Running a Rowe Street restaurant, leasing a unit near the station or restoring a bungalow off Shaftsbury Road? Eastwood’s current specials also reach Progress Avenue, Hillview Road and streets around Eastwood Park. Name this special on the phone and we knock it off your quoted figure.

Eastwood housing is a genuine mix. The 2021 Census recorded 52.8 per cent separate houses, 17.9 per cent townhouses and villas, and 28.2 per cent flats, compared with 21.7 per cent flats across NSW. Federation homes and California bungalows cluster near the station, postwar houses spread north of Terry Road, and newer apartment blocks rise around the town centre. We rewire those older homes, fit modern switchboards, and sort power and lighting faults in strata complexes and the consolidated estate on the old brickworks site in Midson Road.

The Rowe Street mall, Eastwood Shopping Centre and Eastwood Village on Progress Avenue form one of the north-west’s busiest Asian food and grocery precincts. We handle kitchen circuits, refrigeration supply, shop fit-outs, signage and emergency lighting, working before opening so trading carries on.

Our same-day service covers Eastwood on both sides of the railway. Urgent calls here include a restaurant losing power at lunch, a unit block stairwell going dark, water in wiring after Terrys Creek overflows, and cloth-covered cable failing in a Federation cottage.
Our Eastwood work splits three ways. Owners of bungalows and Federation homes near the station want old wiring replaced without spoiling original ceilings. Landlords, with 38.7 per cent of dwellings rented in 2021, need smoke alarm compliance and quick repairs between tenants. And the food businesses around Rowe Street and West Parade need reliable power for woks, steamers and cool rooms. As your Eastwood electrician we cover all three.
The suburb straddles two councils, Ryde and Parramatta, and climbs from the creek up to the Hornsby Plateau edge, so homes range from low-lying villas to hillside houses with views. We plan work around strata committees, heritage settings near Brush Farm and busy trading hours. If a circuit fails mid-service or a flooded meter box sparks, our emergency electricians respond across the Northern Suburbs and especially here on the T9 line.

Homes near the station date from the subdivisions that followed the railway's 1886 opening. We replace aged cable, add earthing and keep decorative ceilings, cornices and timber joinery intact.
Flats and townhouses make up more than 46 per cent of Eastwood dwellings. We trace faults between lot and common property and report clearly to owners and strata managers.
Chinese, Korean and other Asian eateries line the mall and nearby streets. We supply dedicated circuits for commercial cooking, cool rooms and exhaust fans, planned around service times.
Almost 39 per cent of homes here are rented. We replace expired alarms, fit hard-wired units on every level and provide alarm testing records for agents between leases.

Our licensed electricians have opened up Eastwood’s Federation homes and California bungalows many times and know how their original wiring was run under timber floors and through lath ceilings.

We inspect before quoting. A Rowe Street kitchen, a villa off Terry Road and an apartment near the station each get a separate written figure based on what we actually find.

When a restaurant on the mall loses power or a rented unit has no lights, we reshuffle the day so an electrician reaches Eastwood quickly and makes it safe.

Our 250+ customers include Eastwood landlords, strata managers, shop owners and families, many of whom found us through word of mouth around the Granny Smith Festival crowd.

Each circuit we install in an Eastwood home, unit or shop carries labour cover for life, including restaurant feeds, rewires in Federation cottages and new apartment boards.

Call with your address and whether you are near the mall, in a strata block or up the hill. We pick a time that suits your tenants, your trading hours or your family.

Having checked your meter panel and where cable can travel, we send one fixed written figure in plain language, so the final invoice matches what you agreed to.

Parking near Rowe Street is tight, so we plan loading and arrive inside the agreed window. If Blaxland Road or First Avenue traffic slows us, we let you know.

Plaster dust is vacuumed, scraps go in our van, each altered circuit is tested, and your landlord, strata manager or family receives the compliance certificate plus a plain summary.

Spyro opened the doors in 2017, and a crew of five-plus licensed electricians now works under his name. Eastwood is one of our most varied patches: in one week we might rewire a 1920s bungalow on Shaftsbury Road, fix refrigeration circuits for a Korean grocer, and replace smoke alarms for a landlord near the station. The same team follows each Eastwood job from inspection to sign-off, so you always know who is turning up.

