Own a unit off Peninsula Drive, a townhouse near the Village Green or a shop in the little town centre facing the Palace Hotel? Our seasonal Breakfast Point deals also reach Silkstone Park, Fairwater Close and Hunter’s Wharf residents. Say you saw the peninsula promotion as you book, and we apply it to your written quote.

The old AGL gasworks peninsula is now almost entirely apartments. Census 2021 put flats at 91.4 per cent of occupied dwellings, with detached homes at 4.4 per cent and townhouses or terraces at 4.1 per cent. Most blocks went up after Rosecorp won the site in 1998, so the wiring is modern but the boards are often crowded. Owners ask us for LED downlight swaps, extra double outlets in study nooks and dedicated circuits for induction cooking in two-bedroom units, which make up 44.3 per cent of homes here.

Commerce here is small and concentrated: an IGA, a cafe, a pizzeria, a hairdresser, a day spa and a dental surgery in the town centre on Tennyson Road. The Country Club, admin building and community hall add pool plant, gym equipment and function lighting. We handle shop and facility maintenance planned around trading and booking times.

Our same-day service stretches across the gasworks peninsula, from Hunter’s Wharf round to the Cabarita side. Typical urgent jobs on these blocks: a unit board that keeps tripping after an oven swap, a storage-cage outlet dead in the basement, or a smoke alarm chirping above a high ceiling.
Owner-occupiers dominate our work on this peninsula, and many are downsizers: the median age in the 2021 count was 47, and 35.4 per cent of homes were owned without a loan. They want brighter kitchens, quieter bathroom fans and a proper outlet for a car charger in the garage. Investors make up much of the rest, since 36.0 per cent of dwellings were leased, and they call their Breakfast Point electrician before each new tenant moves in.
We also deal with the estate itself. Strata committees meet in the old gasworks administration building, and PICA Group runs facilities for the Community Association, so we agree access, isolation times and paperwork before touching any shared riser. A lift lobby light out on Village Drive, a tripped circuit in the lagoon pool plant or an urgent power loss in a Palm Avenue unit are all routine calls for us across the Inner West.

With 91.4 per cent of homes in apartment blocks, most jobs start at a compact unit board. We add RCD protection where missing and keep lot circuits separate from common supply.
The small share of houses and townhouses near Village Drive have their own meters and garages. We extend circuits for alfresco areas, laundries and garage workshops without disturbing rendered facades.
The heritage-listed administration building from the AGL gasworks era now hosts community meetings. Older masonry like this needs cabling routed with care, and we plan that work with the estate managers.
Just over a third of dwellings are rented. Investors ask us to test smoke alarms, check RCD trip times and swap tired light fittings in the short gap before new occupants collect keys.

Our licensed people have worked through the late-1990s to 2021 building stages on the old Mortlake gasworks land, including which riser cupboards and meter rooms each block uses.

A quick look at your unit board comes first, then a written sum that stays put. Swapping lights in a Peninsula Drive flat and wiring a Vineyard Way garage get separate quotes.

If your Orchards Avenue apartment loses half its circuits or the kitchen outlet starts sparking, we shuffle our day so a van reaches the peninsula quickly.

Plenty of our 250+ customers live on this estate or nearby in Cabarita and Mortlake, and word travels fast through strata meetings at the country club.

Labour on every job we complete on the peninsula carries a lifetime guarantee, whether it is a new kitchen circuit on Magnolia Drive or lighting in a strata foyer.

Tell us your building name, unit number and how the concierge or building manager handles tradie access. We pick a slot that suits you and fits any lift booking rules.

Our electrician reviews the board, the ceiling void and the strata by-laws, then emails a single agreed figure. You approve it before a single cable is pulled.

Visitor bays are limited around Breakfast Point Boulevard, so we plan parking in advance and arrive within the agreed window, or phone early if traffic on the way holds us up.

We protect lift walls and timber floors, take every scrap of packaging away and leave your compliance certificate, plus a note for the strata file if common property was involved.

Spyro opened the doors in 2017; today the team counts five-plus licensed electricians, several of whom spend a good part of each week along the Parramatta River foreshore. Breakfast Point suits our habits: careful work inside lived-in apartments, clear communication with building managers and neat records for strata. From a single dimmer in a Rosewater Circuit flat to rewiring a whole kitchen, the tradesperson who quotes the job is the one who returns to finish it.

