Beecroft is overwhelmingly freestanding. Census 2021 put separate houses at 81.4 per cent of dwellings, well above the 65.6 per cent state figure, and 57.4 per cent have four or more bedrooms. Crown land sales began in 1887 after the railway opened, so Federation villas on quarter and half acre blocks near the station sit beside post-war brick homes and newer units along Beecroft Road. We handle rewiring of early villas, circuits for big extensions and garden lighting across deep leafy lots.

Trade here clusters in a couple of blocks between Beecroft Road and the station, anchored since 2017 by Beecroft Place and its Woolworths. Around it sit arcade boutiques, cafes, medical rooms, churches, schools and The Beecroft Club. We handle shop and clubhouse electrical upkeep, tenancy refits and lighting for these premises.

Because our vans start the morning in Beecroft, same-day service is easiest to deliver right here. Urgent calls we get: a tree limb from a Copeland Road gum tearing down the consumer mains, a Federation villa going dark after a fuse blows, or a pool pump circuit scorching.
Families make up most of our Beecroft work, which fits a suburb where 56.7 per cent of families are couples with children and 43.4 per cent of homes are owned outright. Long-term owners ask us to modernise villas their parents bought, while younger buyers want kitchens, home offices and garages powered for how they live now. As the Beecroft electrician down the road, we also look after Hannah Street shopfronts and church halls.
The suburb straddles two councils, Hornsby Shire and City of Parramatta, and the job type changes with the terrain. Near the railway it tends to be heritage cottage upgrades; out toward Lane Cove National Park it leans to outdoor lighting, pool gear and urgent storm faults after branches drop across lines. The same crew then carries that know-how across the Northern Suburbs.

Early subdivisions near the station sold as generous villa lots. We replace tired rubber and cloth wiring, swap old fuse boards and keep new fittings discreet inside the Beecroft and Cheltenham heritage conservation area.
With an average of 3.6 bedrooms per dwelling, homes here carry heavy loads. We add circuits for ducted air, second kitchens, studies and rumpus rooms without overloading an ageing board.
Streets backing onto Lane Cove National Park and Chilworth Reserve lose power when gums drop limbs. We repair damaged private wiring, reset protection and fit outdoor lighting for dark bush-facing yards.
The strip between the station and Beecroft Road holds boutiques, cafes and professional suites. We maintain tenancy boards, exit lighting and display power, working early so trading is barely interrupted.

We are based in Beecroft, and our licensed team has spent years inside the ceilings of Federation villas off Mary Street and the solid brick homes that followed after the war.

Every Beecroft job starts with a look at the board and the roof space, then one written figure. A half acre villa and a newer Beecroft Road unit are quoted separately.

Living in 2119 ourselves means a dead circuit off Hannah Street or a sparking outlet near the station is often reachable within the hour on working days.

Plenty of our 250+ customers are Beecroft neighbours, school parents and church committees who passed our number along after we sorted a problem on their street.

Labour on our Beecroft work is covered for life, so a circuit we run through a century-old villa ceiling stays our responsibility for as long as you own it.

Pick a morning or afternoon that suits the school run at Beecroft Public or Roselea. Let us know about side gates, dogs or a steep driveway before we arrive.

We walk through the house, check the board and the ceiling access, and then email one written figure. Nothing is added unless you ask for extra work.

Our workshop is in Beecroft, so arrival windows are tight. If a job overruns in Carlingford or Epping, you hear from us before the window closes.

Drop sheets protect polished boards and heritage joinery, gum leaves and offcuts leave with us, and the paperwork plus a written summary lands in your inbox.

Local pockets we cover in Beecroft
Nearby suburbs we also serve

Spyro started the business in 2017 and chose Beecroft as its base, so this is the suburb we know best. The crew has grown to more than five licensed electricians, and many of our first jobs were for neighbours around Hannah Street and Copeland Road. Today we split our days between local villa upgrades, shop maintenance near the station and work further afield, but home still gets a lot of our attention.

