Henley is small and owner-heavy. The 2021 Census counted just 156 occupied dwellings: 75.6 per cent separate houses and 20.5 per cent townhouses or semis, against 11.7 per cent semis statewide, with 57.5 per cent holding four or more bedrooms. The land was first subdivided in 1866 as the Village of Blandville, and the old Housing Commission site on the former rowing club land was sold for private development in 1997. We handle board upgrades, rewires and circuits for renovations on these river-facing blocks.

Henley has almost no commercial strip. Our non-residential work centres on Victoria Road frontages, the council-run Henley Community Centre, early learning centres such as Papilio on Crown Street, and larger business electrical jobs in neighbouring Gladesville and Hunters Hill.

Our same-day service covers every Henley street, from Victoria Road down to the Parramatta River foreshore. Typical urgent faults: corrosion from damp river air killing an outdoor circuit, a storm tripping power to a whole house, or a failing old board in a renovated home.
Henley households are established: the median age is 46, and 46.8 per cent of homes are owned outright. That shapes our work. Owners here renovate for the long term, adding kitchens, bathrooms and upper levels to capture views toward Chiswick and Abbotsford, and they want the electrical side done once, properly. As your Henley electrician we plan circuits for those projects, upgrade older boards and add lighting to terraced gardens.
Living beside the Parramatta River brings its own list. Outdoor fittings near Wallumatta Bay and the old Henley Baths face damp air, so we choose sealed, corrosion-resistant gear. Families running home offices or charging cars in double garages need extra capacity too, with 2.2 vehicles per dwelling recorded in 2021. For an urgent electrical fault on the river side of Victoria Road, we respond as quickly as we do across the Northern Suburbs.

Many Henley homes are being extended to make the most of Parramatta River views. We plan renovation wiring early, sizing boards and circuits for new kitchens, bathrooms and upper levels.
Close to Wallumatta Bay and the old Henley Baths, damp air shortens the life of cheap fittings. We use sealed, corrosion-resistant outdoor lights and outlets rated for exposed positions.
About one in five Henley dwellings is a townhouse or semi, including homes on the former Housing Commission site. We trace faults between private and shared wiring and report clearly.
Older Henley homes often still have boards without RCDs on every circuit. We replace them with modern boards and safety switches and leave spare room for future loads.

Licensed and seasoned, our electricians often work on river-facing homes in the Hunters Hill municipality and understand how damp air and sloping blocks affect Henley wiring.

We inspect first, then put one fixed amount in writing. A townhouse off Bayview Crescent and a four-bedroom house near Gladesville Reserve are priced separately.

If power fails across your Henley home or an outdoor circuit starts arcing after rain, we rearrange our day so an electrician gets to you promptly.

Our 250+ customers include Henley and Hunters Hill owners who found us through neighbours, local builders and families who met at Gladesville Reserve on weekends.

Every circuit we wire in Henley carries lifetime labour cover, including outdoor lighting on river slopes, renovation circuits and new switchboards.

Tell us your street and anything about access, such as steep driveways or narrow side paths. We book a time that suits your family, your builder or the preschool drop-off.

After checking your board, roof and outdoor runs, we write out one fixed figure covering the whole job, explained plainly so nothing surprises you on the invoice.

Henley’s streets are quiet and parking is rarely a problem, so our van arrives inside the time agreed. If Victoria Road traffic delays us, we ring before the window passes.

Dust gets vacuumed, offcuts leave in our van, and each new circuit is tested. You keep the compliance certificate and a short plain summary of the changes to your Henley home.

Local pockets we cover in Henley
Nearby suburbs we also serve

Since Spyro launched the company in 2017, it has become a crew of more than five licensed electricians. Henley is one of the smallest suburbs we cover, but its homes ask a lot of good electrical work: renovations on river-view blocks, outdoor lighting that must survive damp air, and older boards that need replacing. We treat each Henley job as if it were our own home by the water.

