Own a unit above the interchange, run a store in the Oxford Street Mall or lease an office near Westfield? Our Bondi Junction specials also stretch to Spring Street, Ebley Street and the Mill Hill Road homes. Name the offer when you call and we add it to your quote.

Bondi Junction is apartment country. The 2021 Census found 64.9 per cent flats, 23.7 per cent semis, terraces or townhouses and only 5.2 per cent separate houses, while 53.7 per cent of dwellings were rented. Two-bedroom homes led at 37.7 per cent and one-bedders made up 22.9 per cent. Away from the towers, Victorian and Federation houses line streets such as Denison, Woodstock and Llandaff. We handle unit switchboard upgrades, terrace rewires and lighting changes for both.

Bondi Junction is often described as Sydney’s fifth largest business district, with Westfield Bondi Junction, Eastgate, the retail precinct over the station and the Oxford Street Mall. Offices, clinics, gyms and cafes fill the side streets. We deliver commercial electrical maintenance, tenancy lighting upgrades and retail fit-outs, timed around trading hours.

Our same-day service covers every Bondi Junction block, from Syd Einfeld Drive down to Clementson Park and Waverley Street. The urgent calls we see most: a unit left dark by a tripped sub-board, smoke from a light fitting in an older walk-up, and a shop losing power before the mall opens.
Much of our Bondi Junction work comes through strata managers and leasing agents, because most dwellings sit in apartment blocks and more than half are rented. Owners of the older Victorian and Federation houses further from the mall call us about tired wiring, and professionals working from home, 51.7 per cent on Census day, want more outlets and wired data. As your Bondi Junction electrician we also look after cafes, clinics and offices on Spring Street and Bronte Road.
The work changes within a few hundred metres. Around the interchange it is tower apartments and commercial floors; toward Mill Hill Road and Hough Street, on the old 1881 subdivision, it becomes heritage houses with deep cornices. When power fails suddenly we attend as an emergency electrician, then continue on to Waverley, Bondi, Queens Park and the rest of the Eastern Suburbs.

Waverley Council lists local heritage items such as Myall and Cintra on Mill Hill Road and Charles Terrace on Denison Street. We rewire houses like these while protecting plaster, joinery and street-facing facades.
At 53.7 per cent rented, Bondi Junction keeps agents busy. We replace expired smoke alarms, test safety switches between tenants and send dated reports for the landlord's file.
Retail spreads from the Oxford Street Mall along Spring Street, Ebley Street and Bronte Road. We upgrade display lighting, add circuits for coffee machines and refrigeration and fit exit signs.
Commercial towers around the interchange house finance, legal and medical tenants. We run data cabling, rearrange power for new layouts and handle lighting maintenance after business hours.

Our licensed team knows Bondi Junction’s mix well, from rising mains in the towers over the interchange to the original circuits hidden inside heritage houses on Mill Hill Road.

We see the job first, then send a written fixed figure. A unit near Westfield and a Federation house on Woodstock Street get separate quotes, since access and wiring differ so much.

A shop that loses power before opening or a flat filling with the smell of burning plastic gets our next available licensed electrician in Bondi Junction that day.

Among our 250+ customers are Bondi Junction strata committees, landlords and small retailers, many of whom came to us through a building manager or a neighbouring shop.

Everything we install in a Bondi Junction apartment, office or heritage home carries a lifetime labour guarantee, so our work stays our responsibility for as long as you own it.

Let us know the building, the level and how the loading dock or visitor parking works. We book into your building manager’s access window or outside your shop’s trading hours.

Once we have seen the board and the cable paths, we explain the job simply and send one written figure. Strata committees can review it before approving.

Parking near Oxford Street is tight, so we plan where the van goes and arrive in the window agreed. If the Syd Einfeld traffic slows us, you get a call.

Lifts and lobbies are protected, dust is cleaned up and you receive the compliance certificate with a short summary suitable for the strata manager or your landlord.

Spyro opened the business in 2017 and our crew has since grown to five-plus licensed electricians, with the eastern suburbs a steady part of our week. Bondi Junction suits our skills: apartment boards and shared services for strata, careful rewires in heritage houses and quick turnarounds for shops that cannot close. From a smoke alarm refresh for an agent to a full tenancy fit-out, the electrician who quotes the job completes it.