Eastwood’s shopping area around Rowe Street and the station has become one of Sydney’s best-known Asian food and grocery centres, packed with restaurants, supermarkets and speciality stores. That concentration of kitchens and refrigeration makes commercial power the service Eastwood needs more than most suburbs.

Every Eastwood job finishes with a CCEW, as NSW law requires, whether it is a café kitchen or a bungalow. In homes wired a century ago, any cable we disturb is replaced or noted for the owner. Swapping out a board means each final subcircuit must gain residual current protection under AS/NZS 3000, and Type AC units have been off the table for fresh work since 1 May 2023. Rentals also need working alarms on each storey.
Each Eastwood quote is a fixed written figure prepared after a look at the site. The range is broad: adding outlets in a newer unit near the station is fairly quick, while wiring a fit-out for a Rowe Street restaurant with three-phase equipment or rewiring a bungalow with sealed ceilings takes far longer. We see it first, then commit to one number.
Restaurant kitchen overloaded, rented unit needing alarm compliance, or a Federation home still on old cable? Phone 02 8999 3691. One of our licensed people will walk through your Eastwood property, lay out the choices and commit to a fixed figure on paper, and the labour stays guaranteed for as long as you own it.
Eastwood homeowners, landlords, strata managers and shop owners most often ask us the following. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Usually, yes. Our hours are 7am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday plus 7am to 2pm Saturday, and Eastwood sits right on the routes we drive most. A morning call to 02 8999 3691 often gets someone there before close. Businesses that cannot trade and homes with burning smells or sparking are seen first.
We look before we quote. A few extra outlets in a modern apartment near the station is a short job, but a Federation home with tight roof access or a restaurant that needs new circuits for commercial equipment takes more time and materials. After the visit the figure goes to you in writing, and it holds unless you decide to add something.
Many do. Homes near Eastwood station often still have rubber or cloth-insulated cable, sometimes mixed with later additions, and old boards without RCDs. We test each circuit, tell you which are safe, and quote rewiring for the rest. We work carefully around ornate ceilings, timber floors and fireplaces so the character of the house stays intact.
Generally, wiring from your unit’s own board into your rooms is the owner’s responsibility, while main switchboards, common lighting, lifts and car park circuits belong to the owners corporation. With townhouses and flats making up a large share of Eastwood homes, we often find the fault first and give both the owner and strata manager a clear written report.
NSW rentals need a working alarm on every storey, a fix within two business days once a tenant reports a fault, and a new unit once one passes ten years from its build date. Only a licensed electrician may fit the hard-wired kind. With nearly four in ten Eastwood homes rented, we do regular compliance rounds for agents and landlords and leave dated records.
It can. The business area backs onto Terrys Creek, which overflowed into the Rowe Street shops in 1984, and the oval near Lakeside Road still floods after heavy rain. If water has reached a meter box, outlet or underfloor wiring, switch off at the main if it is safe and call us. We test insulation and replace affected equipment before power is restored.
Yes, commercial electrical work is a big part of our week here. Eastwood’s centre is full of Asian restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets, and many older shopfronts were never designed for today’s loads. We plan dedicated circuits for cooking, refrigeration and exhaust, upgrade tenancy boards, install LED lighting and emergency lighting, and schedule shutdowns outside trading hours.
We do, carefully. Brush Farm House, Eastwood House and several homes in the area are heritage listed, and many Federation streets have strong character. Inside, we route cable through existing voids, avoid cutting into original plaster and keep new equipment out of sight. For external changes, check with the City of Ryde or City of Parramatta about approvals.
Often, yes. With Eastwood averaging 1.5 vehicles per dwelling, many residents park in a garage or basement space. In a strata building we need owners corporation approval and a check of the building’s spare capacity. We then run a dedicated circuit from a suitable board to your space and install a charger with proper metering if required.
All of Eastwood 2122 on both the Ryde and Parramatta sides, including Rowe Street, West Parade, The Avenue, Progress Avenue, Shaftsbury, Hillview, Terry and Midson Roads, Eastwood Park and Brush Farm Park. We also work every week in Denistone West, Denistone, Epping, Marsfield, Denistone East, Dundas Valley, Carlingford and West Ryde.
