Whether your home backs onto Berowra Valley bushland, sits on Eucalyptus Drive or is a short walk from Ruddock Park, our Westleigh offers apply. They also cover Quarter Sessions Road, Gum Blossom Drive and the Oakleigh Oval streets. Mention the deal when you call and we will note it on your quote.

Westleigh is almost entirely family houses. The 2021 Census counted 96.9 per cent separate homes and 72.3 per cent with four or more bedrooms, averaging 3.9 bedrooms each. Building began in 1967 on the south side, and the north side was subdivided in 1974 with homes rising from 1977. Wiring from those decades now meets pool pumps, ducted air and home offices, so we upgrade original switchboards, add circuits and replace tired fittings throughout.

Commercial life in Westleigh centres on the Westleigh Village Shopping Centre on the south side, alongside a bottle shop, day-care centre, dentist and service station. We look after lighting, power and fault finding for these small tenancies, plus shop maintenance booked outside their busiest hours.

We offer same-day service right across Westleigh, from the Quarter Sessions Road loop in the north to the village shops in the south. Common urgent jobs: storm-damaged outdoor circuits on bush-edge blocks, pool equipment tripping the board, and a 1970s board that will not reset.
Westleigh households are settled. Some 92 per cent of homes are owned outright or with a mortgage, and the median age is 45, so our jobs tend to be long-term improvements rather than quick fixes between tenants. Owners ask us to replace the board that came with the house, add lighting to outdoor decks facing the bush, wire kitchens during renovations and plan chargers for the family’s two cars. As a Westleigh electrician we also get calls from retirees who want safer lighting on stairs and paths.
The suburb splits at the bushland break on Quarter Sessions Road, and each side has its own era. The older south side dates from 1967, while the north side is newer, built from 1977. When storms bring trees down near Elouera Bushland or the national park edge, we handle urgent storm faults here and elsewhere in the Northern Suburbs.

Westleigh homes went up between 1967 and the early 1980s, and some still use the boards they were built with. We replace them with modern boards that have RCD protection and room for new circuits.
Bushland wraps most of the suburb outside the south side, with Berowra Valley National Park to the west. We repair storm-damaged outdoor wiring and make circuits safe after falling limbs hit homes.
Large blocks mean pools, decks and backyard studios. We run protected outdoor circuits, weatherproof outlets and garden and deck lighting, and give pool pump and heater supply its own dedicated circuit.
Almost three quarters of Westleigh homes have four or more bedrooms. When families update kitchens, bathrooms or rumpus rooms, we plan new circuits, move outlets and add ceiling fans to suit the new layout.

Our licensed team knows Westleigh housing from both building waves, the 1967 estates around Eucalyptus Drive and the late-1970s homes on the north side, and plans every job around them.

A single-level home on the south side and a large two-storey house backing onto bushland get separate written figures after we look, because roof access and cable runs differ.

When a storm drops branches onto outdoor wiring near Berowra Valley or a pool circuit trips the board, we move our schedule so an electrician can reach Westleigh quickly.

Westleigh families and retirees are among our 250+ customers, and a good share found us through a neighbour met at Ruddock Park or the village shops.

Every circuit we run in Westleigh is covered by lifetime labour, whether it feeds a deck light facing the Great North Walk or a new board in a 1970s garage.

Give us your street and let us know about steep driveways, gates or dogs. We then book a slot around school pickups, sport at Oakleigh Oval or your working week.

After inspecting the board and roof space, we explain the options in plain English and send a single fixed figure in writing before starting any work.

Westleigh streets are quiet but winding, and we know the loop roads well. We arrive within the agreed window and ring ahead if a job elsewhere runs over.

We vacuum ceiling dust, take all offcuts away and leave your Westleigh home clean. You receive the compliance certificate and a short note on each change.

The business began with Spyro in 2017, and it now has five-plus licensed electricians. Westleigh is a suburb where people stay put, which suits our approach: do the job right the first time and be there when the next job comes up. We have upgraded boards from the original estates, wired renovations on both sides of Quarter Sessions Road and fitted outdoor lighting beside the bush, always with the same crew seeing it through.

