add power to garages converted into rumpus rooms and bring old boards up to date.
Families with teenagers at Robert Townson High School or kids playing cricket at the Raby Sports Complex tell us the same thing: the house was built for fewer gadgets. We add circuits for air conditioning and home offices, fit hard-wired alarms and respond with an urgent electrical callout when a fault will not wait. The same licensed team works across Kearns, Eschol Park, Eagle Vale and the rest of Macarthur.

The earliest Raby land releases sat between Mustang Drive, Sopwith Avenue and Spitfire Drive from 1978. We rewire rooms in these homes, add earthing where it is missing and replace worn switches and outlets.
With 41.9 per cent of Raby homes at four bedrooms or more, owners often open up living areas rather than move. We plan renovation wiring for induction cooktops, island benches and new lighting layouts.
The shopping complex near Hurricane Drive serves the whole suburb. We install lighting, dedicated circuits for refrigeration and cooking equipment, and emergency lighting, timing noisy work outside trading hours.
Alarms fitted when Raby homes were new are long past their ten-year life. We replace them with hard-wired smoke alarms, interconnect them where practical and cover every level and bedroom hallway.

Our licensed electricians have opened plenty of late-1970s and 1980s Raby homes and know where builders of that era ran cable through brick walls, roof spaces and garage ceilings.

We look first, then write down one fixed figure. A kitchen refit on Hurricane Drive and a board swap near Lake Burrendah Reserve get separate prices, because the work genuinely differs.

A burning smell or a board that will not reset gets moved to the front of our Campbelltown route, so Raby households are not left waiting until next week.

Many of our 250+ customers live in the aircraft-themed streets of Raby, and new jobs often come through a neighbour on Spitfire Drive or a parent at the local schools.

Every circuit we install in a Raby home or shop carries a lifetime labour guarantee, including rewiring hidden in walls and ceilings of original 1980s brick homes.

Call 02 8999 3691, give us your street and any access notes such as a side gate or a dog in the yard, then pick a time around school runs or cricket training.

After checking the board and the cable routes, we explain the job in plain terms and send a written fixed figure, so the invoice holds no surprises.

Raby is a short hop from our Campbelltown runs, so we keep the time slot we gave you and phone ahead if traffic on the way slows the van.

Drop sheets protect your floors, offcuts leave with us, every circuit gets tested, and you are handed the compliance certificate with a short list of what we changed.

Spyro founded the business in 2017 and it has grown to five-plus licensed electricians. Raby suits the way we work: solid brick homes from the 1970s to the 1990s that need thoughtful upgrades rather than guesswork. We spend a lot of time here swapping fuse boards, adding circuits for renovations and fitting smoke alarms, and the person who quotes your Raby job stays with it until it is signed off.

Spyro here. If your Raby home still has its original fuse board, or the kitchen trips every time the kettle and microwave run together, ring me on 02 8999 3691 and we will book a licensed electrician to take a look.

Most of Raby was built between the late 1970s and the early 1990s, so a large share of its nearly 1,800 separate houses still run boards from that era. Many have ceramic fuses or only one or two RCDs covering power circuits, which falls short of what current standards expect.

NSW requires a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work for every job, and each Raby visit gets one. In homes built 35 to 45 years ago, anything we disturb is either brought up to standard or flagged clearly in writing. Once a board is replaced or altered, AS/NZS 3000 expects residual current protection on each final subcircuit, and Type AC devices have been excluded from new work since 1 May 2023.
Raby quotes are fixed and written before work starts. Phone estimates miss too much here: adding lights in a single-storey brick home with an open roof space off Sopwith Avenue is quick, while the same fittings upstairs in a two-storey Raby home with a tight ceiling void take far longer. So we look first, then commit to one price.
Original fuse board, a kitchen renovation on the way, or a shop at the Raby Shopping Complex that needs better lighting? Ring 02 8999 3691. We will send a licensed electrician to Raby to inspect the job and give you a written fixed price, with lifetime labour cover.
Raby owners, parents, landlords and local shopkeepers bring us these questions most often. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often, yes. Our hours are 7am to 5:30pm on weekdays and 7am to 2pm on Saturdays, and we are closed Sundays. Raby sits right next to the Campbelltown streets our vans cover each day, so ringing 02 8999 3691 in the morning usually secures an afternoon visit. Hot switchgear, sparking outlets or a total loss of power are prioritised over routine bookings.
We set the price only after seeing the job. Two Raby homes built a decade apart can hide very different wiring, and a single-storey place with generous roof space is much easier to work in than a two-storey home with tight voids. After the inspection we give you one written fixed figure, and it stays put unless you add to the scope.
In most cases, yes. Homes from the first Raby releases around 1978 often kept their ceramic fuse panels, sometimes with one safety switch added later. Those boards give poor protection against electric shock and have little room for new circuits. We test the existing wiring, tell you what is sound, and quote a new board with RCD protection on every circuit.
Usually. Once cabinets and splashbacks come out, cable in the walls is exposed and cheap to replace, and new appliances such as induction cooktops and wall ovens need dedicated circuits. Many Raby kitchens date from the 1980s and were wired for far smaller loads. We work with your builder or cabinet maker so the rough-in happens at the right stage and nothing is chased twice.
Almost certainly not. Smoke alarms need replacing within ten years of the manufacture date, and alarms fitted when most Raby homes were built are decades old. We install new hard-wired units with battery backup, interconnect them so one sounding sets off the rest, and make sure each storey and each hallway leading to bedrooms is covered.
Yes. Raby averages 2.1 vehicles per dwelling, and with 92.3 per cent separate houses most families have a garage or driveway to charge from. We check whether your board has spare capacity, upgrade it if needed, and run a dedicated circuit with the right RCD protection to a wall-mounted charger. We can also plan for a second charger if both cars will go electric.
Yes, and it is one of our most common Raby jobs. Split systems and ducted units need their own circuits, and many original boards have no spare room. We assess the load, add dedicated circuits or upgrade the board, and install isolators at the outdoor units. We work with your air conditioning installer so the power is ready on the day they mount the system.
We do. The complex near Hurricane Drive serves most of Raby, and small food and convenience businesses there need reliable refrigeration circuits, good lighting and working emergency lights. We replace failed fittings, add power for new equipment, test data and phone points and keep exit signs compliant, scheduling disruptive work outside trading hours.
Yes to all three. Every electrician we send is licensed and insured, and the business has been operating since Spyro started it in 2017. Our five-plus electricians have finished 7,000+ projects, and labour on every Raby job is guaranteed for life. If a connection we made ever fails, we come back and fix it.
