Own a townhouse off Kissing Point Road, lease a home near Dundas light rail stop or volunteer at a hall by Park Road? Our Dundas specials cover streets around St Patrick’s Marist College, Dundas Public School and The Ponds Walk. Bring up the offer when booking and it is taken off.

Dundas is split almost evenly between houses and medium density. The 2021 Census counted 52.2 per cent separate houses and 41.4 per cent semi-detached homes, terraces or townhouses, more than three times the 11.7 per cent state share. Homes are roomy too: three in four have three or more bedrooms. That mix means we spend as much time in townhouse garages sorting shared meter panels as we do in family houses adding LED downlights, new circuits and a modern switchboard.

Dundas carries little commercial land. Our non-residential work here centres on schools such as St Patrick’s Marist College on Kirby Street and Dundas Public School, church buildings like the Dundas Ermington Uniting Church at Kissing Point and Park Roads, and home offices. We add circuits, upgrade lighting and handle data cabling for study and work spaces.

Every Dundas street gets our same-day service, from Station Street down to the Rydalmere side. Typical urgent calls here are a townhouse losing power because a shared board has failed, a garage door motor circuit burning out, or lights flickering across a whole house on Kissing Point Road.
Families dominate our Dundas bookings. Couples with children made up 55.2 per cent of local families at the 2021 Census, against 44.7 per cent across NSW, and they tend to want more capacity: extra outlets for home study, a dedicated oven circuit or brighter lighting through open-plan living areas. About a third of homes are leased, so agents call us too. As your Dundas electrician we also handle strata committees who need common lighting and meter rooms kept compliant.
The suburb’s shape affects how we work. Townhouse complexes near the Parramatta Light Rail stop on Station Street have tight garages and shared boards, while larger houses toward The Ponds Walk sit on sloping blocks where cable runs through deep subfloors. For a sudden fault we offer emergency electrician callouts, and we travel the rest of Western Sydney every week.

Semi-detached homes and townhouses make up 41.4 per cent of Dundas dwellings. We work out lot versus common property faults, upgrade shared lighting and keep meter panels labelled for strata managers.
About 35 per cent of Dundas homes have four or more bedrooms. Bigger households here want extra circuits for kitchens, home offices and air conditioning, plus boards that can carry the load.
Around 34.5 per cent of Dundas dwellings were rented in 2021. Agents rely on us to renew smoke alarms, repair faults quickly and document safety checks between tenants.
St Patrick's Marist College, Dundas Public School and the Uniting Church on Kissing Point Road need dependable lighting, power and exit signs. We schedule work outside classes and services.

Dundas townhouse blocks and family homes are regular territory for our licensed team, and we can tell a strata meter panel from a private board before touching either.

You get a written fixed figure for your Dundas job after we inspect. A three-bedroom townhouse on Kirby Street is quoted on its own access and board, never guessed.

If your Dundas townhouse goes dark or a circuit starts smoking, that job is lifted ahead of routine bookings and we tell you honestly how soon we can arrive.

Strata managers, landlords and families near Dundas Public School are part of our 250+ customers, and many heard about us through neighbours in the same complex.

Lifetime cover applies to the labour behind every Dundas circuit we install, including cable pulled through a sloping subfloor near The Ponds Walk.

Let us know if you are in a townhouse complex with a strata manager or a freestanding home, and what parking there is. We then pick a time around your family routine.

After a look at the board and the fault, a fixed quote reaches you in writing. If owners corporation approval is needed, we explain that before booking.

Our electricians arrive within the window we promised, parking in visitor bays or on the street rather than blocking shared townhouse driveways. Delays get a phone call.

Floors are covered on the way in, dust and packaging go out with us, and your compliance certificate arrives with a short note on the work done at your Dundas address.

Since Spyro opened the doors in 2017, the business has grown to five-plus licensed electricians, and Dundas has become a steady part of our Parramatta area week. Townhouse owners, strata committees and busy families make up most of the work, from fixing a failed common light to fitting a full board upgrade. We like jobs here because good planning matters: shared walls, shared meter panels and neighbours who need warning before power goes off.