Flats make up 64.9 per cent of Bondi Junction dwellings, three times the NSW share, and at least twenty buildings of 12 levels or more have risen over recent decades. That means most jobs involve a unit sub-board, a shared meter room and a strata manager.

NSW requires a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work after every job, and each Bondi Junction visit ends with one. In buildings ranging from Victorian houses to 1980s office blocks, tired cabling we come across is fixed or flagged on paper for the owner. Touching a unit board brings in the AS/NZS 3000 rule that each final subcircuit be RCD protected, and because Type AC devices have been barred from new installations since 1 May 2023, we choose Type A.
Every job gets a written fixed figure after we have inspected. Bondi Junction shows why phone prices do not work: new lighting in a modern apartment near the interchange can be quick, while the same fittings in a heritage house on Mill Hill Road may mean lifting floorboards and working around ornate ceilings. We look, explain the work and commit to one number.
Unit board tripping near the interchange, a rental needing new smoke alarms, or a shop on Spring Street that needs more power? Call 02 8999 3691 and a licensed electrician will inspect it, give you a written fixed figure and guarantee the labour for life.
Bondi Junction apartment owners, renters, strata committees and shopkeepers raise these questions most often. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
Generally, yes. Our electricians are on the road from 7am to 5:30pm on weekdays and from 7am until 2pm on Saturdays, and the eastern suburbs are part of our daily rounds. Call 02 8999 3691 early and we can usually reach Bondi Junction the same day. A burning smell, hot outlet or a board that will not reset is always put ahead of routine work.
We inspect before quoting. In Bondi Junction, a job in a newer tower unit is usually far simpler than the same work in a heritage house or an older walk-up, because access, parking and cable paths vary so much. After our visit you receive one written figure, and it will not change unless you ask for more work.
In Bondi Junction units the most common cause is an overloaded or ageing sub-board with a single RCD protecting everything. One faulty appliance, a damp balcony light or a failing heater can trip the whole unit. We test circuit by circuit, find the fault and recommend splitting protection so one problem no longer blacks out the entire flat.
Normally the lot owner looks after the unit’s own board and the wiring inside the apartment, while the main switchroom, rising mains, lobby and car park lighting are common property. By-laws differ between buildings, so we check the strata plan first. With 64.9 per cent of Bondi Junction dwellings being flats, we deal with building managers regularly and put our findings in writing.
Yes. Waverley Council lists local heritage items across Bondi Junction, including houses on Mill Hill Road, Woodstock Street and Denison Street. Internal rewiring is generally fine, but we route new cabling to avoid damaging original plaster, cornices and joinery and keep meter boxes and external lights away from the street elevation. Check with Waverley Council if you are unsure whether your change needs approval.
Each storey of the property needs a working smoke alarm. A fault reported by the tenant must be repaired within two business days, alarms must be replaced within ten years of their manufacture date, and hard-wired alarms must be installed by a licensed electrician. With 53.7 per cent of homes rented here, we complete many landlord compliance jobs and can arrange smoke alarm testing between tenancies.
Sometimes. Bondi Junction averages 0.9 vehicles per dwelling, and chargers in apartment buildings depend on a secure basement space, available capacity and strata approval. We assess the building supply, propose a metered circuit to your bay and give the committee a written scope. Kerbside charging on public streets is outside what we install.
Yes. On Census day 51.7 per cent of employed Bondi Junction residents worked from home. In compact units we add double outlets where desks actually sit, run data from the router to the study or second bedroom and add a dedicated circuit where monitors and heaters share the same load.
Yes. We work in retail tenancies along the Oxford Street Mall, Spring Street and Ebley Street and in offices near the interchange. Jobs include lighting upgrades, extra circuits for kitchen equipment and computers, exit and emergency lighting and shutdowns planned with centre or building management so trading is not interrupted.
All of Bondi Junction 2022, including the Oxford Street Mall, Westfield, Eastgate, the station and interchange, Spring Street, Ebley Street, Bronte Road, Mill Hill Road, Denison Street, Woodstock Street and Clementson Park. We also regularly cover Bondi, Waverley, Queens Park, Bronte, Woollahra, Bellevue Hill and Tamarama.
