Our limited-run specials now reach North Turramurra, covering homes along Bobbin Head Road, businesses in the local shopping village, and streets near Ku-ring-gai High and Turramurra North Public School. Say you saw the special when you phone and we will apply it.

North Turramurra sits on a narrow spur between Lovers Jump Creek and Cowan Creek, with Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park on its northern edge. The 2021 Census recorded 70.8 per cent separate houses, 22.1 per cent flats and 44.5 per cent of homes with four or more bedrooms. Owners here are settled: 54.3 per cent own outright. We upgrade ageing boards, improve lighting for older residents, fit hard-wired smoke alarms and protect outdoor wiring on bush-edge blocks.

Commercial activity is compact: the Bobbin Head Road shopping village has a supermarket, bakery, vet, restaurants, post office and medical services. Larger sites include Lady Davidson Private Hospital and the North Turramurra Residential Aged Care home. We maintain shop circuits, replace lighting, and help care facilities with emergency and exit lighting.

Our same-day service runs along the whole North Turramurra ridge, from Burns Road up Bobbin Head Road to the Chase gates. Storms here bring fallen limbs onto outdoor cables, water through roof penetrations and safety switches tripping repeatedly, all of which we handle quickly.
North Turramurra has an older population than almost anywhere else we work. The median age in 2021 was 56, and 41 per cent of residents were 65 or over, partly because of aged care on the ridge. Our jobs reflect that: brighter and safer lighting in hallways and stairs, extra power points so leads are not stretched across floors, and alarms that are easy to test. As a North Turramurra electrician we also do plenty of board upgrades in 1960s and 1970s houses.
The bush setting is the other big factor. Heavy rain is common, with 180mm falling in a single day in February 2010, and wallabies and possums share the gardens. When a storm drops a branch onto a service cable inside your property or leaves the house dark, we attend as an emergency electrician and make the wiring safe. It is the most bush-bound corner of our the North Shore work.

The suburb sits on a spur between two creek valleys that face bushfire threat each summer. We fit sealed outdoor fittings, protect exposed cable and check circuits after storms bring down branches.
With a median age of 56, many residents want safer homes. We add hallway and stair lighting, extra power points to remove extension leads, and easy-test hard-wired smoke alarms.
Lady Davidson Private Hospital and the North Turramurra Residential Aged Care home are local landmarks. We support such sites with lighting, power and emergency fitting checks planned around residents.
The local shopping village holds a supermarket, bakery, vet and restaurants. We add circuits for new equipment, replace lighting and keep refrigeration supply dependable during trading.

Our licensed team is used to ridge-top houses off Bobbin Head Road, where the board often hangs in a carport and cables snake through long, low roof cavities.

We look over every job before pricing it. A unit near the shopping village and a house backing onto Ku-ring-gai Chase each receive a separate written quote with a fixed total.

When storms bring down branches or a safety switch will not stay on in a North Turramurra home, we move you forward in our schedule and keep you updated on timing.

Among our 250+ customers are North Turramurra retirees and families who found us through neighbours, a family member helping out, or staff at local care homes.

Work we do on the ridge carries a lifetime labour guarantee, so an older owner who books a rewire or new board here will not face a labour bill for that same work again.

Book a visit at a time that suits you or the family member helping out. Tell us about steps, gates or pets, and whether anyone at home needs extra time to answer the door.

We explain the job at your kitchen table, without jargon, and follow up with a written fixed price. Nothing is added unless you ask for extra work.

Our electrician arrives within the agreed window, having driven up from Turramurra station way. If we are delayed on the Pacific Highway, we phone you first.

We cover carpets, clear away offcuts and packaging, and walk you through the finished work, leaving your compliance certificate and a simple note of what was changed.

North Turramurra’s heavily forested valleys face bushfire threat every summer, and heavy downpours are part of life here, with 231.9mm the average February rainfall. Damp, storms and wildlife all test outdoor wiring, so RCD protection matters more than usual.

NSW law requires a CCEW after every job, so each North Turramurra visit finishes with one. Many houses on the ridge were built decades ago and later extended, so we often find old circuits without residual current protection; that gets fixed or noted in writing. Under AS/NZS 3000, a new or altered board needs RCD coverage on all final subcircuits, and Type AC devices have been off limits for new work since 1 May 2023.
In North Turramurra we quote a fixed figure in writing after seeing the work. The difference between properties is real: adding a light in a single-level unit near the shops is quick, while running a feed to a shed at the bottom of a steep bush block above Lovers Jump Creek takes careful trenching and more hours. Inspecting first avoids surprises.
Safety switch tripping after every storm, an old fuse board in your North Turramurra home, or lighting that needs to be safer for ageing parents? Phone 02 8999 3691. A licensed electrician will come out, give you one written fixed figure and guarantee the labour for life.
North Turramurra retirees, families, adult children helping parents and village shop owners often ask us these questions. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
In many cases, yes. The team works 7am to 5:30pm through the week and 7am to 2pm on Saturday, and is closed Sunday. North Turramurra is a short run from the Pacific Highway, so phoning 02 8999 3691 before mid-morning usually gets you a same-day slot. Loss of power, a hot or buzzing board or storm damage to wiring is prioritised.
We do not guess prices over the phone. A light fitting swap in a unit near the Bobbin Head Road shops and a new circuit to a shed on a sloping bush block are very different jobs. After a visit, you get one fixed written price. It stays the same unless you ask us to change or add to the work.
Usually water is getting into something outside: a garden light, an external power point, a pool circuit or cable damaged by roots or animals. On bush-edge blocks this is common. Repeated resetting is not the answer. We isolate each circuit, find where the leakage is coming from, repair or replace it and confirm the switch holds.
Good lighting in hallways, stairs and bathrooms, switches at both ends of corridors, and power points at a height that avoids bending. Many families also ask us to replace extension leads with fixed outlets and install hard-wired, interconnected smoke alarms so one alarm sets off all of them. We explain options simply and can speak with a family member who is helping.
It can. The valleys around the suburb are heavily forested and face bushfire risk, and storms regularly bring down limbs. Possums and rats in roof spaces also chew cable. We check roof wiring for damage, use sealed fittings outdoors, protect exposed runs in conduit and make sure outdoor circuits have RCD protection.
Yes. We supply and fit hard-wired alarms with battery backup, interconnected where the layout suits, in hallways near bedrooms and on each level. For older residents we can position them so testing is easier and choose models with longer-life backup cells. We also offer smoke alarm testing for homes with existing hard-wired units.
Yes. Many North Turramurra homes still have ceramic fuses or boards with only one or two safety switches. We replace them with modern boards that give RCD protection to every final subcircuit, labelled clearly so anyone in the family can find the right breaker. The job is usually completed in a day, with power restored before we leave.
Yes. Many blocks here fall toward the creeks, so sheds, studios and workshops often sit well below the house. We size the cable for the load and distance, choose a trench route that avoids roots and stormwater, and fit a small sub-board with its own protection where needed.
We do. The Bobbin Head Road village has a supermarket, bakery, vet, restaurants and medical services, all of which rely on steady power. We provide commercial electrical repairs and maintenance, add circuits for new equipment and check emergency and exit lighting, scheduling noisy work around opening hours.
All of North Turramurra 2074, including Bobbin Head Road, the shopping village, Burns Road, the Lady Davidson and aged care precinct, Turramurra North Public School, Ku-ring-gai High and streets down toward Lovers Jump Creek and Cowan Creek. We also regularly work in Warrawee, Wahroonga, St Ives, Waitara, East Killara, Terrey Hills and Westleigh.