Three in four Dundas homes have three or more bedrooms, and couples with children make up 55.2 per cent of families, so circuits here carry heavy daily loads. Older boards with one or two RCDs, or none, are the upgrade we recommend most across 2117.

We register a CCEW with the regulator after each Dundas visit, and in townhouse complexes that record helps strata managers see what has changed on site. Change or swap a board and the wiring rules call for residual current devices guarding every final subcircuit; the 2023 exclusion of Type AC units from new installs means we fit Type A instead. Older cable spotted mid-job gets flagged to you in plain language.
Pricing is fixed and written before we begin. Dundas shows why a phone guess does not work: adding a power point in a single-level house with open subfloor access is straightforward, while the same point in a two-storey townhouse with a slab between floors and a shared wall takes more planning and time. We see the job, then give you one firm figure.
Lights failing in a Kirby Street townhouse, a crowded board in a family home off Kissing Point Road, or a strata meter room that needs attention? Dial 02 8999 3691; a licensed electrician comes out, walks you through the fix without jargon and puts a fixed price on paper.
Dundas townhouse owners, strata committees, landlords and families ask us these questions more than any others. If yours is not covered here, call us on 02 8999 3691.
In many cases, yes. Weekday hours run 7am to 5:30pm, Saturday hours 7am to 2pm, and Dundas sits between Parramatta and Eastwood on roads our vans use constantly. Call 02 8999 3691 as early as you can. If there is a smell of burning, a scorched outlet or power missing from half your townhouse, tell us and we treat it as urgent.
The answer depends on the building, so we price after an inspection. A light fitting change in a single-level house is simple, while running a new circuit through a two-storey townhouse with a concrete slab between levels takes more time and care. Once we have looked, we give you one written fixed price and it only moves if you change the scope.
That depends on where the fault sits. Wiring from your lot’s board into your home is usually yours, while common lighting, driveway lights, shared meter panels and the main supply to the complex are normally owners corporation property. With 41.4 per cent of Dundas dwellings being semi-detached or townhouses, it is a daily question for us, and our written finding goes to both the owner and the strata manager.
Often we can. Dundas households averaged 1.8 vehicles per dwelling in 2021, and many townhouses have a lock-up garage. The main hurdles are board capacity and, in strata complexes, approval to run cable through common areas. We check what the supply can carry, confirm what approval you need, then install a dedicated circuit and a charger with proper RCD protection.
Usually the board or circuit is overloaded, or an older safety switch is sharing too many circuits. Bigger families in bigger homes simply use more power than original wiring expected. We measure the loads, check the board and cable sizes, then suggest options such as separating the oven onto its own circuit or upgrading the board with more safety switches.
Rental homes in NSW need an alarm working on each level. Once a tenant flags a fault, it must be put right inside two business days, and units reaching ten years from their stamped date come out. Mains-connected alarms are strictly a licensed electrician’s job. Around a third of Dundas dwellings are leased, so we call in between tenancies and provide alarm testing with dated reports your agent can file.
Yes. Many Dundas families extend kitchens, add bathrooms or convert garages as the household grows. We work with your builder from early on, planning circuit positions, lighting layouts and board capacity so the renovation wiring goes in once and suits the finished room. We also remove old cabling that the renovation would otherwise hide.
We do. Parts of Dundas fall toward Ponds Creek, so some houses have deep subfloors, split levels or garages under the living area. Those layouts change how we run cable and where boards can sit. We check access, use proper supports under floors and make sure outdoor and garage circuits are protected against moisture.
Yes. Dundas has St Patrick’s Marist College, Dundas Public School and church buildings including the Dundas Ermington Uniting Church. We upgrade lighting, add power, check exit and emergency lights and trace faults, and we plan disruptive work outside class times or services so the building stays usable.
We cover all of Dundas 2117, including Kissing Point Road, Station Street, Kirby Street, Park Road, Calder Road and the streets around the light rail stop and The Ponds Walk. We also work regularly in Dundas Valley, Telopea, Oatlands, Rydalmere, Ermington, North Parramatta, Carlingford and Eastwood.
