Live off Kennedy Street, back onto the bush near Yeramba Lagoon, or run the tuckshop budget at Picnic Point Public School on Thomas Street? Our Picnic Point deals also reach The River Road and Henry Lawson Drive homes. Mention this offer when you book and it comes off your invoice.

Big family houses dominate 2213. The 2021 Census recorded 75.4 per cent of dwellings as separate houses, 24.0 per cent as semis or townhouses and only seven flats, while 55.5 per cent of homes had four or more bedrooms. Those large floor plans, and the paired duplexes now sharing blocks with older brick houses, lean hard on their boards. We do full and partial rewires, extra circuits for home offices and alfresco kitchens, and new lighting through open upstairs living areas.

Picnic Point is almost entirely residential, with two government schools, sporting clubs and a Transgrid substation on the old RAAF receiving station site. Our commercial electrical work here centres on small operators run from home: home clinics, trades yards in garages and studios above double garages.

When a Picnic Point circuit fails, our same-day service can usually get a licensed electrician to Kennedy Street or the Carinya Road end within hours. Typical urgent calls: a garage sub-board dead after a storm across the river, a pool pump circuit tripping, or kitchen power cut mid-dinner.
Owners run the show in Picnic Point. Of the dwellings the Census counted, 40.3 per cent are owned outright and 43.4 per cent carry a mortgage, and 55.6 per cent of families are couples with kids at home. That means we mostly meet parents extending the back of a brick house, retirees tidying up an ageing board, and duplex builders who need every circuit signed off. As your Picnic Point electrician we also handle granny flat supplies and garage workshops.
The river shapes a lot of our work. Streets that dead-end at the Georges River National Park, such as Doris Street or Freda Street, sit under tall gums that bring down branches in summer squalls. When that knocks out a circuit or leaves a charred fitting, call us for an emergency electrician. We cover this corner of St George and Canterbury-Bankstown every week.

More than half of Picnic Point homes have four or more bedrooms. Extra split systems, study nooks and rumpus rooms each get their own circuit, so one overloaded run is not powering half the house.
About a quarter of 2213 dwellings are semis or townhouses, many replacing older single houses. We handle rough-in, separate metering positions, fit-off and paperwork for owner builders and small developers.
Houses backing onto Georges River National Park and the Yeramba Lagoon bushland sit beside big eucalypts. Fallen limbs damage outdoor lights, garage feeds and consumer mains on the owner's side of the pole.
With 2.2 vehicles per dwelling, garages here double as workshops and gyms. We install sub-boards, dedicated shed circuits, pump and heater supplies, and weatherproof outlets for backyard entertaining.

Our licensed crew knows how Picnic Point brick homes were wired when the suburb split from East Hills, and how the double-storey rebuilds differ, and we work to AS/NZS 3000 on both.

A granny flat behind a Thomas Street house and a brand new duplex need very different work, so we inspect first and put one fixed amount in writing.

Storm damage from overhanging gums near Yeramba Lagoon or a dead circuit in a busy family kitchen gets prioritised, and we tell you honestly when a van can reach Picnic Point.

Picnic Point parents, riverside retirees and small duplex builders are well represented among the 250+ customers who have rated us after a job.

Our labour on anything we wire in a Picnic Point home, whether a garage workshop feed or an alfresco lighting circuit, stays guaranteed for as long as you own it.

Ring or book online with your street and whether we should use the driveway, side gate or rear lane. We fit around school pick-up on Kennedy Street and your work roster.

Once we have checked your board, meter box and roof space, the job is explained in plain words and you receive a written price that holds unless you add work.

Picnic Point driveways make parking easy, so our electrician arrives inside the agreed window. If Henry Lawson Drive traffic slows us, you get a call before the window passes.

Plaster dust is vacuumed, old fittings and offcuts go in our van, every circuit is tested, and your compliance paperwork is handed over before we head back up Picnic Point Road.

Back in 2017 Spyro began with one van; today five-plus licensed electricians carry his name around Sydney, and Picnic Point is one of the Georges River suburbs we visit often. Families here want tradespeople who arrive when promised, explain the fault simply and respect a home kept for decades. From a pool pump feed off Lambeth Street to a full rewire of a brick house near the national park, a single electrician owns your job start to end.