Henley sits on the northern side of the Parramatta River, and its blocks run down toward Wallumatta Bay, Henley Baths and the Three Brothers rocks. With 57.5 per cent of homes holding four or more bedrooms, gardens, decks and entertaining areas are big, and lighting them well is the service Henley asks for most.

Henley owners receive a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work each time we finish, as NSW law demands. Homes near the river face damp river air, so we check outdoor fittings and connections for corrosion whenever we are on site. Touching or replacing a board means AS/NZS 3000 residual current protection must cover its final subcircuits, and Type AC switches have been ruled out for new installations from 1 May 2023.
We give Henley owners a fixed written figure after seeing the job. The variety is real: adding a few downlights inside a townhouse is quick, while lighting a steep, terraced garden down to the water or wiring a second-storey extension with river views takes far more time. We look first and then commit to one clear number.
Planning a renovation with river views, fed up with garden lights failing in the damp, or still running an old board? Call 02 8999 3691. We send a licensed electrician to your Henley home to inspect, explain what they see and fix a written price, and the labour is covered for life.
Henley owners, renovators and families living by the river ask us these questions most. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Often, yes. Monday to Friday our electricians are out from 7am until 5:30pm, and Saturday from 7am until 2pm, with Gladesville and Hunters Hill jobs keeping us close by. Phone 02 8999 3691 in the morning and a same-day Henley visit is usually possible. Burning smells, sparking or a board that keeps tripping move to the front of the queue.
We only price after seeing the job. A couple of new outlets in a townhouse is straightforward, while wiring outdoor lighting down a sloping block to the river or running circuits for a second storey takes much more work. After our visit the amount is set down in writing and stays fixed, unless you decide to widen the job.
Moist air off the Parramatta River gets into poorly sealed fittings and corrodes terminals, which can trip safety switches or cause lights to flicker. We replace failing units with properly rated, sealed fittings, reseal cable entries and check connections. Outdoor circuits should also be on their own RCD so a fault in the garden does not cut power to the house.
Talk to us before the plans are finalised. We check whether your board and supply can handle the extra rooms, plan separate circuits for new bathrooms, kitchens and air conditioning, and place switches and lights to suit the layout. In Henley, where many owners build up to capture river views, we also allow for balcony lighting and outdoor power.
Usually, wiring from your own board into your home belongs to you, while shared switchboards, driveway lighting and common area circuits belong to the owners corporation. Roughly a fifth of Henley dwellings are townhouses or semis. We track down where the fault lives, then send you and your strata manager the same plain written finding.
Yes. The 2021 Census recorded 2.2 vehicles per dwelling in Henley, and most homes have a garage or off-street parking. We check your board’s spare capacity, upgrade it if needed, run a dedicated circuit to the parking space and install a charger suited to your car and daily driving.
Yes. With most Henley homes having four or more bedrooms, often over two levels, one alarm is not enough. We install hard-wired smoke alarms with battery backup on every level and outside sleeping areas, interconnected so they all sound together, and replace any unit older than ten years.
We can. Henley has early learning centres, including Papilio on Crown Street and Riverside Preschool near the Henley Community Centre. We look after lighting, power, emergency and exit lighting and periodic testing, and we book the work around opening hours and the extra care needed where small children are present.
First check whether neighbours on your street are also dark. If the whole street is out, it is a network outage and not something inside your home. If only your house is affected, turn off the main switch if it is safe, stay away from any wet fittings or fallen wires, and do not keep resetting a safety switch that trips straight away. Then ring us and we will trace the fault, which on river blocks is often water in an outdoor circuit.
All of Henley 2111, including Crown, Kelly, Sherwin, Dick and William Streets, Bayview Crescent, Huntleys Point Road, Victoria Road, Gladesville Reserve, Wallumatta Bay and Henley Baths. We also work every week in Huntleys Cove, Gladesville, Huntleys Point, Hunters Hill, Boronia Park, Abbotsford, Chiswick and Drummoyne.