Spyro here. If your Westleigh home still runs on the switchboard it was built with, or your pool pump keeps tripping the power, call me on 02 8999 3691 and I will send an electrician to check it properly.

Westleigh was built out between 1967 and the early 1980s, and 96.9 per cent of its homes are separate houses averaging 3.9 bedrooms. Boards installed in that era were sized for far lighter loads than today’s pools, ducted air, home offices and electric vehicles.

NSW requires a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work for every job, and we lodge one after each Westleigh visit. Where a 1970s board is changed or altered, AS/NZS 3000 calls for RCD protection across all final subcircuits, which suits homes with pools and outdoor power. Since 1 May 2023, Type AC safety switches have not been allowed in new installations, so Type A or better goes in.
We see the job before we name a figure, then confirm it in writing. In Westleigh the variation is real: new lights in a single-level house on the south side can be simple, while the same work in a two-storey home on a sloping bush block with a tight roof space takes longer and needs more care. One firm number, agreed first, avoids surprises.
Original switchboard in your Westleigh home, a pool circuit that trips, or storm damage near the bushland edge? Call 02 8999 3691 and one of our licensed electricians will inspect, provide a fixed written figure and back the labour with a lifetime guarantee.
Westleigh homeowners, retirees and renovating families ask us these questions most often. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often, yes. We work 7am to 5:30pm on weekdays and 7am to 2pm on Saturdays, and Westleigh sits close to the Pennant Hills and Thornleigh routes our vans use each week. Call 02 8999 3691 in the morning and we can usually attend later that day. Sparks, heat or a board that will not reset are handled first.
After an inspection we give you a fixed figure in writing. Westleigh homes vary more than they look from the street: a single-storey 1960s house on flat ground is quick to work in, while a split-level home on a bush block may need longer cable runs and careful roof access. The written figure stays put unless you ask for extra work.
It may work, but it was designed for far less load. Many boards from the late 1960s and 1970s have ceramic fuses or only partial RCD cover, and today’s pools, air conditioning and chargers stretch them. We test the existing circuits, look at the enclosure and cabling, and explain whether a replacement is needed now or can wait.
Yes. Most of Westleigh outside the south side is surrounded by bush, which at times brings real bushfire danger, and storms bring down limbs. Keep outdoor circuits on RCD protection, use weatherproof fittings and make sure your main switch is easy to reach. If a branch damages wiring, keep clear and call us. For fallen lines or fire, call 000.
We can. Large Westleigh blocks often include pools, spas and outdoor entertaining areas. We run a dedicated circuit for the pump, filter and heater, fit weatherproof isolators and outlets, and keep everything on RCD protection. We can also add low-glare garden and path lighting so the yard is usable in the evening.
Yes. Westleigh averages 2.1 vehicles per dwelling, and with 96.9 per cent of homes being separate houses, most have space for a charger. We check spare capacity at the board, run a dedicated circuit and mount the charger where the cable reaches easily. If the board is too old or full, we can upgrade it at the same visit.
Yes. More than one in five Westleigh residents is 65 or older. We add brighter LED lighting on stairs and hallways, sensor lights along paths and driveways, and power points at a height that avoids bending. A board upgrade with full RCD protection also gives an extra layer of safety for older occupants.
Regularly. Many Westleigh homes are getting their first major update since they were built. We plan circuits for induction cooktops, wall ovens and dishwashers, add bathroom exhaust and heated towel rails, and relocate outlets to fit the new layout. We coordinate timing with your builder so walls are open only as long as needed.
Yes. The Westleigh Village Shopping Centre and nearby businesses such as the service station, day-care centre and dental practice need reliable lighting and power. We handle fault finding, LED upgrades, exit and emergency lighting checks and extra circuits, and we can book the work early to suit trading.
Yes to both. Every electrician on our team is licensed and insured, and the business has run under founder Spyro since 2017. Labour on every Westleigh job carries a lifetime guarantee, so if our workmanship ever fails, we return and put it right.