Spyro here. If your Picnic Point switchboard is as old as the house, or a duplex is waiting on fit-off, ring 02 8999 3691 and one of my licensed team will come round and assess it.

The average Picnic Point dwelling has 3.7 bedrooms and the household runs 2.2 vehicles, so demand on the meter box keeps climbing. Many houses near Kennedy Street still rely on boards installed when the suburb was gazetted in 1975, or earlier.

Riverside homes in 2213 often carry circuits added over decades by several different hands. So on every Picnic Point visit we test what we touch, correct it or note it for you, and file the CCEW that NSW law demands once work wraps up. A board swap or alteration triggers the AS/NZS 3000 rule putting RCDs on each final subcircuit, and we never fit the Type AC variety, banned from new installations from 1 May 2023.
Nothing starts until you hold a written fixed figure. A phone guess would be unfair here: adding downlights to a single-storey brick house with open roof space is a quick crawl, while the same job in a double-storey duplex means cutting in between floors. We look first, then commit to one price that stays put.
Tripping board in a Lambeth Street family home, a duplex waiting on fit-off, or storm damage from a bushland gum? Phone 02 8999 3691. A licensed electrician inspects on site, writes up a fixed figure and guarantees the labour for life.
Picnic Point families, retirees and duplex builders ask us the following most often. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often the same day. Vans leave at 7am on weekdays and finish at 5:30pm, with Saturday cover from 7am to 2pm, and Revesby and Panania sit on our regular runs. Ring 02 8999 3691 before lunch for the best chance of an afternoon slot. A scorched outlet, a smell of hot plastic or a main switch refusing to latch moves you ahead of routine bookings.
We inspect before quoting. In Picnic Point two jobs that sound alike can differ a lot: a brick house with a low roof and tight eaves takes more time than a recent duplex with a clear cavity. Once we have seen it you receive one written figure, which moves only when you request additional work.
It can be. More than half the homes in 2213 have four or more bedrooms, and extensions often hang several new rooms off one or two old circuits. Signs of strain include warm breakers, lights dimming when air conditioners start and nuisance tripping. We measure the load, check the earthing and tell you whether extra circuits or a new board is the sensible fix.
Tall eucalypts along the Georges River foreshore drop limbs in strong wind, and that can crush outdoor lights, garden cabling or the feed to a detached garage. Keep clear of anything damaged and turn off the main switch if it is safe to reach. We repair the private side of the installation; anything on the street pole side is for Ausgrid on 13 13 88.
Yes. Nearly a quarter of Picnic Point dwellings are semis or townhouses, and we handle the full electrical package: temporary builders supply arrangements with your builder, rough-in once the frame is up, fit-off after plastering, smoke alarms, testing and the compliance certificate. We coordinate with your builder so cabling is in before insulation and sheeting close off the walls.
Usually. Big blocks in Picnic Point suit secondary dwellings, and the key question is whether the existing supply can carry a second kitchen, laundry and air conditioner. We assess the main board, run a properly sized submain in conduit, install a sub-board in the flat with its own RCDs and lodge the paperwork.
We do. With 2.2 vehicles per dwelling recorded in the Census, most homes here have a double garage or long driveway that suits a wall charger. We check how much spare capacity your board has, run a dedicated circuit, fit the unit and set up load management if the house already draws heavily in the evening.
Yes. Backyard entertaining is a big part of life on these large blocks. We run separate circuits for pumps, heaters and chlorinators, add weatherproof power points near the barbecue and fit outdoor lighting, all RCD protected and rated for wet areas.
Frequently. Many Picnic Point houses still have single batten fittings in each room. We replace them with LED downlights, add dimmers and two-way switching on stairs and hallways, and install ceiling fans in bedrooms, working around existing insulation and roof framing.
All of Picnic Point 2213, including Kennedy Street, Thomas Street, Picnic Point Road, Henry Lawson Drive, The River Road, Lambeth Street, Ramsay Road, Carinya Road and the homes near Yeramba Lagoon and the boat ramp. We also cover Panania, East Hills, Revesby Heights, Revesby, Milperra, Padstow Heights and Padstow, plus Sandy Point and Illawong across the river.