Households on the peninsula averaged 1.6 motor vehicles per dwelling in 2021, well above what you might expect for an estate where 91.4 per cent of homes are flats. Most of those cars sit in basement bays, so charger requests here nearly always involve strata approval and shared supply.

Every task we finish on the peninsula, even a single outlet, earns its own Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work, which NSW law obliges us to issue. Newer blocks mostly have sound cabling, yet we still find boards missing RCDs on some circuits after owners renovated. When a board is replaced or altered, AS/NZS 3000 requires residual current protection across the final subcircuits, and we fit Type A devices since the Type AC kind was ruled out of fresh installations on 1 May 2023.
You get a firm price on paper after we have seen the job. Two homes on this estate can differ a lot: adding pendant lights in a Fairwater Close apartment with an open ceiling void is quick, while running a new circuit to a townhouse garage beside the Village Green can mean lifting cornices and cutting into render. We inspect, explain, then commit to that written number.
Planning a kitchen refresh in your Peninsula Drive unit, a charger for the basement bay or brighter lighting in a strata lobby? Ring 02 8999 3691. A licensed electrician will look at it on site and put a set figure in writing, and every hour of our labour on your job is guaranteed for good.
Apartment owners, strata committee members, investors and town centre shopkeepers on the peninsula keep putting these points to us. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often we can. Weekday bookings span 7am until 5:30pm, Saturdays 7am until 2pm, and we rest on Sundays. The peninsula is a short run from Concord and Burwood, where we work daily. A call before mid-morning gives the best odds of a same-afternoon slot, and mention it if something smells hot or a breaker will not reset, because those calls move ahead of routine bookings.
We look at the job before naming a figure. Access varies from block to block here: some units have deep ceiling voids and easy riser cupboards, others have concrete slabs above and surface conduit is the only way. After the site visit you receive a written fixed price. That figure holds unless you decide to add something, and any addition is priced and agreed with you before we do it.
In most strata schemes the wiring from your unit board into your rooms belongs to your lot, while mains in risers, lobby lighting and car park circuits are common property. We trace the fault, tell you plainly which side it sits on, and if it is common property we contact the building manager so the owners corporation can authorise the repair. That saves you paying for something the scheme should cover.
Usually, yes, with the owners corporation on board. We check the building main switchboard for spare capacity, work out how the charger will be metered to your lot, and prepare the documents your committee needs. Once approved, we install and test the unit and lodge the compliance certificate. Cars per household here average 1.6, so many committees are now planning for several chargers.
It can. Breakfast Point has a community association sitting above the individual strata plans, with estate managers looking after shared facilities. For work inside your own lot you normally only need your building manager. Anything touching shared areas, landscaping lighting or the club facilities goes through the relevant committee, and we help by supplying clear scope and product details for their meeting.
Not always. Boards from the early stages of the estate were built to the rules of their day, and some only protect power circuits with RCDs, leaving lighting unprotected. If you are renovating, adding an induction cooktop or plan to sell, we can test the board and tell you honestly whether an upgrade is needed or whether a couple of extra safety switches will do.
Under NSW tenancy law each level of the home needs a working alarm, a faulty one must be fixed inside two business days of notice, and units need swapping within ten years of the manufacture date. Hard-wired alarms must be fitted by a licensed electrician. With about 36 per cent of homes here rented, we often do checks during the short break between leases and leave a dated record for your managing agent.
Yes. The townhouses and freestanding homes around Village Drive often have courtyards or small alfresco spaces with a single light. We add weatherproof outlets, garden and step lighting, and circuits for outdoor heaters or ceiling fans, taking care with rendered walls and checking any community association rules about external fittings before we start.
We do. Small businesses opposite the Palace Hotel on Tennyson Road call us for lighting repairs, new outlets behind counters, fridge and coffee machine circuits, and emergency and exit light testing. We plan any shutdowns around opening hours so the shop is not left dark during trade.
All of postcode 2137 on the peninsula, including Peninsula Drive, Village Drive, Magnolia Drive, Rosewater Circuit, Vineyard Way, Palm Avenue, Orchards Avenue, Fairwater Close, Breakfast Point Boulevard and the Hunter’s Wharf blocks. We also work next door in Mortlake, Cabarita, Concord and Abbotsford, and across Canada Bay, Five Dock, Russell Lea, Chiswick and Concord West.