Beecroft was subdivided from 1887, and 43.4 per cent of homes are owned outright, so many boards have been patched over decades without full RCD coverage. Adding safety switches is the upgrade our Beecroft neighbours ask about most.

NSW law wants a CCEW, the Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work, lodged after each job, and ours for Beecroft homes go in under your name. On villas from the first 1887 land sales that record matters, because we often uncover past amateur additions in ceilings and sub-floors. Anything unsafe found beyond the quoted work is noted in writing so you can decide the next step with full information.
We price Beecroft jobs only after seeing them, then commit to one figure in writing. The spread is wide here: adding power to a recent apartment near Beecroft Place is quick, whereas the same point in a Federation villa with lath and plaster walls and a tight roof pitch takes careful chasing. Seeing the job first keeps that written number honest.
Whether your Beecroft villa still runs on ceramic fuses or your garden needs lighting before summer, ring 02 8999 3691. We are based locally, so a licensed electrician can call in, check the job and send a written fixed figure, backed by our lifetime labour guarantee.
Beecroft home owners, heritage villa buyers, shopkeepers and church volunteers put these questions to us most. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Very often. Our weekday run is 7am until 5:30pm, Saturdays 7am until 2pm, Sundays off, and since our base is in Beecroft the drive to you is short. Phone 02 8999 3691 in the morning and tell us what is happening. Scorch marks on an outlet, a switch warm to touch or a main that will not stay up jump ahead of routine bookings.
We look first and quote second. Two Beecroft jobs that sound alike can differ greatly: a post-war brick home with a clear roof space is simple to rewire, while a Federation villa with low eaves and ornate ceilings needs slower, careful work. After the inspection you receive a written fixed figure, and it only moves if you request extra items.
Internal rewiring and board upgrades are generally fine. The Beecroft and Cheltenham heritage conservation area mostly shapes what is visible from the street, so we keep new meter boxes, conduits and exterior lights off front facades where we can. If you plan a larger alteration, check approval requirements with Hornsby Shire or City of Parramatta, depending on which side of the boundary you live.
It deserves a check. Many Beecroft homes were built from the late 1880s onward and have been extended several times, so we often see rubber-insulated cable joined to newer wiring, missing earths and rewireable fuses with the wrong fuse wire. We test each circuit, explain which parts are sound and quote an upgrade in stages if that suits your budget.
Tall gums across Beecroft, especially near Lane Cove National Park and Chilworth Reserve, drop limbs in wind. If a branch has damaged your private wiring, a damaged outdoor fitting or the house connection point, we make it safe and repair it. Street lines and poles belong to the network, so report those to the distributor. We can also fit surge protection at the board.
Yes. Census 2021 recorded two vehicles per Beecroft dwelling on average, and most homes have a garage or driveway, so a wall charger is usually straightforward. We check your supply and board capacity, run a dedicated protected circuit to the parking spot and mount the unit. If the board is full or old, we will explain that before quoting.
We do. Large Beecroft lots often have room for a studio, home office or secondary dwelling. We plan a submain from the house board, fit a local distribution board with RCD protection, and run lighting, power and heating circuits. Where a separate metered supply is needed, we explain what that involves, since network connection work is outside our licence class.
Yes. The commercial strip between Beecroft Road and the station holds small shops, arcades, cafes and professional rooms. We test emergency and exit lighting, replace failed fittings with efficient LED lighting, add power for new equipment and upgrade tenancy boards. We schedule noisy or shutdown work before opening time so your customers are not disrupted.
Deep Beecroft blocks with pools and big gardens are some of our favourite jobs. We run protected circuits to pool pumps and heaters, install outdoor power points, and add garden, path and security lighting that suits the bush setting. All outdoor work is weatherproofed and put on its own safety switch so a wet fitting cannot trip the whole house.
