Live in One Central Park, trade from a Kensington Street shopfront or sit on a strata committee at The Mark? Our limited-time Central Park deals also reach Chippendale Green, Spice Alley and the Brewery Yard. Bring up the deal when you ring to book and we apply it.

Central Park is a planned apartment precinct on the old Carlton & United brewery land, bought by Frasers Property in 2007 after the brewery shut in December 2006. The project delivered 1,426 apartments, so home here means a tower unit in buildings like One Central Park, finished in October 2013, or The Mark, completed in August 2014. Apartments in The Mark carry their own sub-meter and smart meter panel. Typical jobs: extra power points for a study corner, LED downlight swaps, oven circuits and chasing nuisance tripping inside your lot.

Below the towers sits Central Park Mall, anchored by Woolworths, plus offices, the Brewery Yard buildings and the restored terraces and warehouses of Kensington Street, now home to eateries around Spice Alley. Our commercial electrical work there covers tenancy lighting, kitchen circuits, signage feeds and exit light testing timed around trade.

Residents and tenants in the precinct get same-day service when a fault will not wait. Calls we see here: a kitchen circuit that drops as soon as the oven heats up, half an apartment without lights, a scorched balcony outlet, or a shop fridge losing supply before opening.
Our Central Park customers are mostly apartment owners, investors letting units to students from UTS across Broadway, and the managers who look after common areas. Owners ring us to add circuits for a home office, retire tired halogen fittings in favour of LEDs, or run a dedicated line for a new induction cooktop. Working as a Central Park electrician, we already know the routine of dock bookings, lift reservations and concierge sign-in.
Retail and hospitality make up the rest. A noodle bar off Kensington Street might need three new appliance circuits before a refit, while a mall tenancy may want brighter display lighting installed before trading starts. When something fails mid-service, our emergency electricians come across from nearby jobs throughout the City of Sydney and restore power safely.

The precinct holds 1,426 apartments in towers such as One Central Park and The Mark. We work on lot boards, label every circuit properly and tell you plainly which parts belong to the owners corporation.
Thirty-three heritage items from the brewery era were kept, including Kensington Street terraces and warehouses. We route new cabling through these adapted brick buildings without harming fabric that the heritage approvals protect.
Spice Alley and the laneway dining around Kensington Street squeeze hot kitchens into small footprints. We add dedicated appliance circuits, spread loads sensibly across phases and fit compliant exit lighting.
Apartments in The Mark each have a sub-meter and smart meter panel, and the building runs an on-site trigeneration plant. We work within that arrangement and never touch the network supply equipment.

Our licensed electricians work inside Central Park towers regularly and understand how lot boards, sub-meters and common property wiring divide between owner and owners corporation.

We look at your apartment or shop first, then send one written figure. A one-bedder in The Mark and a Kensington Street kitchen get separate quotes because the work differs.

When a unit near Chippendale Green loses a circuit, or a Brewery Yard venue trips before service, we reshuffle the day and send whichever licensed electrician is closest.

Our 250+ customers include tower residents, landlords letting to students and small food operators around Spice Alley, and many heard about us through their own building.

Labour on every job we finish in Central Park is guaranteed for life, from a single balcony outlet to a complete restaurant rewire inside a heritage warehouse.

Give us the building name, your lot number and the concierge or building manager contact. We book around loading dock times and lift access so the visit runs smoothly.

We inspect the lot switchboard and the route to the fitting, explain the scope plainly, then email a fixed figure for you to approve before anything is touched.

Parking around O’Connor Street and Broadway is tight, so we reserve the dock ahead and arrive in the agreed window, phoning first if traffic slows the van.

Floors and lift walls get protected, every offcut leaves with us, and you receive the compliance certificate plus notes to forward to your strata manager or agent.

Central Park delivered 1,426 apartments on the former brewery site, and most owners share risers, corridors and plant with dozens of neighbours. Knowing exactly where your responsibility stops matters as much as the repair itself.

Each job in Central Park finishes with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work lodged as NSW law requires, and a copy goes to you for the strata file. Where we replace or alter an apartment switchboard, AS/NZS 3000 obliges us to add RCD protection to the final subcircuits. Since 1 May 2023 Type AC safety switches cannot go into new work, so the tower boards we touch get Type A or better.
You get a fixed figure in writing once we have seen the job. Compare two local cases: a dedicated oven circuit in a newer tower unit with easy riser access, and rewiring a tenancy inside a heritage Kensington Street warehouse where brick walls and approval conditions slow every cable run. Access and hours differ enormously, so each gets its own quote rather than a guessed rate.
Need lighting, power or a cooking circuit sorted in your Central Park apartment, or a tenancy near Chippendale Green fitted out? Call 02 8999 3691. We book around your building’s access rules, confirm the price on paper and back our labour with a lifetime guarantee.
These are the questions Central Park apartment owners, tenants, building managers and Kensington Street operators put to us most. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often, yes. The team works 7am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 2pm on Saturday, with Sunday off. Ring 02 8999 3691 early and a same-day visit is usually possible, since we are in Chippendale and along Broadway most weeks. Mention any dock booking or concierge sign-in when you call so our electrician is not left waiting in the lobby.
We avoid pricing blind because properties here vary so much. A tower unit with an accessible ceiling void and a tenancy inside a converted brewery warehouse need very different labour. We visit, look at your board and the cable path, then send a fixed price in writing. You decide whether to proceed, and the number only moves if you ask us to add work.
Compact apartment kitchens often put the oven, cooktop and bench outlets on circuits sized for lighter loads, and a modern induction cooktop can push them past their limit. Moisture in a balcony outlet or a failing element inside an appliance can also trip a safety switch. We test each circuit, isolate the culprit and, where the board has space, run a dedicated appliance circuit so dinner no longer kills the power.
Generally the owners corporation looks after common property wiring such as corridor lighting, risers and the main switchroom, while you look after the wiring and fittings within your lot. By-laws differ between buildings, so we check the strata plan boundary before starting. If the fault turns out to sit on common property, we stop, document it and pass the details to your building manager.
Yes. The redevelopment kept 33 heritage items from the brewery era, including the Kensington Street terraces and warehouses now used for dining and retail. Work there needs a careful hand: we reuse existing conduit routes where possible, avoid chasing original brickwork, and confirm any approval conditions with your landlord or building manager before drilling anything.
That depends on your building. A charger in a shared basement usually needs owners corporation approval and a check of spare capacity on the car park supply. We can assess the relevant board, explain load management options to the committee in plain terms, and install the charger once the building signs off. We never work on network supply equipment.
Chippendale, the suburb Central Park sits in, had 76 per cent of homes rented at the 2021 Census, so this comes up constantly. NSW landlords must keep a working alarm on every level, repair a faulty one within two business days of notice, and replace alarms within ten years of manufacture. Hard-wired units must go in via a licensed electrician, and our smoke alarm service includes a dated record for your agent.
Yes. Food and retail tenancies here need lighting layouts, dedicated circuits for refrigeration and cooking, exit and emergency lighting, and data points for point of sale. Our fit-out electricians follow centre contractor rules, send insurance details to management in advance and schedule noisy tasks outside trading when the centre requires it.
Yes, at no extra charge when we are already on site for booked work. We trip-test the safety switches, check the board for heat marks or loose terminations and read the dates on your smoke alarms. Anything that needs attention is explained and quoted separately, so you choose what to do and when.
Every electrician on our team holds a NSW licence and is fully insured. Spyro founded the business in 2017, and we now have 5+ licensed electricians and 7,000+ projects behind us. Labour on each Central Park job carries a lifetime guarantee, and every job comes with its compliance certificate.
